It’s pretty linear for the most part (even if multiple paths are available they often lead to the same place or loop around). If you’re looking for a map though, people have put them online in a by chapter format (really as mods for PC) but you can check out the still image and get a sense of where you’ve been and what’s left if you have been having issues getting oriented.
For MIND CORES, you can only get two for awhile. After you get your first 2 (usually within 5-15 minutes), close the game and restart it. Then you will be able to get 2 more. Close game and repeat. Otherwise you will get 2 mind cores and nothing for a long time.
@@francosaputra9041 It can take 5-15 minutes. I can do snake trail in 1 min 15 seconds (includes reloading time). I even got 2 mind cores within 5 minutes (4 runs of 4 snakes, so 16 kills) But usually it can take 8-15 runs of snakes to get 2 cores. Same with rockrest flat....Sometimes I get 1st mindcore on 1st run or within the first 3 runs, and second one after 10 runs or 15 runs...Now I just restart the game after 1-2 hours of playing so I can get mind cores as I progress through story
Tip: 1)Buy Goldflora Hairpin (Man-In-Stone Quest). 2)Rockrest Flat Shrine: Head upstairs, kill enemy. 3)Turn around, go down stairs, kill enemy with shield. 4)Kill third enemy, use Talisman to return to shrine. Loop takes a minute/minute and a half. 5)If you get a mind core, travel to any another Shrine (Front Hills is the first in the list). 6)Return to Rockrest Flat Shrine, repeat. Forget about Snake Trail. It's obsolete once you get to Rockrest Flat.
When farming xp ( will ) try equipping the folk opera armour set and goldflora hairpin it increases the amount of will gained from killing enemies it should speed up the amount of sparks per hour probably not a great amount but better with it equipped
I made the same wrong assumption until I got to a shop and realized will was the currency to buy stuff. Then I looked at the opera armor. Oh, it is increased will. Ugh! I thought I was getting extra XP. And I thought the game was calling XP "will" early on. I guess extra money is good. But, I was hoping to level up faster.
Nah the mushrooms come back after a while, i fddl like they have a 30 minute timer so people dont losd up on material and craft thousands of tiger pellets
Pro ti: if you use the entire folk opera armor with the mask plus the Goldflora hair pin the enemies at 5:07 will drop between 400 and 465 will depending on shield or no shield standard enemies will give you between 100 to 250 will depending on type.
Thank you, not only for the good info, but also for keeping this early stages and showing the chapter in the thumbnail. So hard to find tips vids which don't have a ton of spoilers!!!! Really appreciate this one :)
There's no way you're getting 30 or even 20+ sparks per hour. In a hour I got only 5 plus 2 mind cores. And I'm level 55. My attacks are killing the "snake men" quite fast. Unless I'm doing something wrong, I'm not getting close to 20 or 30 sparks are hour. I'm barely getting 5.
Best xp/will farming I’ve seen so far gets you between 2600-3200 per 25-30 seconds, depending on how much will per enemy you’re getting. Chapter 4 - Pool of shattered jade shrine. Just explode on the websacs with the transformation and rest at the shrine + repeat. EDIT: With the speed boost from the pilgrim set, the time from shrine to enemies and back to shrine can be cut down to about 18-20 seconds depending on how fast u can do it… you can probably make it even faster.
The pickups do respawn, i went back to chapter 1 after reached chapter2 and the plants are there, i think u have to switch chapters to those respawn, not just rest.
The shield dudes in chapter 2 are 100% better, you don't even have to hit their shield if you do it properly. Takes like 10 seconds for 1 for 275 will.
The big shield guys can be killed near instantly by just freezing them in time then using the blue monk spirit attack from the back to delete 90% of their hp and also it knocks them down for the finishing blow.
If your in the webbed hollow in chapter 4 go to the pool of shattered jade and use the ashen slumber transformation go in the middle of all the vacoons to the right of the shrine use the transformation then use the fiery burst where you self destruct you should kill every cacoon and get around 3k will every time and a lot of xp it takes around 5 seconds every times to do it then just use the incense trail talisman to teleport back to the shrine and do it again
Also plants respawn in 30 min ...you can exit to title screen and change your pc or console time likean hour or 2 and when you load back in your game they should be back
Best xp farm is the temple in chapter 3 passed the snow area most enemies give 300 plus and if your not bad there's over 20 enemies and you can get alot of xp before resting at level 45 i got 3 skill points
Wait, the tiger is the last boss of the chapter? I got to him after the frog, which was the start wasn't it? I got to a door guarded by a bunch of arrow guys on the roof of the door. Had no idea how to open it so I went another way and then the tiger was the first boss I found. Took me 45 min to beat him, but I had no idea he was the final boss lol. Did I miss anything big due to beatinf him early
@@Solomonlike i mean sure but alot of it isnt to and u get a decent health/stamina/crit dmg boost and spells do 2/3x the damage/duration. no matter what u are way to overleveled at lv 105 when that is supposed to be a chapter 5 character lol
@@itzwael9279Some of us aren’t great at games, and being over leveled can be a huge boost in enjoyment. Not everyone enjoys things the same way you do.
