I'm a African American man, my heart is filled with joy and love watching this video. Thanks for treating my American sister with kindness and love. One day, we'll all be free & come together as brothers and sisters like we once were before we were sold and shipped to America 🇺🇸 much love to all of my brothers and sisters in Ghana and the whole West Africa where my ancestors were captured and kidnapped from. God bless!
As a Ghanaian, I could hardly count how many people I had to give money on the streets. I asked a taxi driver how much some of these hawkers made in a day, I was told about 20 Ghc - that is about $2 dollars, may be less. These people are not lazy. They work so hard, but I believe it is the responsibility of the government to offer retraining in other productive areas. I felt so sad to see some of my people struggle while some drove their Land Cruisers and ignored them. I remember giving a crippled kid $50 Ghc. His face brightened as soon he realized it was 50 Ghc I handed him. All he could say was God Bless you. I felt so comforted that I had alleviated a bit of pain that day. There were so many of them, sadly. I blame the neo-liberal economic model that leaves so many at the bottom.
It's true , no gornment will do,. because they will not get their percentage from them.even as a country like ghana there is no price control, everyone has their own price.how can they able to help street people
I know I feel exactly what u feeling it’s tuff . Haves and many have nots . Guess what many if dem don’t realize that both dem and de heavy poor are in de same system , that they forget de viruses the poor masses carry can t come and infect dem . Poor people are like zombies or viruses. Think they can’t infect u ? Think again . The earlier they help dem de better .
Brother, sorry to tell you... But the private sector needs to be the saving grace for our people!! Myself included, we have let ourselves down. The government of the day is just there for being there sake. The only way out is selfless individuals that would sacrifice to get us 'there'
I use to sell the same thing in the streets without wearing a shoe in the 80s and I know how hard it is, now I live in the United States and I really want to take my daughter to Ghana to see how hard it is for children to make living...I give her $2700 per semester and her mom called me and said I'm not doing enough, this is after Im done paying her child support for 18 years... May God bless this young lady
Count your blessings day by day for what you have . The struggle is real and it's heavy . Thanks for putting yourself into the young lady's shoes and putting smile at her face . 😀
So Black Americans who survived slavery are supposed to help the people who SOLD us into slavery and ignore our Black American homeless poor now??? DON'T BE STUCK ON STUPID.
@@emilystevens6335 maybe you don't understand. This is not about slavery. It's about someone being kind to another human who is struggling to make it in life . And you that thinking you are slave want to try to do her job . And found out her job is even heavy and harder than you that thinking of being slave. You ain't slave . Being kind to others doesn't mean you are slave . Emily if you ain't a kind person I will say you will have a long way to go. So let love lead you.
Am from Nigeria, sometimes I cried when I see fellow African suffering. Many people are living below $10 per day in Nigeria and in many African countries While some are very extravagant in their spending. May God blessed this American woman for not discriminating against this African woman. She even wish to hawk everything for her.One love 💕😘
@@comahsamuel3969 Herh... Ghana is far far harder than most African countries. Things are very very expensive and our market women are the most wicked in the whole of Africa. If you don't know am telling you. Yet they will go to church and ask God for blessings when they know that overpricing goods is one of the things God really hates. If we don't protest against our market women and men, Ghana will become harder and harder and even if we are paid 1million cedis, we still won't be able to afford our daily bread. It's serious.

I love this act of kindness!! Thank you to all and especially the African American lady and her children. A good video and a great way to learn how some Africans make honest living.

This video made my day. The American Lady is like my sister, with so much love and understanding towards others. We all should be that way to make the world a better place. That American lady just expanded her family by carrying the burden her African sister's. We all should carry each others burden with grace.
I think we all loved the video because her humility. Some people give hawkers, but they tend to do it out of pity...and they show it. These hard working people don't need our sympathy. Yes, give money, but with a word of encouragement and a pat on the back. Now, that's empathy. You are saying," I understand your hustle. I've got your back".
Dear Martin : What does Ghana lack on this planet ?! We have everything that should make every Ghanaian super rich. But there's massive capital flight from our central bank to impregnate the banks in America, Europe & now the Arab banks also ! We elect people to serve & alleviate the suffering of their people & they turn into thieves & rogues. After Dr. Busia & Dr. Hilla Liman; All those that came behind them are blatant THIEVES....They have robbed the state treasury with gross impunity! One porous so called president after another. Africa is doomed !

Se mettre dans la peau d'une soeur afin de mieux comprendre sa réalité quotidienne est une très bonne initiative, ça témoigne aussi le respect qu'on a envers l'autre. Bravo tout le monde!
It is fun and great to watch an American lady having meaningful fellowship with Africans in Ghana. It is this kind of direct contact that permanently does away with preconceived illusions about a small slice of a truly huge continent. There is so much more to discover in Africa. Bravo to the lady from America.
Our African people are absolutely hardworking, but our leaders are traitors, and they should not lead our countries! I amazingly watched this heart-breaking video and felt both proud of our young sister and sad to see how she courageously struggles to just make ends meet at the end of the day! Thank you! Your brother from Sudan!
@@daphneytennard3267 It is tough when you can't see light at the end of the endless tunnel as our rich nations' natural resources stolen by our leaders and the big international corporations!
This is all over west Africa, the government should have been proactive in the development of the countries so these beautiful ladies can do other things that actually bring real money. Investment in factories, trade schools, manufacturing etc. If China can do it, Africa can do it to, we just need visionary leaders with big balls.
I saw a video an African American man was just passing out money on the street in Ghana last month. He was in town for one of the festivals in December. Once ppl realized what was going on, a crowd rushed him. He said it was no problem. He just didn’t want to see his people hungry.
@@bgee5098 your point is valid but they gave her 4x the amount of the goods so I think was ok for her to give them in this situation; if only paid for 1x then I agree to your valid point🙏🏾✨
If this is how you treat foreigners, I am moving to Ghana. The people look so warm and welcoming. Both women will fondly remember this day for many years. Go sisters!!.💗💖💛
My nan was a lioness. She was beautiful, strong and resilient. No one could keep up with her in the fields and she was loving yet a disciplinarian. African lioness.

