Black Diamond Whippet Ski Pole

They are very cool for mixed terrain... And, in better than 99 percent of slips or begining of a fall (by a person who is paying attention to their situation) can be easily arrested as well by this devise as an ice axe. But once you get some momentum, in that less than 1 percent situation, you might as well have a hotdog cooking stick in your hands.

Nice video, I've been in your Next adventure a couple times checking out your ice axes. Gunna have to stop by and check this one out now!

What's difference between Carbon Whippet and Traverse WR 2 poles?

I would NOT recommend this product. If you are expecting to take these poles into Black Diamond type of conditions, these are NOT for you. I bought them with the faith that they would stand up in Black Diamond type of conditions. One broke with very little force in a green diamond type of condition. Black Diamond will not stand behind their product. I had to call and email them for a month and they said that I was at fault and put excessive force on the pole. I always pay top dollar for fly rods and they always replace them with no questions. I would recommend Walmart. You will get similar quality for $30 and at least they will replace them if they break.
