I’ve only had instant packaged jjangmyeon. This looks delicious and I bet it taste much better cooked fresh like this. I’m really missing out.

@@dee_lulu sauce packet, it has some chef on the front. the other brand I use comes in a black and gold package. You boil the noodles, drain... set aside. Then boil the packet of sauce then pour it on the noodles.

오..2900원이라고 해서 혹시?하고 봤는데 제가 자주 갔던 곳이네요. 너무 신기하다 ㅋㅋ.여기 짜장 퀄리티도 괜찮았던것 같아요. 다른 짜장면집은 5 6천원인데 밀가루 먹는 것 같은 곳도 있어서.. 딱 양이 먹었을때 배부르지 않은 정도라 싼값에 먹기엔 최고!

You know you're missing out when you see all this and it costs less than $3. That 2,900 on the restaurant's storefront sign is USD $2.62. And there is no tip in Korea. Also similar restaurants are everywhere within walking distance. Not only that they deliver.

this dish isnt. It uses unhealthy pork fat and lots of oil for stir frying. it's chinese-based fusion korean food. but.i absolutely love this dish... just eat in moderation.

@Robin Tamu If I closed my eyes it would have tasted like the most delicious pasta sauce I've ever eaten. Oniony but mild and has a very umami quality. Hint of garlic. Very savory but a tiny bit sweet. Had no idea what was in it until watching this.

Unpopular opinion: jjajangmyeon is better in theory than in reality. Same with jjampong. It's a really heavy dish. I'll take bibimbap always ahead of jjajangmyeon.

Kan Jiang jajangmyeon is one of most popular food in Korea. Even though it derived from China its distinctively Korean food. And no, Kungpo chicken can’t be considered one of the most popular food in America. Burrito and California Roll is more comparable to jajangmyeon. All food derives from somewhere. There’s nothing more American than apple pie but it originated from England.

$2.5 was actually the right price, when I lived in South Korea 10 years ago. We would order HOME delivery and ajuma would bring a tray on her head with black noodles and/or egg fried rice, chigge's and tons of side salads... and then you eat and put tray with empty dishes outside the door, covered with news paper and she would pick it up later. Miss that a lot... Whole thing was about $6-$7 plus i always gave couple dollars tip...

$8...$2.50.. Both sound better than here in UAE. Here the cheapest jajangmyeon I could find was AED 55 ($15). And don't even get me started on the other dishes. :(

Oddly, this seems like the same price as the instant ones on the street! The instant ones are edible, but this is DELICIOUS, and they're even making the noodles!!!! In America you mostly have to make it yourself, which fortunately is very easy and cheap!

짜장면에는 고기 넣치말고 고기 대신 감자 푹찐거랑 각종야채 넣고 맛나게 하는게 좋은데 대부분 고기로만 맛을낼줄아니 별로다 기름끼만 더있고 비계없는 살고기를 잘게 썰어 넣는거면 모를까 그게 아니면 고기대신 찐감자 넣어도 담백하고 말랑한게 고기보다 더 감칠맛 나고 좋아요 왜 중화요리는 짜장면에 고기가 드가야 맛난다 생각하지 찐감자랑 각종야채가 더 맛나는데
