There is not enough discussion of Bill in the comments. So here it is: Bill is such an underrated character. Corey really showcases his ability to be emotional and vulnerable. We all cried during Bill's final scene.
I honestly kind of saw it coming, especially when Paul grips his shoulders and starts his "never gonna let you die" sentence. Still, very heartstring-tugging.
I don’t think that that’s very fair to say, because almost all of Starkids roles could be played by any race (Excluding parodies) and it isn’t fair to give a role to a person of colour if they wouldn’t be as good as someone who is white, because imagine if it was done the other way around. I think that it should be based on who would be best for the role, say Jon Matteson vs Corey for a role, I think if Jon is better for that role then we give him that role, and if Corey is better for that role then we give him that role, not just give it to him because he’s of colour.
God in the middle of watching this I forgot that Corey plays Bill, he just played him so well, like I was genuinely just like “oh hey there’s bill! ...wait... who plays bill? Hmm who is that? *stares at his face* wAIT”
After seeing an interview with Lauren that took place a little before Firebringer was out, I was pleasantly surprised to see that her personality was very similar to Molag's.
It’s kind of sad that Starkid isn’t super diverse, but I think they’re getting better. Hopefully they’ll only move forwards, and knowing the team they’ll do everything they can to become more inclusive.
I follow nick on twitter and hes made a few tweets about trying to be more diverse, both with race, gender and sexuality. I'm excited for what's to come
It makes me so mad when people say things like “wowwww our doors are open is soooo good Corey has been hiding his voice” ofc it was amazing but this isn’t the first time we’ve heard it you just weren’t paying attention and didn’t give him the recognition he deserves
What Starkid needs is 1000% more Corey, everything he does shows how amazing of an actor he is and starkid really sleeps on him. BF was good, but we need more
Corey was working on another play during Black Friday rehearsals which is why he's limited to Frank/Principal Humbug and not in the ensemble numbers except What If Tomorrow Comes. Hopefully the next Starkid production will give him a big role! Would love him to be a lead!
Girl I feel you. I definitely think Starkid needs more diversity and I hope to see more black actors and actresses in the future. I also hope I can join them in the future.

@@emmajune4129 it definitely depends on the college, there are plenty of colleges with very diverse theatre programs, but evidently michigan's wasn't at the time
There are few black people in StarKid, but I feel like all of them have very iconic roles. God, this sounds like I think that you're wrong, but you are very right.
bill is the best character in tgwdlm and his storyline was one of the most interesting in any starkid show but he's so underrated and idk but if he was played by robert or joey i bet id see a lot more appreciation for him 👀
As one of the few black Starkid fans, I loved this video! Each person in Starkid is fantastic and I love them all. When James appeared in BF, I was like “whoop whoop! Another black Starkid!” He’s handsome, a great singer, and a great dancer. Starkid really does their best to make their cast diverse and that’s great! I also love that they add lgbtq+ characters! Starkid is honestly a wonderful thing to have in this world.
James makes dancing look so easy and I try to do it and I just fall over in an ungraceful heap lmao, but they’re all SO TALENTED!! Thank you for supporting BLM as well :)
We need more diversity in Starkid! Knowing how conscious they are about representation, I’m sure they’re working on it, so I hope we get to see more non-white actors soon!
We need more Tiffany and Britney. Their voices are exquisite and their comedic timing is also amazing. We also need more Corey solos. I literally bought the homecoming album just to hear the beginning of the Twisted song with Britney and Carlos
Laura R because they are a group of college friends that started in a college that wasn’t very diverse and they are a very tight nit group it’s taken longer for the diversity to make its way in but they are aware even in Avpm they joked about it
I feel like it's less because the group is intentionally not diverse, but more because it was started as a group of friends in college. I feel like the actors are picked because they know each other rather than intentionally to be mostly white.
While this is true, Nick Lang has been making commitments to fix this as well. He’s said that he wants to make more diverse roles in gender,sexuality. And Race. Also this is in the process of changing.
I agree with these two comments but I also think Starkid definitely shouldn’t be blamed for this. The fact that they’re making it more diverse is totally awesome but the fact that it wasn’t as diverse in the first place isn’t their fault though
