Week Two has come and gone, and week three is dwindling down! We've been so happy with the bear season so far, as we are still continuing to fight with natural foods.
Congratulations to Week Two and Three hunters:
Logan ~ 300lbs dry sow
Danny ~ 265lbs Boar
Kyle ~ 156lbs Boar
Rodney ~ 183lbs dry sow
Lucas ~ 131lbs dry sow
Crist ~ 151lbs Boar
We still have one hunter in stand! We will update in week 4 video if he is successful!

Your channel brings back great memories of growing up in Portage Lake in the 70’s and 80’s. I live in San Diego now but get back to visit family every now and then.

Nice bear….we had a bear come into our greenhouse and demolished our plants a few weeks ago..up in Caribou…

great video and congrats on the bears you got so far. was wondering why you don't field dress the bears?

Thank you! We dress our bears when hanging them on the game pole, this makes the gutting process way easier as everything falls right out! All our bear sites are within 20 minutes of the campground so we’re able to make quick time on getting them back, live weighing them, hosing them out and soaking them in ice water for the night. I’ve refrained from showing any of the “blood, guts and gore” due to RU-vid policies and avoid others “opinions”

1:37 Did you gut the bear before you put her on ice? I couldn't tell, the 2nd bear at 5:10 looked like he was gutted.

All bear are gutted and cleaned out on the game pole and then placed into ice water bath. Due to RU-vid policies and other peoples opinions I do not share the gutting out process.
