Bummer, Flying Black Locust. They’re very tough so I expect it will be fine. The railing is looking awesome. I see more trees than sticks now. Thanks, keep growing
I hard prune these thorny bastards frequently so it should be fine. I wish I could have pruned the whole thing so right now its just going to be fugly...until Spring atleast. Lol. Cheers 😎🍺🍺
There’s a 30 foot tall one in my garden that has similar branches hanging off after some strong winds! Had to block my car park and waiting for someone to come cut the hanging branches. Managed to pull some seeds pods so looking forward to growing one myself!
Sure wouldn't want to be under that locust when it fell - yikes - those thorns are nasty! They're pretty tough trees - nature may have added some interesting character to the composition. Fingers crossed for some growth still this season.
Hey Sue!!! These Locusts are wild growers. I gave them a hard pruning not too long ago. I hope you are right...but we are already low 40s at night. 🙄🙄🙄...cheers my friend 😎🍺🍺
