While trying to avoid another racer coming out of turn 10 I get rear ended, popping up into the air and turning sideways, which for some reason earns me my first black flag.
This was a few years ago so maybe you have a bit more experience now, but it's extremely common to get rear ended in this situation - you've gone too fast into the corner and got stuck on the exit which means that anyone following you is going to be travelling through the exit of the corner faster than you are and they'll have to brake to avoid you. That isn't really the point though. The reason you got black flagged is because these guys are just interested in protecting their cars from overly aggressive drivers. It isn't F1 and they aren't micro-analysing the footage to decide who was most to blame. You're all over the back of car 69 at 1.13, you don't give the cars on your inside enough space on your overtake at 1.34 and nearly get side swiped, then you overshoot the corner and (jointly with the guy presumably driving too aggressively behind you) end up in a collision. So yeah, the staff probably watched all that unfold, saw two of their cars get smashed and thought get these two guys off my track before they do any more damage. You probably would too if you were in their position - the guy at the end says something like "two weeks ago you killed two cars" which is all the explanation you really need.
Still. It's a go kart place. If you can't have cars that hold the road, don't own a go-kart place. Most of em are kids trying to have fun. Of course they will bump into each other from time to time....
@@dustyh3640 I get it, I have nothing against go-karting I attend tournaments myself locally, And at some points you can't control if you hit a kart or not
@@cameronpassmore7478 nope it was in a funfair or a carnival. but the area had loads of karting places there was like 3 places to go karing in one small area
@@dps2646 my point is that he got a black flag for a minor racing incident (neither persons fault) in order to keep the drivers safe, even though it was nearly unavoidable. and its very contradicting that they will obses over this tiny incident when the drivers aren't even given race suits. the absence of race suits will have way worse consequences than this one incident. I'm just suggesting they sort out there priorities and give them greater protection rather than black flagging everyone who makes contact.
@@dps2646 he didn’t get t boned, they both oversteered in the exit causing them too collide. It was a massive dive but He didn’t make contact whilst diving.
Also these karts don’t go 80 and I’m not saying just let them go crazy and smash into each other, just don’t obsess Over one collision when they should be sorting out other priorities instead.
I understand why the marshalls have black flagged you. From a other point of view it could look like you crashes them out but from the go pro it was a race incident.
Even on the go pro, he steams at him, diving that guy who for all we know took corrective action ran wider but the guy kept coming. The guy filming the video nearly ran out of space while going into the guy while he was off track already due to the previous incident, it looks like forcing a mistake out of a driver (essentially pressuring them to fold because if he doesnt run wide, he gets slammed into the side and possibly overturned on the kart. Black flag was 100% correct in my opinion.
The guy lost control of his own vehicle and ran into someone 😂 that’s not a ‘race incident’ that’s sloppy driving - hey buddy when you try to drive above your ability level and make it someone else’s problem you’re out of the race at any proper course. If you want to defend positions and take lanes and thread needles and box people out of passes that is skilled racing. You can still slide tackle in soccer but you have to come for the ball my guy. You did the equivalent of a slide tackle from behind… red card get him out of here no good
@grepgod8545 it seems clear that you didn't see that the guy filming was trying to avoid while maintaining a safe line to avoid further issues and the guy who went wide just tried to cut in front and didn't realise that there wasn't enough room because in a situation where you have gone off track you let the person closet to you go past and then rejoin the track to put yourself in a safer position they still would of had plenty of time to catch up afterwards
Well I think a black blag is too much, but that was a stupid divebomb, he was already doing the corner and you went full torpedo mode, props to him for avoiding contact
yeah the only reason they didn't collide on the apex was because the other guy went deep as well to avoid him and even span out as a result. Also looks like OP would be quite good on the brakes if he chose a normal braking point ;)
I was at a rental track that was an oval. Their rule was no passing on the inside in the turns. So I was following a slower kart thru the turn, and then turned under him on the straight. He was still at my RR wheel when getting to the next turn and he spun out with no contact at all. I was black flagged because I was on the inside of him. STUPID rules.
Went on some go karts at Scandia 25 years ago. Passed one person, no collision whatsoever. Guy flipped out like I destroyed all the karts and the entire track. No more go karts for me.
