Yeah, the grainy 1970s camera look gives it away it's an older film. It needs that Star Wars polishing and then you can't be able to tell the difference, apart from the hairstyles that is. -_-
BC is absolutely THE OG progenitor of the North American slasher. Before this, we just had giallo and Psycho. What most people don’t realize is that Halloween was first born as a spiritual sequel of sorts to BC. John Carpenter asked Bob Clark if he was going to do a sequel to BC. He said no, but if I did. I’d have the killer escape from a mental institution on Halloween night and call it-you guessed it-Halloween. Debra Hill and Carpenter then ran with the idea and popularized the genre 4 years later. BC is one of those films that is really disturbing, not to mention obscene. Those spine chilling calls. You’d be hard pressed to name a horror film that can boast the same. We can isolate Oct 1974 as that precise moment in tIme that the slasher film was birthed. An absolute under appreciated horror classic.
This is awesome! I love Black Christmas as a matter of fact it's a holiday tradition for me I watch it every year while I'm wrapping Christmas presents.
To Bob Clark’s credit, he was enormously generous to John Carpenter, who initially asked him if he was going to do a sequel to BC. He said no, that h was done with the horror genre, but if I did. I’d have the killer escape from a mental institution on Halloween night and call it-you guessed it-Halloween.Debra Hill and Carpenter would take it and run with it from there, widely popularizing the slasher genre. So Billy is really the first iteration of Michael. Clark gave Carpenter complete credit for the movie. A pure horror classic!!
Bravo, this is fabulous editing and should be the official trailer of the movie as far as I'm concerned. Love finding this as I'm trying to find a good trailer to show someone to convey the vibe of this movie
This is incredible! One of my favorite movies and I thought about cuttting a modern trailer until I saw this perfection. How long did it take you to make this?? Also love the font you chose.
Rafael, You did a great job of maintaining the atmosphere of the film while combining it with new music and a modern editing style. What is the source of the string plucking/clock ticking music? Nice work!
Amazing! Flawless, with the exception of that last line. It feels too random and unrelated to the plot to be the last thing left in your brain after the trailer ends.
omg. did you edit the background music this well yourself or did you somehow obtain an instrumental version of the 2019 trailer? :O I'm shook. great job
I hate that there's a remark of this movie again 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ And the new one doesn't even look it has anything to do with the OG plot Other than that love ur modernized trailer
Joel Munoz it’s a remake so I’m open to new ideas it could be cool but my hopes aren’t too hype because of the amount of scenes they spoiled in the trailer
What's the point? That movie is still pretty modern to have a "modernized" trailer and the style of trailers from that era isn't even dated. It works better for this version because it's way older.

Maybe the one from 2006, but not the 2019 one. The 2019 one, I have no clue what that was trying to be. It might as well have been a sequel to one of the previous movies with some tweaks added in.
