@CLSGL Yes her story is awesome! I already know about her I did a small essay back in elementary. There is another African American girl who struck it rich named Sarah Rector in 1902. I know it's not 18th century but it's interesting to read about their stories.

European nobility (aristocracy) descends from century-old families, which established themselves as noble in ancient times and maintained this status throughout history, via heredity. None of those European noble families were black, despite what BBC, this channel or other history-deniers may tell you, to make you feel better about yourself. The only option for a commoner to become noble was to 'marry into' nobility or be 'ennobled' by a monarch. I'm not aware of any blacks 'ennobled" until modern times. If there were any, they're not shown here. Shown here are extremely rare black commoners who lived in Europe in 18th cent. highlighted out of proportion, because it's currently "trendy"

And yes, these people were aristocrats, despite what "anti-woke" warriors, full of hate, will want to admit to. Were they in the majority? Of course not. But they did exist. Get a grip and lighten up. Sheesh!

@@Brother_Dre1900 >"referred to as aristocrats for whatever perverse" That perverse reason is called "objective reality" or "actual history" by sane people, something you and this channel aren't familiar with, apparently. European nobility descends from old century-old families, which established themselves as noble in ancient times and maintained this status throughout history, via heredity or marriage. None of those European noble families were black, despite what BBC, this channel or other history -deniers may tell you to make you feel better about yourself. Snippets of random black people in European history does not make the majority or the pioneers of our history. Yes did they exist, of course as does most races somehow traveling around in some ways or others. Just remember these were the marginally few as in less than a hundred in the case of London England until the turn of the 20th century even. Still great cgi art to bring these people to life.

@Bran Evans Name me one Sub-Saharan invention, book or works that we use everyday that shaped the modern world? The last serious thing was the bone tipped harpoon circa 38,000 b.c. Again I am not disproving these few exceptions like this artist brought forth. I repeat these people existed but they are the exceptions not the norm. Look at the modern Netflix Cleopatra though in how maddening this is trying to reshape our Western civilizations past with this nonsense black washing is all I am getting at.

@@branevans3705yes really, nothing the OP said was historically inaccurate. They were numerically very small, a dozen people throughout hundreds of years, they weren't nobility, and left no genetic legacy with the indigenous European populations. Their cultural contributions wouldn't even be notable if they were Europeans.

Вообще то большенством рабов были действительно афроамериканцы, лишь не многим повезло быть не рабами, тоже самое про белых только там ситуация была кардинально другой, большенство не рабы, а меньшенство рабы
@BaltimoresBerzerker
@BaltimoresBerzerker Год назад
@@ivan_matvichukI recommend you research slavery more. The word slave likely comes from the word Slav, because they were the predominant slave population in Europe, North Africa, and the middle east for centuries. Entire European towns were abducted into ottoman chattel slavery. In regards to European slaves in America, I recommend the book White Cargo.
@daisilyy
@daisilyy Год назад
Literally every "race" and populations had slaves at some point in history. Some still do. So you are technically correct, but denying the african slave trade, which is literally the most documented instance of slavery, is beyond stupid. Please go back to school.
@daisilyy
@daisilyy Год назад

These are not aristocrats and are rare exceptions rather than the norm in early modern Europe. Selectively picking odd individuals to make Wokey Dokey revisionist history is ridiculous and anachronistic. What next, claiming Kleopatra VII, Queen of Ptolemauc Egypt was a sub-Saharan black African? Oh, forgot, it's been tried and failed hilariously.
