Is that Jason Bonham on the drums? Wow, who the hell are these guys?! Actually, where the hell have I been. Im blown away by Glenn Hughes voice. They are the definition of "super group"!
Jason joinned Heart at the Kennedy Center (oops nearly slipped into my native British spelling) for their honouring of Led Zeppelin "Stairway to Heaven" caused Robert Plant to have a Kleenex moment
This sounds like a great Led Zeppelin song from the the Seventies! Such a majestic sound! I am forever grateful for being old enough to appreciate the music from the Seventies. This song is so great that it brings it back. It really is music to ears!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Good music is good music, if its destined to be a "classic" it will, theres tons of music that has come after 2000 that i already consider all time classics up there with anything that came from the 60s and 70s
It was good; trying to emulate Jimmy, but Jimmy pulled guitar sounds from the ether, his cerebrum and his marrow....Joe's just playing a succession of licks. Damn good, but not '73 Page...who seemingly cannot play the guitar anymore, so there's that .
Joe says it's his addiction in life (guitar). Well Joe Bonamassa, your guitar playing and singing is my new addiction. I can't get enough of your music. You are brilliant!! Love you.
My God....that was one of the greatest music renditions I have heard in over 50 years...............Bonamassa is taking over where Gary Moore left off......what more can I say?
This might very well be one of the finest songs ever written, that emotion in those vocals, the sound of the guitar is as though its actually wailing out, the tempo and that pickup at 2:30 I could listen to this all week
Whenever you thought that Rock`n Roll might be gone or dead- this song is in my opinion the best evidence: Rock will never die! They picked up the torch and led it further!
Lyrics: I hold, the passion For many years, i would listen The heavy weight upon my chest Like a wailing wall Code of silence of a dying heart Don't know where the end begins and the truth starts When the hammer falls it falls on you I sit here waiting, waiting I pull back the veil and I just can't breathe, UH And I fly away, fly away Like a song of yesterday Freezing night an oil lamp burns The suns fire, will soon return Broken castles, the flags still flown Like a living ghost Code of silence of a dying heart Don't know where the end begins and the truth starts When the hammer falls it falls on you I sit here waiting, waiting I pull back the veil and I just can't breathe, UH And I fly away Break it down, so low you don't know where you been Try a little harder, now you're the drunk mad man in jail I fly away Gonna fly away gonna fly away I'm reaching out Like a song from yesterday
Yes he is...saw him and his band a couple of months ago in the Netherlands.....and he told us that there might be some plans together with Joe. That would be awesome, because I love this band so much and never saw them life 🙏 💜👌
Every time I hear this tune I try to figure out how it isn't up there with Stairway to Heaven (or similar tunes) in popularity... it's got everything going for it... excellent hook / riff, great lyrics, amazing musicians doing their thing... it's as solid as it it gets...
I've lived a full life of 67 years. Have seen and heard the blues since I a boy. Its something that is just deep inside you through good or bad times. From the delta to the windy city up state to city by the bay its everywhere you are if its in you. Joe is one of the best of his generation no doubt in my mind. We are blessed to have his music its gets down deep in my soul, its music of American culture thats been around since the first seed of cotton was planted and the struggles that have been a part of life. Blessed so blessed that the good Lord gave me good ears. I'll have running in my veins til my last breath of life but the blues will keep breathing. Love to all I've got the blues so does the 🌎. Thankz Joe
@@CLD170 Chris, I so much agree with your statement of truth, I know that without sound and lighting it is a very different experience. What an incredible good song. Crème de la crème!! Thanxx so many times for playing and singing this song so heavenly and with a tremendously great passion!
they will perform together in the "Keepin' the Blues Alive" Blues cruise in Winter 2018. May be the only time together, if no other shows are added. But sure will be an epic show!

4 of the business's biggest beasts on one stage! Love these under-the-radar super-groups (like Chickenfoot et al) - if you know what to look out for you are going to see and hear the very finest there will ever be without all the noise and hype of the mainstream
Holy shit, that opening riff is addictive. Glen still has it perhaps even more than before, as for Jason! What a performance by all. I saw Derek playing with Billy Idol many years back and he was incredible
I really miss BCC!!! Come on JOE B. Bring them back one more time!!! I know you and Glenn didn’t alway get along the best, but such a great band! And do a USA Tour!!!😎
just 'accidently" found these guys on RU-vid summer of 2019....love it! thanks Joe, Glenn, the backup singers and band. I've listened to this particular song dozens of times....makes me want to take a long cruise in my car
This is SO AWESOME!!! Got me some harmon/kardon loudspeakers on my back patio with me house in the country. My neighbors are good rock enthusiasts... My Rottweiler even enjoys this! Thanx for this upload friend Chow everybody that digs this!!!
Fantastic song. Amazing that Glenn Hughes is almost 70 years old. Man, he is in great shape! BUT! Who the HELL puts an advert in the midle of the guitar solo? Talk about a buzz killer.
