If you grew up in a black neighbor hood, you would know that there are good and bad cops. Ironically, some of the worst encounters with Law Enforcement can come at the hands of a black officer who over does his job and has it out to show that he or she is in charge. Black has become the sign of danger and criminality. Anti-Blackness is a factor in American policing. And Black officers, agents of an institutionally racist system, are affected by this. Anti-Blackness affects Black people, too. And this might explain why Black police officers exhibit more anti-Black bias than the Black population as a whole.
