AFI is one of my favorites, and I love every album. Miss Murder was my introduction to them too, but back in 2006 an I been hooked ever since... Welcome to the Despair Faction, lol 👐
My favorite of their albums was Sing The Sorrow but I started listening with either The Art of Drowning or Black Sails, back in 2000, when I was in middle school. I remember this album came out 4 days before my birthday in 2006, but it was probably my least favorite of their albums.
Yes, they are still a band and this song was released in 2006. First single from the record. I remember when this song debuted on TRL. I was so stoked catching its release. Been a fan since 2003. They've been a band since 91.
This song actually came out in 2006. I love AFI and used to listen to this album everyday when it first dropped. In my opinion it was very well put together. So many memories tied to this song and full album.
Should react to The Leaving Song PT. 2. Sing the Sorrow was their "mainstream" album because of the major label and better production, but it's stellar, dark & gritty. The whole album is amazing.
As someone who can scream, I’ll say this for anyone trying to learn. If you can feel it in your throat and it starts getting sore, you’re not doing it right. Janice Joplin fucked her voice up from doing it that way. It’s gotta come from your diaphragm, not your throat. Also you should react to Final Episode(Let’s Change The Channel) by Asking Alexandria.
There is a s6 episode of Smallville that used this song at the end of the episode. Lex is wanling down the hall and has the metor infected people locked up in cells experimenting on them and he walks down the hall with them reaching out the to him and this song plays. It's one of my favorite ending to an episode of tv.
This is one of the only bands that have made several changes to they’re music and are still relevant with a hardcore fan base till this day . U should go deeper down there time line wouldn’t be surprised If u find more to like
Just a note on what y’all said about the screaming. Vocalists that scream usually train their voices so they have a method of screaming that doesn’t hurt. You kind of have to have some training or understanding of vocals to do scream vocals without it hurting. It is really bad for your voice otherwise. But yeah this song is such a classic to me. I was definitely one of those emo kids.. I was in middle school when this came out But yeah afi is a long running band still going Theres a side project called Blaqk Audio, I don’t like their last 2 albums as much but they’ve done some pretty cool electronic music. No idea if that’s up ur alley but worth checking out maybe for something different.
I have been listening to AFI since about 1997 when their second and my favorite album, Very Proud Of Ya, came out. They are a very Original band and have progressed with every album. No two albums really sound the same and if you listened to the first one and the last one back to back, you would not be able to tell it was actually the.same band. Here is a brief explanation of each album in order:: AFI (Aka A Fire Inside; Anthems For Insubordinates; Another Fucking Idiot): Davey Havoc - Vocals (ATASF - Present) Jade Puget - Guitar (BSITS - Present) Hunter Burgan - Bass (SYMAOYE - Present) Adam Carson (ATASF - Present) Past Members: Mark Stopholese - Guitar (ATASF-SYMAOYE) Geoff Kresge - Bass (ATASF - VPOY) Unofficial Members: Nick 13 (Vocals/Guitar for Tiger Army) Back Up Vocals (ATASF - Present) Answer That And Stay Fashionable - Melodic Punk Rock (Stand Out Track - Your Name Here) Very Proud Of Ya - Melodic Hardcore Punk/Skate Punk (SOT - This Secret Ninja) Shut Your Mouth And Open Your Eyes - Melodic Hardcore Punk/Hardcore Punk (SOT - The New Patron Saints And Angels) 3 1/2 EP - Melodic Hardcore Punk/Hardcore Punk (This is where they started to get a little Darker and progress towards the sound you would hear on later albums) (SOT - The Hanging Garden (The Cure cover) Black Sails In The Sunset - Melodic Hardcore Punk/Hardcore Punk/Goth Punk (SOT - The Last Kiss) All Hallows EP - See the above explanation for BSITS (This was the first release to gain them radio exposure with the song Total immortal) (SOT - The Boy Who Destroyed The World) The Art Of Drowning - See above explanations of BSITS and All Hallows (This album had one radio hit with The Days Of The Phoenix) (SOT - Of Greetings And Goodbyes) Sing The Sorrow - Melodic Hardcore Punk/Goth Rock/Goth Punk/Alternative Rock/Emo/Rock (Their Breakthrough album with many Radio hits and their first album to be on a Major Label (Dreamworks) after spending their entire careers on Indie Punk label Nitro Records (Owned by The Offspring lead singer, Dexter Holland) (SOT - This Celluloid Dream) Decemberunderground - Melodic Hardcore/Alternative Rock/Emo/Rock/Goth Rock (Personally, my least favorite album but none of their albums are bad. This one just kept pushing them towards Superstardom. My little Punk Rock secret was no longer my little Punk Rock secret. Lol) (SOT - Love Like Winter) Crash Love - Melodic Hardcore/Alternative Rock/Rock/Emo (A return to greatness and surprisingly in my top 5 albums of theirs) (SOT - Cold Hands) Burials - Melodic Rock/Alternative Rock/Emo (The first of two albums that were pretty lackluster but the more I listen to this one, the more I like it. The first album to get away from Hardcore and Punk Rock all together, although they abandoned the Punk Rock mostly on STS) (SOT - I Hope You Suffer. The one song to have that trademark AFI HC screaming) The Blood Album - Alternative Rock (They even shed their newer AFI trademark Emo) (SOT - White Offerings) The Missing Man EP - ? (This album confuses me and I have no idea what I would even classify this as. The only album that makes me yearn for that classic AFI sound whether it be the Nitro years or the Dreamworks years (STS - Crash Love) Hope this helped. E-Mail me at lastbeliever84@gmail.com if you're down to chat. I actually have some suggestions and requests on what I would like you guys to review. Great job, fellas! Keep it up!
