A steam weekend with many road steam engines took place in 2012. The roads, streets and working areas of the BCLM provides a very fitting environment for these vintage steam engines to be experienced in. The steam cranes, traction engines, steam tractors and showman's engines were able to be seen in the sorts of locations that suited the age they were originally built in, many over a hundred years old.
