I was worried when Isaac left that they would dwindle back into obscurity. But good god, this material is just as good in my opinion. Obviously, it sounds kinda like a different band, but I think the integrity of the material is just as solid. The chamber folk influence on some songs is breathtaking.
I can't get over what all the vocal performances!!! Tyler's voice soars over the louder tracks while still having so much power in the more intimate moments, mays ballads are incredible, and i love how leaning-on-the-piano-croon-y Lewis's vocals and songwriting is. Whatever they're putting together is gonna be so sickkkkk
Hopefully Isaac finds the peace he needs and someday returns but in the meantime the band still sounds just as fresh and exciting as before. I can’t wait to eventually hear this material fleshed out in album form.
The fact that the new line-up and arrangement is leaving room for May to flex her voice and writing skills is more than enough reason to convince me that this band is going to only continue to own even in Issac's absence.
this is so fucking cute, now that Isaac is gone they are all singing so no one has to bear the burden of being the lead frontman, I am happy they are still so happy and positive sounding even after losing Isaac
@@joshcuneo2782 They formed in 2018 and in four years delivered two fantastic albums so I don't think it will be too long. But I don't think there's any rush since we have those two albums already, as much as I want to hear these songs properly
It’s really awesome to watch them all take turns band leading. Like during i won’t always love you with her hand motions she looks like a conductor or at the end of across the pond friend Lewis counts down the noisy bit at the end so everyone ends on time with each other. Ya love to see it honestly.
@@roustghoti this makes me a lot more optimistic about their music now! I was a bit upset when I heard the news but this has me anticipating their next project again :)
