Not sure but I heard many kids stopped going to school after Covid where the impetus was not given by the respective governments in North. This will have a repurcussions in the long run. South I believe caught up on that. The problem with BJP is its failure to portray their achievements in the last 10 years. Chinese incursion, wrestlers issue, farmers issue, electoral bonds, sex scandals, Governors irresponsible actions, ED atrocities, Election commission action in Chandigarh Mayor issue, Shahbanu culprits freed by lower court and later revoked by SC, Rahul Gandhi MP revocation and reinstatement, not providing funds to opposition ruled states all painted bad picture on BJP. Unemployment, CAA, religious hatred are still pulling them down.

Shashi has made few very valid points on what really is this election for. The bjp has got it completely wrong by first launching the PM brand name gaurantee, which many of us know the past gaurantee is totally very hallow and then after getting few input from the 1st phase polling, had to change it completely to a communal vide. Dr Shashi tharoor is a classic case of presntation over subsatnce. there was a time i thought he was an intellectual then i realized it was the entrenched coloniality within me. like many of us i too was impressed by his King's english rather than the content and then i listened to his debate with Sai Deepak who in Dr Tharoor's language of choice shows the difference between rhetoric and nuaunced understanding and deep knowledge about a subject.

BJP is looking after the big picture of Indian security, Indian progress as a country. The people however need help at an individual level. Look after your people first is the key for political short-term survival. BJP should have been firmer with the Maldives, saved the money from the Turkey earthquake for India's needy, look after the farmers etc. Pity if BJP lose as India needs BJP on the international stage. In first two phases when polling % decreased i think that will affect bjp. But in 3rd phase when polling % in Gujarat decreased i understand one thing the congress or opposition voters are not coming to polling booth. I came to this assumption because in Gujarat no one even knows about congress candidates in their constituency. Also in madhyapradesh congress candidates are not active at all.