I had to carry plantain, water, you name it in my head like this growing up In the Island, thanks for bringing a smile to this young ladies face. I had to subscribe!!!
Lady I like your attitude to belong here in Ghana. You are pure Ghanaian. Keep it up. You are a millionaire. God will make your dream come to pass to enjoy Ghana.
Very kind of you guys to help her out. She's never going forget this day... And a good experience for yyou guys too.. I love it when our fellow brothers and sisters from the diaspora get involved with the people. ✌🏾👍🏾

This is one of the interesting things I've seen on RU-vid. I'm grateful for this lady's curiosity and blessing the hawker afterwards. God bless our struggles

Great, true love. So happy to see the kindness share. As a Jamaican I know the struggle of of all my people world wide. One Love. JAH Blessings and Guidance
I’m screaming. My first trip to Ghana was 2016. And I came back to the states and told everyone “we are not built for that!!”😅. It’s a lot or work. SO MUCH RESPECT FOR GHANIAN WOMEN. They work HARD!!!
Just last Thursday I saw market women who commute to buy food stuffs from the villages and sell in the city, sitting at the back of the truck with their goods. In the scorching sun, in the rains, in dusts, they happily chatter and work...no complaints
Because there’s no welfare system in Africa also few credit cards creeping up brought by Africans overseas or foreigners but still not a thing and not accepted in many places outside a few foreign hotels 😂. My point is that Africans have been forced to hustle and live within their means as it’s a CASH system.
@@germanasasecondlanguage9340 I remember when I was a teen. A girl came To school sad. She said the police knocked down her brother and pushed his face to the ground. The boy was only 16. They said they did it because they were looking for a black man with black sneakers. Her brother was crying. He was just a teen and didn’t know what was going on. Also they were Nigerian and the family just moved to USA years ago and had to deal with that.
@@Justafox305 She told the truth. It is just heart breaking my dear, the blacks in jail, poor and poorly treated, living on the streets, police beating them, some being killed and handled like not humans. You can watch some on youtube.
God bless you my sister. I believe you have experienced the kind of life our brothers and sisters are going through. It is a great lesson. Thanks for the gift.
Am stunned by the same emotions the video generated in me l caring, sympathy and love for those who eke out a living daily by honesty means. The world could be different if those blessed with resources had the same attitude like our black American sister and her family
Let's appreciate how sooo beautiful the "pure water" seller is, my only prayer is for God to bless and uplift her so she can become truly beautiful officially bcuz she'll be sound minded and blessed Amen🙌🙌

Commendable Sistah. We have to go wit the intentions of learning the culture, not tryin to change the culture. We are foreigners relearning our culture as invited guests. She shoulda try to sell one. Damn no words! Had to subscribe to your channel and first time here! Your wife is a gem 💎. What a humble and well mannered sister-in-law! She’s a teammate and can clearly see why you married her. Your sons are chilled and seem to be with the program too 😂!! This is what it’s all about in a nutshell! Great sharing and special thanks to the two young sisters! Made my day. Thanks 👌🏿👍🏿👏🏿✌🏿
My hats off to the guy talking. I loved the way he respected the lady selling the items. We are going to Africa later this year. I will be showing them much love and respect and I hope it is returned.
That was beautiful thanks for supporting that young lady. Special thanks to the lady with infectious smile. Thanks mama for being nice any one can see it on yo face. God bless you. Peace✌🏾
I remember back from the late 90s into 2000s, a young boy of 10yrs having to hawk 3 rounds of such loads of drinks as this woman's every day after school into the late evenings....🥲. It surely built resilience and an entrepreneurial spirit within us....💪🏾. Today, I give thanks to God 🙏🏾 It was no easy feat growing up, but we made it 🙌🏾 and its gets fantastic 👌🏾
Makes me wonder if this is why america restricts the blk ppl specifically from selling in this manner in the southern united states. We have to pay hefty fees and have permits in the south but I notice immigrants and Hispanics in the west and north are free to sell as they wish! If afro americans could do this it would produce so much wealth outside of the system that the gov couldnt track!
Watching African videos , my spirit gets high...I love everything about Africa....good and bad....I see myself in the people in all the videos..its crazy , looking and my home on videos...when i should be there.....why did they take me away from my home.....I love you Africa....peace be on you all my family....one love🦁🦁🦁
I almost shed tears watching this... This is what true religion is all about. Hawkers on the streets of Africa is a show of African resilience, hard work and tenacity to survive. It show the never say die of the African spirit. In another sense it portrays the failure of African leaders.
Aww this is super awesome..GOD grace and mercy be multiple to you all..Blessings to these person's that bring such a joy to this lady and the others 👏👍😍.
I miss Ghana. Beautiful people, beautiful country. Best holiday I ever had. Hope to see you again my Ghanaian brothers and sisters. Soso lobie. Greetings from 🇸🇷🇸🇷🇸🇷
