With all due respect, forget Training with Rich. I would much rather Hunt with Rich! Great job with the harvest's and successful hunt with the wife. God bless!
I love the excitement and surprise in his voice when Rich said, “We killed a bear!” And Rich’s patience when telling Hillary how to describe where she was looking through the binos. Great video all around. Happy this crew got a taste of victory this hunting season.
That’s freaking awesome congratulations! My dad went to Canada every year when I was just a wee one. He always said bear was the hardest hunting he had ever done.
You see the enthousiasme of discovering hunting in Rich’s eyes, combine that to him surely thinking « how can I get fitter to make the physical stuff easier »!!!! This will be an incredible combination!!!! His obsessive personality will make him ALL IN, just like the CrossFit games. Can’t wait to see the programming and the future hunting video.
Absolutely awesome, videos like these drive hopefully everyone but my self wanting to be closer to roots and nature. I’ll be waiting for Mayhem hunts and guiding to kick start so I can pay for a trip!
An epic adventure all around. Awesome job on filling the freezer. That is a dandy bear and I loved his coloring. That's awesome to have Hillary there to see it all go down. Just epic!
I wonder if the issue with the "zero" (aorund 17:30) had to do with having a 2nd focal plane (vs 1st focal plane) scope. Matt was adjusting the scope, which changes the MOA values on a second focal plane scope if not at max zoom for that scope. Especially true if the rifle was zeroed with a SFP scope not at full mag. Something to think about.
As someone that grew up in Cookeville, A big congratulations! Glad to see great things happening from y’all. My son in law and are planning a trip but he has to work in September, but we will figure something out. I have a friend that packs in with horses and guides but I think you have to draw a tag to hunt.
That’s a great question actually. We should have been. I (the camera guy) was wearing ear protection, but Matt and Rich always seemed to forget to put theirs in 😅
@@CFProjectMayhem Just starting in hunting myself so theres a lot I dont know yet, so thought maybe there was a good reason. Seemed like Matt had a hard time with the ears, and I guess the 300 win mag is not very forgiving either. Thanks for clarifying though, and great video job! Keep it coming!🙌
Awesome video, super cool to see the fitness community get more and more involved in hunting! One question, is there not a blaze orange requirement in Colorado? Just curious not trying to point fingers
Zeroing a scope means it is zeroed. It does not matter who is shooting it after that. I have rifles that were zeroed by my Dad YEARS AGO that I can still drive tacs with and have never touched them. Reposses his "1000yrd" sticker. It wasn't the gun, it was him.
It’s amazing how well you all tell a hunting story and document the entire experience when you’re so new to the game. Better content than most hunting channels that have been doing it for decades. Telling the story and showing the true hunting experience is what we want to see. Kill shots are not what makes great hunting content. Filming Matt during his shooting captured so much more than a kill shot. As for Matt… man it’s gotta be hard hunting with your best friend who is the fittest man ever lol.
Really cool ❤ adventure. Thank you 🙏 for sharing. Great 👍 filming, editing, and sound. It really showed the physical demands, skill sets and teamwork that go into hunting. Looking forward to part 2 “the dinner 🥘.” Hopefully, Hillary made spaghetti 🍝 with bear 🐻 meat 🥩.
Love this. I am in the UK and cannot imagine this freedom or for that matter wildlife. Not sure I want to meet that bear jogging on my trail so best of luck with that.
We should have clarified. Rich and Matt tagged out. David’s wife had a bull tag, but they had to leave after the second day of the hunt so on day 3 our group was technically tagged out on elk (from the two cows)
Love the hunting content, just a thought, would you guys consider making a mayhem hunting Channel separate from this one to limit the amount of anti hunting comments? Then people can follow if they want.
I don't know what was worse when you shot the gun and started screaming by your ears hurting or when you got the love tats from your friend any about fell over!!! Wow!!
Maybe if the guy didn't flinch like a whipped dog, he would be able to hit something. He got lucky and hit a cow. Can't blame the gun. Respect for the Mayhem crew but you cannot blame the equipment for missing when the proof is in the video. His eye was out of the scope before the recoil was over.
Are you referring to the shots at 500 yds earlier in the day or later when he ended up taking his cow? Flinching was for sure real later in the day, but not earlier when he was confident he was hitting and it wasn't anywhere near. Not blaming equipment either, just helping to explain the situation for viewers. Gun was very clearly dialed as Rich went 2/2
