Girl these travel phlebotomists jobs paying $1500/wk ! I worked in a plasma center for 7 years, that was great advice ! You can learn a lot in a plasma center, you can get medical reception, lab processing, quality, training experience from ONE job. Great stepping stone

I completely agree. Negotiate your contracts., read your contract before signing. Never tell what you made prior to coming to that position. Learn , learn and learn. Work in a hospital, blood banks and PRN service. Watch and learn from people around you. There is good and bad in every aspect of healthcare. Strive to be the best. Make lateral moves until you can move up. With time and experience you may decide to become certified, which means higher pay.

Omg girl you are speaking the truth. I was like yess sis tell 'em, speed WILL come just take your time because that is the worse feeling in the world is when you've left behind a needle or even the tourniquet on the patient just because you were being pressured by your peers about how slow you are. I say this it's better to be slow, accurate, and proficient than to rush and make the patient feel as if they don't matter. I actually take my time with them I talk to them and that helps to keep them calm and you gain a good repor with that patient and that's important to me.

Hello! I can tell you are very experienced. Thanks for leaving this comment to let the viewers know speed is not accuracy. Being patient with the patients is what’s best. No one should feel pressured in health care! Thanks for the comment!

I’m currently a Behavioral Tech of 2 years & it’s starting to get boring on me and I’m ready to start something new until I finish my master’s (fall 2024). I really appreciate your kind advice. I am working at a plasma center and I am trying to get into a hospital but they seem to be on the fence about hiring people from a plasma center. I had a great interview once and they introduced me to everyone including the manager and the break room and then ghosted me even though I had 4 years experience at a plasma center. They just GHOSTED me😢

Well hopefully with 8 years of experience in blood draws only I receive $18 or better because I started out learning phlebotomy as a Patient Care Technician, later on I became a Medical Assistant and learned phlebotomy again but now I just want to become a phlebotomist/med lab tech and I need an actual phlebotomy technician certification for these jobs to see cause I want to be a traveling phlebotomist...I found a 3 month course with a special for $500 originally $800 before the year end...classes start January and I can't wait 💕...enjoyed your vids

Your pep talk was great! I’m currently a PCT in a hospital and I want to work in the lab. I’m just not sure where to start though. My city offers so many options for programs but I can’t tell whether they’re legit or not, so far I’ve been doing research on each program.

Loveeee the video! 💗 I’ll be starting my journey on the 20th until sept 1st. never thought I would be interested in phlebotomy. My career path has always been about dental (the college courses 🙄 couldn’t deal) but I’ve been curious & I also love getting my blood drawn 🤣 anyways girl PLEASE drop more vids ! But question tho, what do you do on your down time when they don’t need you for a patient? And how would you know when they need you, is there a buzzer or something you carry on you?

as a guy who is gonna be trying this kind of work this semester im trying to learn as much as I can to do well and pass the test whenever I do take it. Also given that I've been in and out of the hospital most of my life this line of work kinda just makes sense even if its something to fall back on in case what I genuinely would like to do doesn't work out for whatever reason
