LSV used to really not like show, and I thought he had cooled on citadel until this most recent cube cycle. I think he was right on both.

It was okay, I was fine losing to LSV having epic draws. Mostly my t3 Thorsten would get there, not this time. I expected a counter there anyway just not drain and I didnt think I could play around it because seeing how hard this deck goes off I couldnt get there with a scooze and giver. If I had perfect info I guess I could wait out the counter. Also now I can see he was really enjoying himself so thats cool. Was looking forward to this video.

I usually let streamers have their content. Considering how many vintage content LSV is putting out I was looking forward to the video. Getting beat like that by a player like this is fine by me.

Here's to learning that Kinnan with Basalt (infinite mana) and Walking Ballista doesn't actually translate into a win if you can't click 1,000 times in about six minutes and your opponent doesn't concede.

Cool to have another cube convert on MTGO! $10 is only steep if you aren’t winning. If you can go at least 2-1 on average, your $10 goes a long way.

I agree, I was waiting for that to come back. Maybe someone had LED? Is there anything else in the cube that combos with it (other than cards that LSV had)?

@@dementievatz that and/or the zirda/kinnan/lotus petal storm combo.... and I guess a mono-white drafter could've just 50/50'd it over leyline binding (they'd want neither and it was too late for sacred foundry to be an option if they didn't already have a red splash.)

It's good to know your group's tendencies, and look for combos. If you pass a Brain Freeze for example, be aware what direction you passed it and what players might take it. That'll inform you on how important hating the Underworld Breach or Lions Eye etc. Lots of similar power combos in cube, depends on what you guys are playing with. I think in general it's more important for you to have a good deck than it is to hose your opponents, as you'll only play that card you might hate once, it might not be playable for anyone, and it could beat your opponents also. But, if you keep track of what is going around the table, and there's not a clear pick for you in the pack, hating can be the right call.

Thankfully not nearly as bad as in the 3v3 or 4v4 hahaha
