[Black MIDI] - Fractal Images | 1 Million Notes | TSMB2

After watching fractal zoom videos, and videos about the Mandelbrot Set, i felt inspired to create a Black MIDI about it. This is my interpretation of if a fractal image was somehow converted into a .mid file. FLstudio's render gave out at the very end LOL! I'd say this one is pretty good. Hope you enjoy!
There's a melody in this song that is from another midi i've made in the past. Try to guess what midi it's from

Just one note- if a fractal was made into music the song would be limitless. Hm. Maybe someone could devise a program that would just endlessly use a fractal or fractal calculation to generate notes and play them. Pointless? Yes. But also rather intriguing.

+Kirbyfan 2015 Probably not, but maybe. Fractals exhibit self-similarity, so it could just play the same melody over and over, with different pitch and tempo. Using digots of pi could work.

John Cage experimented with fractal phrasing, but only in terms of bar length. If you get the sheet music for Sonatas And Preludes For Prepared Piano, and stare really hard at it, you can see the fractals in effect

Automated Miner we don't know if it could work with pi yet, as we didn't prove yet that pi was universal. however, champernowne's constant could work. :D

Next time have each note play at 100% volume. Using 0-1% to make shapes is cheating.

It's the standard. setting every single note to max volume would make the entire MIDI just sound like white noise. Setting the volume of the note shapes to very low will allow the melodic phrases to come though, which is what people would much rather want to hear than white noise anyways.
