In order for this war to stop we need money for programs we can’t focus on the young adults or the ones already off the porch cause most of them already in the field but for the young kids who want more we need paid football leagues, basketball tournaments, sports programs that teach the sport like boxing, swimming etc and things of that nature these young boys don’t take interest in anything outside of a gun cause nobody is promoting diversity, In order to discover your love for something you must first try it. Money can get the youth involved no one cares about a trophy but when you make these leagues and other sports program paid programs for the winner it becomes serious and more competitive. Teach them early the value of getting paid for your talents.We need art centers that teach photography, musical instruments, dance etc. We need funding for after school trade programs get them while their young. I went to welding school for free out in Iowa after coming home from jail never knew anything about welding never knew it existed until I moved to Iowa and my pastor got me in the program and I enjoyed doing it once I learned the skill that goes to show it’s more to life than what we know it just take someone with the courage and money to help the youth find themselves, find their path early and walk it. I’m 28 in Chicago if God willing I’ll see 30 then 60 more yrs. if we get them while their young and help them find their gifts we can save them I say we focus on the new generation the ones 10, 11, 12 and the teenagers who want more out of life etc. cause TBH it’s some young fools out here 15, 16 that just just don’t give a fuck. It’s unfortunate but we have to separate them from the ones still trying cause all it take is one that’s too far gone to influence the ones that’s reachable. Some of these kids want the streets nothing you can do or say gone change that let them have what they looking for cause this still Chiraq and they plan to live up to that name at any cost even if it mean risking their life or freedom.
