I'm a southern raised person as well. I was talking to a 60 yo black male the other day. I asked him if he thought racial tensions were worse now, or in the 70s when he was growing up. He said they are definitely worse now.

Yes, with a faulty worldview comes faulty doctrines and applications. Rather than highlighting differences, we would do better by using a comprehensive teaching approach that accounts primarily -and solely- for learning difficulties (though I have thoughts on the extent that those should go). These DEI programs are divisive and seek to introduce or amplify prejudices, ideologies and biases that otherwise probably would not have been there.. It can only be racist if their skin colour is different than your own. If the person of the Right's views are at all visible (e.g., something on a t-shirt or hat, holding an American flag, etc), the Left group will immediately become confrontational, often very agressive and belligerent, if not violent. It's usually "instant attack mode." Then, look at videos in which the opposite happens (someone from the Left engages with a group on the Right in a peaceful manner). They do not receive similar treatment and are often engaged by conversation rather than confrontation If they are peaceful and clearly open to a discussion, they are often welcomed. I'm sure there are exceptions to both examples, but it's pretty amazing. The group of "tolerance and inclusion" is anything but those two things. Wake up. Nobody is saying it's as bad as the 1950s, however people are acknowledging that systemic and institutional racism still exists. Him being an immigrant frees him from the historical baggage that black Americans (ADOS) have to deal with. Black people live in the the worst areas, deal with toxins, failing schools, get rejected for loans at a higher rate, entrepreneurs get less money compared to whites, are generally poorer than white and so much more. This can also be seen with native Americans. There are many studies acknowledging this and experiences from black people.