I am the district champion in children's go-karts On Slovak and I have about 7 cups at home, but I have not seen this yet, although a little more careful in the corners 😉
I don't think it was a black flag incident. The other guy came back on the track a bit unsafely. If you pause the video at 1:56 you can see he is fully off and he starts inching back. Yes you did lose the rear a bit but this was a racing incident at worse. ik im 7 years late lol
I can see where you're coming from there but if you watch the guy dived the kart in front, for all we know is the guy that went wide did it so he doesnt get hit. Because if he took the normal line he gets slammed into the side and overturned. I black flag on a regular when customer make a move like that and create contact. If it sticks no contact its fine but still pretty dangerous if you ask me especially on rental tracks.
So like at the 00:20 mark, this guy pretty much did the exact same thing as the guy he hit did. imagine if someone would have side swiped him at 00:20... sorry but this guy doesn't seem like he is in that much control. 01:08 wide again... (imagine side swipe)... then all over the shit of #69 several times... looks like he actually nudged him at least once or twice. then takes a turn too fast and wonders wtf happened... shoulda been further out... way too sharp of an attack.
Not correct. It's up to him to avoid any contact. He saw the guy going off and still went as fast and wide as possible and caused contact. No one in any race sports keeps pushing when a car in front of him goes off the track. You hit the breaks and try to avoid. No one in F1, Indy Car or any race car keeps pushing because it's dangerous.
man why black flag? I saw for yourself that you didn't do it expressly, I disagree with the black flag. Look in the formula 1 you get a time penalty with carting a black flag !! ?? I don't like it for you! but you still get a thumbs up from me
I don't see a rear end what I see is your back left tire drifting into him popping up over the cart causing you to spin to the right, and the rear end you state hits you and stop the right trajectory.
From what I see your all over the track which is a danger to everyone else, not only that they don't want there karts being damaged so yeah that's probably why
Its not a racing incident. You broke way to late and aimed at the corner as no one was there. You are considerably behind the guy in fornt, you know he is going to have to turn right soon so shooting your kart at the apex and hoping youll get around is dangerous driving. I think a 10 sec penalty or a call to to the pits would have been fine tho. Also, please wear protective gear, this make me anxious hahah

The Fact you got a black flag was probably because they were concerned for your safety and didn't want you to collide (And damage) Their karts. I also noticed you weren't wearing any suit or gloves as well as other drivers, I've also once been to a Karting track without wearing a suit or gloves!
Your engineer: We have a black flag, we have a black flag. You: For what? Your engineer: We are disqualified. You: FOR WHAT?! Your engineer: I don't know. 😁 If to say seriously, it's too unfair😔
Well, he did on numerous occasions leave little to no space leading to collisions and bumps, as well as dive-bombing into a corner knowing (if you know how to drive) full well you're going to end up hitting the driver coming out of that corner on the left side. Since you're going to overshoot the corner... It's like... What are you doing, and how do you expect to get away with that.... Also he supposedly already had a history for similarly reckless driving in the past and he made no adjustment and still kept behaving this way on the track. So not exactly unfair to me.
Maybe ... because you are extremely dangerous on track ?? Rules are not here for nothing , you clearly break it when you back hit the other in the corner ... And as i can ear at the end , it's not the first time you have a dangerous behavior on this track , so you have your answer. If it was the first time , yes it will be a severe decision to black flag you , but here , no , in addition of the fact you will ruin / damage their karts , you can hurt somebody. Kart is not just " pull the accelerator pedal at maximum and disconnect your brain without thinking of the others karts on the track " , you have to take attention of the situations in front of you , think and have a correct behavior. In pro / competition kart , you will be banned from any race if you do very dangerous things multiple times. I hope you grow up since this time.
You were flagged for almost flipping/breaking your necks, and the guy is worried about losing his business because of it...HTF does he run a training school without roll cages...?
Completely your fault. Hit in the rear 3 Cars like an idiot and divebombed without any chance from very far behind. The car in front had to avoid you because you were going like a torpedo against him. Without that evasive movement you would have hit him. Very poor racing, too much f1.
Wouldn't worry about it. Looking at the shocking quality of the track, karts. And none of you wearing any safety gear .. No wonder there rules and marshalling make no sense either
Caelan TSAG Even if it’s a track, there is still a lane to follow, in races drivers form a line to all take the fastest way around the track as well as profiting from the draft. However, the driver here doesn’t follow the racing line at all and thus can be dangerous
