Just a girl from Maine sharing her journey of off grid living and her love for the outdoors. Follow along as I share fishing trips, days of hunting, and much more in the North Maine Woods 🌲
One true Mainer to another! Croziers From Maine just adore you both! Great spirit, great job both of you. Definitely a couple we could hang, and learn from.
When is the bug season for Maine? I can tell that you guys are fishing in the early spring and the bugs aren't out yet. Ive been to Maine, Portage lake area in September and there were no bugs then.
Great Video Em! Really like the new topper and nice work getting it together! I will say though you did miss out on a perfect opportunity for an "OH SNAP" and a "SNAP INTO A SLIM JIM" Comment though 😆
Please leave the fish in the water if your releasing. Bouncing its head on the bottom of the canoe is horrible. if you're going to make videos, please demonstrate the proper way of handling Fish with respect. Burning fishing spots it's not good for the resource.
NICE! Funny seeing you using what I used as a kid to keep our leaders straight too and i grew up in the 70s and 80s running around in NC lakes/mountains! For the shorter leaders I make a few other notches at the right lenghts and can store them all there as well!
Ever see any " Strange " animals etc up North there ? We do here in New Hampshire.. all over the place right into Massachusetts. First Nations, Native American friends call them SABAE,, ( Sasquatch , Hairy Man, Keeper of the Forests, Watcher of the Woods, Big Foot etc ) Had some intense Encounters... Stay Safe, Healthy and Blessed my friends. Are there any places to fish if disabled from shore not too far from truck ? I need double knee replacements plus developed Neuropathy in rt foot so difficult to walk now for last two yrs, sucks !! But could be worse. Peace...
😮New Subscriber here today, Love the fishing for trout. I can Definitely Respect the Fact you are trying to curb the swearing. I have been trying to cut back myself plus im introducing my great grandsons ( twin boys 7 yrs old ) to trout fishing and want tjem to watch respectable shows.
As soon as you dumped that meat in the the pan i started wondering if Mashed potatoes or rice was coming next to go with it and the peas... That looked TASTY!
You 2 should never feel bad about taking some ones freely given cash. Remember you are providing a service by filming, editing, and uploading these videos and I dont know about everyone else but I stopped having a "tv bill" years ago and YT is all I really watch if i watch something. 😁
REally appreciate all your videos! Headed up with my wife to look at properties to retire on and get away from people and you have been such a great resource of information! Love the videos and forget any of the naysayers. None of them would say that crap to your face so they should be of no matter!
Great channel - I love the raw and honest perspective you both share with us on your adventures starting to build a life off grid up north. A lot of people think they love the "simple life" until they realize simple isn't easy - It is a whole lot of hard work and compromises that eventually pay off in the end. Love the Pittie!
I love you 2 so much 🤍 I’m so grateful Em, if it weren’t for your videos, I wouldn’t have a clue how you guys are doing😂 I still can’t believe the tools that were given to y’all 🙏 😅
My boyfriend runs a family operated campground and hunting guide business and I work for the North Maine Woods Incorporation. We are very blessed for the opportunities right in front of us to start building and making a life up here.
@@AGirlFromMaine sounds like an amazing lifestyle! Did you get the jobs prior to moving there or were you already up there? I live in the suburbs now but would like to live a more rural life style. Thanks for letting me pick your brain!!
We don't like the hot weather when you feel like a melting ice cream cone. Fall is the favorite, but gotta get projects done when it's above 50 while we can.
If i remember right you guys get water from a spring. I was curious if you guys ever considered doing a sandpoint well? We got some acres near lincoln maine and im going to try doing a shallow sandpoint well out there so we can have on demand water.
I’ve suffered in Florida for the last 25 years. This heat and humidity is no fun. Heading up to Maine with my wife and youngest to look at property to retire on and can’t wait to feel the “miserable” mid August heat there 😊
You don’t hear of people coming from Florida to Maine to retire, that’s usually the other way around 😅 I was in Ft. Lauderdale a month ago and it was 95-100 the whole time so I’ll give you that.. but we’re use to -40° windchills.. it’s going to be 91 today and 95 tomorrow here.. 🥵
@@AGirlFromMaine HAHA yeah but ill take -40 wind chill during winter storms.. over 90+ and humid 8ish months a year! plus thre are just WAY too many people down here these days. Im definitely and off grid/WAY out there type of person. Grew up that way and really miss it! Just booked the flights/house/car rental so will be roaming The County in mid August with my wife and youngest looking for property to homestead on :)
Smart to burn wood once it's closed up. That'll dry things out nicely over the winter, and whatever product you use will permeate the logs better. Who's doing your windows, Paradigm?
