So this video shows Some truth but at the Same time its shows false truths So when they are Showing Pictures of the Interior of this house be aware of the landscape being shown out of the windows if you do not see the desert landscape then that picture is obviously not pictures of that house I know this for a fact because I live in Yucca Valley and clearly In one pic it shows water outside a bedroom window and another pictures Shows a grassy landscape two things that do not exist in YUCCA Valley the only. water that is free Standing in this area are Swimming pools and a man made pond on the golf course we are the desert Surrounded by tall mountai.ns on all sides and the only grass you will see here is at the high School and Jr. High School Football Feilds if you can even call it grass and or small patches of grass people try to grow at their houses but you Ranely see that
Whoever owns this home is going to have to pay outrageous costs for air-conditioning most of the year because of all the glass and the black exterior color.
That’s nice but the market is so manipulated along with county SB permits that you have to be rich to build because it cost alone 20-40k in just permits surveys plans so after you find a contractor who’s willing to drive to that are to build u home he has to pay his workers double as it’s super far from City’s so then at end of day it’s 1/2 million dollar home rather stay in LA city for 1/2 millions.
I usually really enjoy these videos, but this one is kinda strange. The video was suggesting that it was one house being shown. It was at least two and maybe three different houses being shown. And the standup shower...How would anyone get in or out of it? This was just kinda weird. Hopefully the next video will be cogent 🖖
I’ve seen a lot of Honomobo Facebook ads and people think that these homes are cheap because they are shipping containers but they actually aren’t. This model in particular is like 700k. Though with and after construction and septic and other utilities it’s more like a million. That’s without the land and without the pool. I think that it’s without the foundation garage too. It’s pretty insane.
This blows my mind. I would love to promote your work how beautiful it graces the desert. Maybe you would be interested in knowing of a movement bringing awareness of light pollution about to infiltrate and destroy our beautiful starry night sky’s.
Funny how the bedrooms belong to another home, I thought we were in the desert but yet I see a nice lawn & many trees🤷🏽♂️ @sheltermode pulling a quick one on their subscribers like democrats🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
Really nice design. I like the concrete garage/basement with the house above. Would be cool if they had roof access; especially for a homeowner with a telescope. This looks like a great place for astronomy. I'm not too keen on shiny wall finishes, but overall it's a nice design. Really love that ceiling, and black exterior paint.
I love the large bedrooms! It's an interesting design to me because it is very flexible. Roof access, basement apartment, garage, cabinet finish can all be altered depending on the piece of property where it will be built and the new owner's desires. Nice, clean, modern design!
Honomobo homes are nice but the cost per sq. foot is pretty enormous compared to a standard construction home. Figure about double and up. The problem with these homes if you decide to do it is ya better be prepared to hold onto it. Resale on these types of homes is a VERY limited buyer pool and the homes rarely return what you laid out in costs. It has to be a buy of love and not investment.
This design needs to be utilized more often pools and biotin basements for guests or secretary living spaces offices studios add solar systems she back up power and your winning everytime. This is a keeper
It's a beautiful home thank you for bringing this fine architectural wonder to us, I have been looking to build a home and I'm really considering a shipping container home, if you don't mind me asking how much would a house like this cost to make?
This is a very stylish home that an architect would admire. That said, unless you can get those shipping containers for free, there are a lot less costly ways to build this home using conventional building materials. Why not use steel studs for framing and sheets of corrugated metal for walls instead? Those materials are widely available for industrial and agricultural use and could be configured into any floor plan instead of being stuck with using the shapes of shipping containers. And why paint the exterior metal surfaces black? You could fry and egg on those surfaces during the summer in the California desert.
So download their floor plan, and self construct. Once you have the layout, the logistics are simple. 5 containers, concrete foundations, welding and carpentry, electric, plumbing and insulation. You can do this and save money.
As with numerous container projects I've seen on u tube , this one is quite nice - I've seen some more impressive , but I did like the sun drenched living area very much , and , I love the swimming pool - Thanks - keep up the good work ☺
Sam Chan True. These homes are NOT inexpensive even though, based on “shipping container” concept...one might think they are cheaper than standard homes. They are not.
Good luck with that..... If that were anywhere near a true statement ...stick home builders would not be scrambling to try and duplicate what container home builders can already do for less money. Stick home builders had better start building more affordable homes for lower income people are they're going to be starving.
@@eddiebd1526 Of course not homes like this are premium built homes. .. but the difference IS... the owners are able to spend more on premium items like appliances, furniture, and fixtures, instead of on wood framing...