Okay so this video is filled with a lot of misinformation. Items on the ground do respawn. I’m not sure if it’s random or on a timer, but those materials do respawn. Next, Will is just the currency. XP is separate. Usually the Will and XP will be similar, but not always. The enemies in the mindcore farm area drop both more will and XP than stated as well.
I think a faster Farm is the shrine at windrest hamlet. There is one of those shield dudes and two zombies on the Bridge. Just rush there use rock solid when he attacks and his shield is gone, immobilize and headbash with the big head dude. If you stand in the correct spot so three are one Hit and give 360xp. Go back to shrine, Rest and repeat Fels faster than the snakes
Herbs do show up back on the map, I think it just takes a couple rests. Like 100% sure. I saw one reappear in a clear spot once, that I already have taken it
although they may not respawn immediately or in the exact same place, the flora respawns to some extent because whenever i am low on jade lotus i go back to the same to water areas in chapter one to grab a few.
You can get mind cores without having to switch back and forth. Ive gotten two in a single run. Ive also gotten 2 in 5 runs. If you can kill in chapter 2 easily its better exp. Especially with the rock creatures.
A great tip for killing the shield dudes: When they first charge at you, they'll use a shield bash move. -Pary it with the Stone body spell you get from the Tiger and boom shield gone in 1 second.
Yeah. I made the same misconception as the guy in the video early on in the game. I assumed the extra "Will" from that armor meant I would level up faster. Once I had enough will to buy something the game finally told me that I buy crap with will. *facepalm Well I can at least use the extra Will. You have to buy upgrades for the big head guy transformation. The one that head butts the enemy and you change right back. Also, the frog and the masked poison guy. I would have preferred an armor that increases XP significantly. Like, at least 30%. I already hit the first boss I just can't beat. So, I need to do this XP farming, too! The guy who has a 2nd phase where his bottom half becomes a snake body. Someone called it another easy boss. And said the big head optional boss is "super hard." But for me, the big head boss you get the head bonk transformation attack from, was a piece of cake compared to the snake guy. (Snake guy boss just before ringing the 3rd bell according to a guide I looked up for how to beat snake ass.)
ive been contemplating doing a chapter 4 grind for exp...expessially since i just beat every boss from chapter11-4[even Yellow Loong....hella hard] and im lvl 82....i probably will benefit from the mind cores tho...without grinding i got all but the ele, ental resistance ones done
Yoyoyo, I found a better sport for mind cores. First, yull need act 4, then the waypoint Cliff of Oblivion. Once there if you turn around yull see a cliff that leads back down. Just drop off it and take the damage. Then, kill the 3 main larva/worm enemies while working your way back to the way point. Then rinse and repeat. The drop rate on these worms is incredible. Iv very rarely not had 1 mind core per run and iv had 1 per each worm. So it definitely levels out to being the fastest mind core farm by far that iv found. It's also great Xp also there's a snake head mushroom on the path that can yeald A monkey head fungus. And you also get withered silkworms.
That’s funny I was just farming the rockrest shrine bonespear guys this morning and was getting mind cores. Found this video in my yt feed and you’re already on it 😂 good to know about the snake guys though I didn’t know they could drop them too. I’m high enough level now that even if they poison me I can beat all 4 without having to heal once lol
Hello guys, when u are doing this you fan put the primium set that give you more will for enemi kill and the item on the grouth that give you more will for enemi kill, and when u kill this monsters on chapt 2 they will give u 400 will.
Folk opera set and the item name is goldflora hairpin, and the golden carp, and the celestial Registry tablet, all this items will just help you alot wild doing this.
There is a better farm in the webbed hollow, pool of shattered jade rest point, there is a small cave with a bunch of cocoons hanging from the ceiling, using the ashen slumber transformation found in chpt 3, you can change then detransform causing an explosion granting you 2500 exp per 30 seconds, which is 300000 exp per hour
There are seeds that state if we can find someone to grow them we can cultivate materials ourselves. I am still in Chapter 2 so I don't know when that becomes a thing.
