Nice stores and great sales! I'd love an update on the thrips situation. I'd be scared to bring home anything rare or pricey after dealing with those nasty bugs. Just finished rehabbing 4 plants from thrips and it took 2 months with them in quarantine and constant monitoring 😓
I remember how much you liked that MIcans on the totem. I comment all the time that I can't imagine such selection and the Black Friday offerings had to be twice what you normally find. Amazing. It's always nice when your plant store remembers what you like and finds a way to make it happen. My plant guys are very good to me. One gifted me with two large bunches of hoyas a few weeks ago. He called to me as soon as I entered the building and marched me down to the greenhouse. I repaid in kind with a bunch of plants and cuttings from my house and he has them set up in a really nice display at the store. A little bird told me he's been wanting a starfish snake plant and mine is growing a baby right now that's going to live with him in Spring. He's my first planty friend who returns the favor. I love the potential of your new plant room.
My husband actually bought me the giant magnificum that was at cactus club on Black Friday!! He got me my dream plant🌿 so yayyyy cactus club for supplying us with these beauties!
I love how excited you get when you go to a plant shop. You just can’t contain yours. Just like me. Lol. Gloriosum is stunning. I have fairly common plants and all doing fine except dieffenbachia. May invest in one rarer plant this year because I deserve it. 🌿
@Susannah Walsh that happens to my dieffenbachia sometimes too. I was just thinking about this yesterday as I was looking at my rehabs. I bring them home looking lovely, then they loose leaves and die back, but I just keep babying them and they come back stronger and fuller than ever if you have the patience! Stick with it😄🌿✨🌱

omg i love micans. it grows so quick and im having fun seeing the new leaves unrolled. Im from malaysia n im shocked to see the prices. but it is understandable as it costs more to grow and maintain plants in seasonal countries especially if it is not local species. its summer all year round here. nice to see how plant friends from diff places manage in diff climate.

Have you guys ever heard of a molly bolt? That's what I call em. You drill a hole in the ceiling, put the bolt assembly up inside the ceiling and when you turn the screw it sends out these little legs off the bolt to keep it from pulling out of the ceiling. I've seen the type where they're used to hang a picture on sheetrock but I'm sure they also make them with a hook to hang a plant.
Fun to go shopping with you. You have wonderful plant opportunities in Charlotte. After the challenges of moving you deserve to treat yourself to a lovely birthday present! Also, you did a nice video with the iPhone. Quality and sound were perfect.

Such wonderful plant shops in Charlotte! I haven’t found any good ones in Houston. Their prices are not bad! I am glad you are showing us. At least we get to enjoy it virtually! Lol

The Monkey Puzzle can actually become a pretty big tree if you plant it in your garden in full soil, they even grow well in the dutch, chilly, wet climate of the Netherlands. It is no fun if it cuts you though.

Thanks for the tour since I'm not going out anymore. Your audio and video are just right level and speed. Those plants are beautiful but I cannot imagine spending over 100 bucks for a plant unless it was going to feed me for a month.

We went to PlantBar Saturday morning. I got a money tree and another plant I can’t remember the name. But I got the Mrs. Clay pot and am gonna go back for Mr. Clay when he comes in. 😁
Awesome Gloriosum!! I want to rescue your Hoya ❤️😉🌱. Is it a variegated Wayetii? I have a small one too, it is tricky to water because you have to let it dry out, but not too much! I let the top get a bit dry before I water it again and I have mine in a clay pot.
Congratulations on the BIG purchase! It’s a very good price. Btw, I have Calathea warscewiczii at home. I think it’s even easier than some other Calatheas. But it’s right not to buy the one in the video, because the shop put it under big light and leaves are burnt badly...they should put it under a shadow at least 😭those yellow stripes and dots are from too strong light.
Ashley, I think you're right- tiger fern is the name of a variegated boston :) one of my friends has one. I think you're audio and video were great given it was an Iphone! video wasn't shaky at all.
OH (gah sorry so many comments) Gloriosum are crawlers so make sure you bring the stem of the plant up out of the soil. You might want to repot it in a long/skinny pot because their growth habit is so funky. It's a beauty! Congrats! I think their growth really takes off once they get big like that. At least that's what it seems like from I Soiled My Planties giant Glori. Mine isn't as big as yours but it's a really great grower.
Glad to see you back! Hope your Thanksgiving was amazing. I need advice. We have a new kitty that will be neutered this week. He is CRAZY! I am considering no Christmas tree. I don’t want to wake up to it on the ground. What are your thoughts everyone. Tree or no tree? Milo does have the temperament to be a tree climber.
LOL, I totally hear you... it's Year 2 and still no tree, my two year old kitties (Mela & Kit) are SO naughty 🐈⬛🙀🐈⬛ I'm afraid too, to put up a Christmas tree yet. I put a small one on a table for now, until they get a little older and calm down a bit. Good luck whatever you decide 😉
