It’s good because it uses AA batteries not a rechargeable battery. It will never be as powerful as those that have built in batteries. That’s not the point.It’s for people who want rotations not power. Ie light duty and something where the battery can easily be replaced and removed for storage.
I bought 2 different models of Black & Decker Lithium screwdrivers one model LI3100 Type-3 3.6V 180 RPM & one model LI2000 Type-2 3.6V 180 RPM They both turned out to be useless crap. I'm done with Black & Decker tools. And why can't Black & Decker use legible part numbers on their tools ? I thought the LI was a U until I stumbled onto another video today.
It is still working but my usage is ocassional home usage. I love this thing. Recently left the batteries for long time and they leaked inside spoiling the battery compartment, that's my mistake but the screw driver still is working like new.
I've been using this for few years now and the first set lasted till a few months back. My usage is limited, just around home, so can't say how many hours etc. But because of AA cells, it is always ready when needed. I have another B&D which is rechargeable but when I try to use it, it is always out of charge and needs to be charged. So if you are a regular user, go for rechargeable. Go for AA if you are ocassional user so that the screw driver is always ready when you need it.
Its working great so far. My use is limited, I'm using it with normal AA batteries and the first set lasted till a few months back. I'm happy this uses AA batteries as it is always ready for an ocassional user like me. I also bought a B&D rechargeable one after this and it always needs to be charged if I do not use it for few days. If you are regular user, go for rechargeable batteries or screwdriver, else normal AA batteries are a better option.
I don't have it with me right now. If I remember right, the end of bits are magnetised to hold the screws. The insertion side into the screw driver is not magnetised, the bits are held in place by a small ball in the screw driver.
