Not sure if it's just me, but for now this game is the most beautifully designed in terms of graphics and effects in my opinion. Those guys seems to work very hard. I hope they will get the acknowledge they deserve after the final release of the game, if they keep it as we can see it right now and the story could be interesting one. Because I really want to play something different finally. Even if it's probably another action role-play game. Really excited!

Many of the settings are very Chinese, and many monsters are based on the novels. And many of Wukong's skills and moves restore the novel. What pleases me most is the creation of the game atmosphere and the description of the background of each monster in the pause menu. They have created wonderful poems and Chinese style pictures. The description of each monster story is also very vivid. As a Chinese, I am very happy and moved. The production team must have made a lot of efforts.

Minor detail with a big impact: running and walking has the same animation with different speed, which looks and feels very off. They should make a walking animation for slower movement because it looks unnatural when the character makes big steps and leans forward but moves so slow.

One thing that’s great about this game taking its time to come out is it actually looks as good as the promotional vid all those years back and not downgraded to hell and back to rush out

Finally some freshness in the video game industry. This literally looks like the best new gen game to come for the next years. So many expectations about this one. It seems to have the gameplay, the lore (hopefully the work that point), the artistic direction, the graphics... So tired of pointless open worlds, remakes and recycled games..

I appreciate how they justified the i-frames of the perfect dodge by showing the character transport himself out of danger. In many similar games, you roll and it's like the enemy's massive hammer just inexplicably goes harmlessly right through your character, and it just feels very video-gamey and always takes me out of the moment. I think BOTW handled perfect dodges well using slow-motion, and I think this game handles it even better. Yes, the visuals are stunning too, but it's subtle details like that that have really impressed me in the gameplay footage I've watched and give me hope that this will not just be a fun game, but also an immersive piece of storytelling.

Finally, more in-game UI and item interaction! Another transformation as well!

Including shape-shifting is a good concept, and the character's transformations are smooth. The combat style and Staff as a weapon add on for liking the game even more.

Everything looks great. I just hope there's an option to disable the pickup animation for items because that would get annoying really fast for how slow the animation is. Especially if you're picking up so many different items all the time.

This game visually has been amazing to look at since the first reveal. The only thing I feel needs work is the weight of the attacks. The attacks should have a lot of force behind them and make solid contact. Besides that beautiful game hats off to the developers.

The environment is gorgeous... but the fighting mechanics and logic still need some work. For example, you won't want Wukong's stick to pass through the enemy every time when he's hitting them. And hitting different parts of the body, or the environment, should result in different sound effect. I felt like I kept hearing the same set of sounds during all fights. And after hitting parts of the body, it should leave marks

Everytime I see any Wukong videos, my day instantly becomes more energetic

the Chinese fantasy art style in this game is amazing

God im so excited for this game. We are overindulged in fantasy stories ALWAYS involving European folklore or a European backdrop, so it's super refreshing for western audiences to enjoy stories of Chinese and broader eastern mythology! In terms of how the game looks, the graphics look so stunning, but the walking animation looks kind of janky compared to past showcases. His walking looks like slow-mow running. I'm so optimistic about this game and can't wait to get my hands on it!

As a Chinese, I'm super proud of the game and fond of journey to the west. The monsters all have introduction and I can say the introduction to thoses monsters is interesting and shows some ancient Chinese wisdom, especially the 山匪头子. And I think the background lines are about Buddhism yet as a Chinese I still can't figure out the Chinese lines, hoping someone can make it out.

I think for this game I will definitely upgrade my pc spending couple of thousand. I am really excited for this one

In the menu on the right side you can see his health (white), mana or ki (blue) and stamina (brown) values. Under that is atk value (small pole like icon) and under that defence value (shield like icon). Values under that are in % but i dont know what they are. On the left you can see his equipment and head slot is empty. This tells me that stats and armours etc are a thing which is great.
