This machine actually got me in trouble with my mother once. I'd been sent to the corner store to get things so that she could make dinner, and on my way out I decided to play a quick game. Turns out I spent close to fifteen minutes on that single quarter- far, FAR better than I usually did. Mom was less than impressed with my story of pinball domination.
One of the greatest pinball machines of all time. I remember when a group of my buddies saw that the first time and heard about the Magna Save! Plus the classic Williams sound effects did not disappoint. It was like Firepower on steroids.
One of the easiest machines to play back in the day... when we were skint we'd go on Black Knight because you'd be on there for ages... a blast from the past!
My grandpa had this game, Eldorado the city of gold and two dime bingo machines he fixed pinball machines in his prime, when He passed away the pinball machines were inherited to me and black knight was inherited to my cousin before a lot of things happened in his life where he couldn't take it with him/keep it so me and my parents kept it for him. Sadly as time went on the pinball machines started getting wear and tear that required repair and my parents couldn't afford to fix them so sadly we had to sell them to a person who collected and fixed/sold pinball machines ,where ever you are now Black knight, and Eldorado I hope your repaired and being played and bringing joy to those who are playing you.
*Odd, at the **6:15** mark the player sent the ball through the left ramp when the EXTRA BALL was lit and wasn't awarded the extra ball. That gets lit when you drop both sets of upper drop targets 3x and EXTRA BALL lights and by sending the ball through the left ramp you can see the light go out but the game died after he lost the 3 ball multi-ball.*
My friends and I spent many hours playing this game in our local bar, and in 1987 I even bought one for two hundred bucks! I can still play this game on line! It turns out that several years ago I paid for it on the "Pinball Arcade" website! - It was "grandfathered" over to me after they eliminated all Williams games. But there's no way to activate the Magna-save on my desk top.
Think this is Karl playing here; very well done sir. This looks like it has a new PF and plastics and its playing in great condition. Sadly Its gone now, I wonder what happened to this incredible BK. Thanks for the vid. -Mitch
Well done, massive ball 3. Flippers might need to be rebuilt, the right cant hit the left ramp; or maybe its from the coil getting hot and losing some power. -Mitch
For the era it was released in. It's pretty loaded compaired to the other early SS machines that were still using EM playfield layouts. Gorgar is pretty popular but it's essentially a dressed up EM with sound clips.
