Nightclub setting with black dancing girls. The gorgeous lady in white sitting in her seat and gettin' down in Rosetta Davis, dancer and singer with Duke Ellington.
There were some darker dancers during that time. Look at stormy weather and cabin in the sky. Most of the background dancers were darker. Sometimes in these older films, some women were lighten, same as in photos. But yes lighter women were mostly used but a few darker women got in. I’m happy they filmed black women period outside of maid stuff.
'Back in the day', Cab Calloway wanted darker-skinned girls, while Duke Ellington wanted lighter-skinned girls. Worldwide, lighter-toned women of any race tend to be more highly regarded.
@@quantjonna293 I assume you mean the solo dancer. Any idea who the lady in the white dress seated at the table is? I've heard that she was a star in her own right.
I wish someone had a clear and crisp copy of this. THAT is the reason why a lot of these film clips are ignored. Most older films can be 'remastered' and upgraded.
I find it astoundingly interesting, that you are here admiring and Leering at Black culture and Black expressions while being racist at the same time. 🤔🤔
@@sloppygirlz just because you're a black doesn't mean you know much about the black society or black community, so let me give you some education even as a black person.. so you say, I don't believe though. we black Americans are not pure blood African, we are not, the average black American genetics, is 15 to 33% european, that means the average black person that you see walking around on the streets, in our families, around in the United States in general, are those percentages, it can be lower, and it can be significantly higher, there are black Americans who have 40% european, there are black American families who have 70% European, there are black Americans who only have 3% European. But we are all black. Know your culture, know your race, Know your heritage, because you don't know nothing about yourself. And that's very sad, very sad that you don't know anything historically about the Black American society, our heritage, our genealogy, our genetics, And our identity. We are not pure blood West Central African, we're not, we have not been for a very long time.
@@bobbyschannel349 I am a black American and do not believe in colored people being black. 85% or more is black. 75% can pass and yes I know genetics can take a wrong turn. But in the world a lot of African Americans are colored less 75% or less Black blood. Again I know some at times genetics can take a wrong turn.