I have always been a huge Fan of the band and they came out when I was born 33 years ago in 1991 and I have always been a fan of the AFI Davey havoc is an awesome vocalist... If you think this sound goes hard , listen to affliction , and if you really want to listen to them , YOU NEED TO HEAR they're 2003 album , it's the best ONE HAND'S DOWN
I remember doing a crap tons of chores in high school to get this album then I spent months just blasting this album. AFI became my favorite band back in 2003 when I discovered them via Girl's Not Grey. I fell in love with them and have been a huge fan since. I've met them all and they're super nice guys. My husband agrees that he's just so damn pretty. In person, he's amazingly gorgeous. And, nice. I love seeing them live. Their music is just so unique and fun. Everyone is talented and thus I just couldn't help loving them. I love your guy's reaction. Great job with this video. It's great seeing others get into AFI. I remember seeing the live premiere of this. It was so different from their previous album. Everything they do is just different but awesome. I hope to see more cool vids from you guys. :)
I enjoyed this video! It's always fun seeing people react to AFI. More AFI please! Check out "Medicate" next since that's the next album after the one that had "Miss Murder". Then after that, if you're still interested, check "I Hope You Suffer". Next up would need to be "Snow Cats". Ps: they have a new album coming out soon so there's videos for that one as well. They keep doing it 🔥🤘💯🎵
This album (Decemberunderground) came out in *2006, but I'm not sure when the extended video for Miss Murder came out. My all time favorite band. They have a unique sound that changes with every album. Check out more of their stuff! 😁
Sure! It's hard for me to pick some *really* good ones, because I love almost everything they have put out, but The Missing Frame, I Hope You Suffer, Girls Not Grey, Totalimmortal, Love Like Winter, the Sinking Night, Pink Eyes. I could go on and on, but those are definitely a few of my faves from multiple albums. Some with videos, some just tracks. I look forward to seeing which one(s) you choose! 😊
No this song came out in two thousand and six I know because I went to warp tour... I was a junior when I came out and I graduated One year later in 07 ànd I was a little emo freak
Tears Don’t Fall by Bullet For My Valentine. The song came out 2005 and is a Metalcore classic 👍🏿 Also react to Creep by Stone Temple Pilots, The best Grunge band in my opinion
@#BuffChub You won't be disappointed. I will give warning- The "Rabbit Hole" is extremely deep and probably Life changing (in a good way). Some of the finest 👂🍬 around. (But Tool is still #1 on my list)
I love this band and this song but you didn't hear it because you talked through the whole thing. Btw, Jade the guitarist with the blonde streak was the guitarist you kept referring to
I loved old AFI, and with this song, really loved the intro and screaming parts, but can't really stand the "emo" sound they moved to after their first few albums. "Black Sails to the Sunset" is pretty much an immaculate album from start to finish.
You poor soul have no idea the difference in genres. Grunge? Nothing about his scream is grunge. I love AFI. I also love Grunge. Two completely different genre and sounds.
watch a lot of reacters and you guys talk WAY too much. Talked right through the intro without bothering to even listen. Bit of advice, split up when you talk so as not to ruin the experience for viewers. You guys got potential but right now I can't give a like nor a sub