This grinding method for sparks takes way too long once you reach chapter 4 and get to the Saturday pool use the ashen slumber transformation and use l2 and circle if you're on PlayStation to blow up and that's it 30 seconds
@@tetra6553 definitely skill issue. game isn't that hard honestly. if you do all the side quests and everything the game is naturally just moderately challenging
@@kratos97261 nah. it's cake. you just aren't utilizing what the game offers most likely. do all side quests and areas and every main boss etc is pretty cake.
The part about Mind Cores drop is limited and requires changing locations is BS. I got 2 Mind Cores in 3 kills of Bonespears in chapter 3. Thing is the drop chance is low so it feels like cores do not drop but RNG/luck can be weird.
They respawn all u have to do is fast travel to a different chapter and then fast travel back to the chapter u we’re at and the plants respawn I know they do because I’ve picked the same plants over and over and even the mimic plants also respawn
Mind cores not respawning? I’ve been at it for about 45 mins….got one at snake trail, went to fight shield enemies at other location, got another….Went back to snake trail & haven’t gotten a mind core since.
@@nib95Seriously. I think there's a limit cap. I got 2 within 15 mins then nothing for the next 45 minutes so I gave up. Something similar happened yesterday, I feel like there might be a hidden timer for them...
Not really a farming area. Just playing the area over and over if you're struggling to progress. The BEST farm isn't even close to being available if you're still in chapter 1-2. If not, just keep playing and learning how to play is THE BEST at this early point of the game.
keep killing the 2 horsemen at rock rest flat until you get a core. Also grab a round of plants (they respawn every 30 min). Then fast travel to snake path. Only kill the 2 living snakemen and grab all the plants in the area. Keep killing the snakemen till you get a core. Repeat. I’m thinking sticking to a specific enemy helps the drop rate. I have maxed out health and defense so far. The drop rate has decreased as I got more cores it seems. I hope this helps. Fastest way to farm money, xp, cores and plants before chapter 3.
So far in 30 minutes of doing this I got 2 mind cores so there definitely a low drop chance but I'm going to farm for a few hours and see how many I get. I also need to farm for sparks to unlock more skills
In that sand area I loop around that area clock wise starting on the left ending on spit shooter, using all abilities on the 3 tanky guys to kill them fast and I can do the entire loop in roughly two minutes on average.
In chapter 2 the area before the stone boss is a very good farming spot 3 stone head and 3 wolf monster (the wolf give around 200 and the stone head give around 160)
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Just use the GOLDEN CARP curio my guy. I've been getting like 10 every half hr. There are 4 enemies(ONE RIGHT BEHIND YOU WHEN YOU RESPAWN) in that immediate area(ROCK FLAT) u can kill that will drop the cores and allot of the time I've gotten 2 or 3 in one run!!! Don't have to shut anything down you just have to know wtf your talking about!!! Plus equip the extra xp curio forgot whats it called!!!
You spoiled following the farm by super speeding the playback speed. I can't follow that. And no, I don't want to change the playback speed in my browser setting. It's not the same as normal speed.
There is a vendor in chapter 2 that sells a curio that increases the will gain. Later in the game there is also a curio that increases xp gain, but I forgot how to get it. I just tested it. The snakes give 190 with the curio and a triple charged heavy attack with the chitin staff one hits them.
@1:55 what did you say? "Unlock things early in the game thingssdoushouldahav soagain"??? lol Bro, I watch a lot of your videos man. I been watching you for a min, did a lot of builds in Diablo IV since launch because of you. Matter of fact, let me subscribe right quick. Didn't realize I never have. And I really appreciate you taking the time out to come out with content on the regular, giving tips to ALL MANNER of games. But bro, SLOW down fam! lol You talk so fast that you slur your words, bunch them together and won't be making any type of intelligible sense.🤣 Just some friendly advice from human being to another. Next time you make a video, play back your audio. If those sentences in certain parts sounds like mashed potatoes and gravy being thrown into the microphone, RERECORD IT! LMFAOOOO Much luv to you.😂👍
anyone know if there is a level cap? Have not done any farming at all but I have the assumption that 99 is the cap based on nothing, really hope someone is like level 120 already or something to let me know that my assumption is incorrect
I'm going to farm this for the rest of the day and the entire day tomorrow so I can have much more health, defense, mana, and stamina to beat the Wise Voice Captain.
