In this episode we go to Toronto Canada to retrace the steps of yet another great Clark, Mr. Bob Clark and his 1974 film Black Christmas. Yes I am dropping this just days before 2024 but I'm still calling this a 50th Anniversary episode so frigging deal with it! Plus I wanted to have it out for Christmas. My good friend Scott On Tape, make sure to check out his RU-vid channel @SCOTTONTAPE. We went to all of the locations for the film and oddly enough there are not many in this film. It was a very low budget and they kept the locations to a minimum.

You are correct as I also stated in my video description and in the video itself. I'm just guessing that in 11 days I won't have to deal with the "It isn't really the 50th anniversary yet!" comments anymore.

Can't wait to watch this... I watched this movie for the first time a few weeks ago... I have not had a slasher make me think so hard and talk about the film after the fact since... Forever. Legendary film.

I have been in both the police station and the house. Actually the police station/community centre hosts tons of 12 step meetings so I have been there many times. And nobody ever cared when I told them it was the Black Christmas police station. So thank you for caring. As for the house, I used to help a friend who was an HVAC guy for a few extra bucks here and there and he did an install of new heating ducts back in the late 90s. I haven't finished the video but I am so excited that you chose to film these locations I wanted to share this right away!

I feel this film is highly underrated in the Horror community. While we never get a clear view of the killer's face or identity, I think it makes the mystery so better than many later ones. I think the downbeat ending is one of the best, along with the OG Texas Chainsaw massacre and Halloween, as it makes the viewer feel that there will not be a happy ending at all, as the killer is not caught or killed. The remake tried too hard to explain too much and keep a short run time. great video as always Sean. stay safe. happy holidays

I love the lengths that you go to bring good location shots to your videos im always amazed. And while it was sad to find out we missed your original banter with Scott due to the mic mishap, the footage you shot as always was really awesome! Plus the bonus footage of James Remar playing the piano (priceless). Amazing how much the trees grew around the house compared to the shots of you and James Duvall. 50th anniversary awesomeness! <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="400">6:40</a> Hey James Remar. One of his most memorable roles I instantly recall was his small part in 'What Lies Beneath'. I loved that movie. Seen it so many times. He was terrific in his part playing the neighbor. He was also probably the closest match to the original cop in Psycho as you can get in that remake. The voice and face, everything about him. Also in Pineapple Express he had another small part with that intro scene but totally memorable. "We've reached a final conclusion on item 9........illegal!!!" 😄

Thanks for this one! "Black Christmas" (the GOOD one) is one of my guilty pleasure must-watch holiday films! (Up there with Die Hard and Damien: Omen II). Couldn't help but punch the sky a'la John Bender when you showed up in a classic Class of 1984 tee, too! I graduated high school that year ["In the bed, On the floor, We're the Class of '84!] Pure Gen X, so I'm loving all the aethestics of this vlog. EVEN Scott on Tap. 😂

Great video as always, Sean! To think that you stood in 2 different places where John Saxon also stood! Do you feel more awesome as a result? I'm going to assume that it's a yes. Nice that the building where they shot the music studio now comes with more Remar. That says quality. This is awesome! Love the Remar cameo and his Piano playing skills! I was thinking that too maybe it was filmed in 73 the Christmas before but IMDB has it listed being filmed Mar 25, 1974 - May 11, 1974. Who knows how correct that is but if it is correct they did a good job as it looked like Christmas and didn't notice anything that could of been filmed in April or May.

Production dates apparently started in February '74, so it's one of those classic movies that came out (October) the year it was made like Carrie (1976) for instance.
