A lot of people are getting all bent about chapter 3 not being "early" in the game which is hilarious. By the time you complete chapter 3 you realize 1 and 2 were jokes and prologues. The shrines are chapter based from what I noticed yesterday (chaps 1-4).
Calling em parries is generous lol Needs to be: - mid combo - perfectly timed - and has a gauge built up I desperately wish they had just added a block or parry option given we SEE him do one in a cutscene at the very start of the game.
Agreed, it’s very peculiar there isn’t a standard parry, and it would be nice to have. I get so many camera issues from constantly dodging around in combat.
Better learn to time rock solid right I b Perrying my ass off but happy it's not really n the game he's a damn money evading can't plz er body these days
A couple of things I would like to mention for everyone to watch out for as it happened for me. Spoilers(If you don't want to be slightly spoiled then don't read this) During Chapter 3 after you end up on the North Lake, make sure to first go right towards the big snake skeleton so you can trigger a boss fight. If you explore the northern area first, your pig companion will leave you and you won't be able to spawn the boss afterwards. During Chapter 4 after you reach the secret area, do NOT kill Duskveil before killing the Scorpionlord and Daoist Mi. If you do that then you won't be able to fight them afterwards. As for their locations, Scorpionlord is located on the right path of the area, while Daoist Mi is located a few clicks before Duskveil itself. Regarding Daoist Mi's questline, while I wasn't able to do it because I thought it had something to do with Duskveil, I think you just have to farm the normal mobs until they drop a specific key item.(Not too sure on that, I only found one mention of it online as of 22 of August, would like some clarification if someone else did it.)
For the Daoist Mi quest, there should be two yaogui standing right opposite where Daoist Mi is. Kill them and one of them should drop and item (I think it's called "Hidden Veil" but I am not sure). Give that item to Daoist Mi and it'll trigger a boss fight.
Would also like to add sometimes depending on which transformation you use. Your focus points can be transferred over. Like ebon flow for instance. You keep all of your focus as the destine one, and use the transformation into yin tiger, he’ll then have all of the focus you gain as the destine one.
Funny note about Zodiac Village- The NPCs there are still in original places except for Loong. When you go request medicines from Xu Dog you can ALSO go to the Cellar location and do it again :)
I've asked a few times if we'll be seeing the full experience like we did SotE, and my meaning would be that, after you finish the initial playthrough, if you'll continue to show us the things you find in your replay, like the stone vanguard boss you found and (at least so far) don't seem to have found thus far so presumably discovered in your replay/new game plus, before you go back to finishing your MH Stories play/anime watching
@@escaaaaaa893 You get two from Act2 Loong fight. One from the Boar quest and then you can buy another from the Secret Area Store at the shrine (for some reason thats a special shop) I think its the last boss in the secret area that gives it but Im not 100% sure, could be one of the chests in there aswell. I know I entered the area with 2 and bought one and then when I had completed the full area I had 4.
@@Saint17kyep and after you have the option to fight him again so I'm going to try that maybe you get a fourth he also has a armour set for beating him that make the stone body spell way better
I like the second rat prince spirit, it give damage yhe lower hp u have and the active is a leapsmash that deald damage and stager +shockave when upgraded
Are you sure the "see through" state in Thrust Stance is the same as the "see through" state in Smash Stance? There's a staff that has focus bonus for "see through", I m wondering if it also works with Thrust Stance.
My mistake was i didn't leave the wandering big blue boss at the start until i beat him. .... maybe look about and do the other bosses. After a few hours on him, i one shot the next two bosses but just run into a frog boss which was so close. The game is great.
I’m stubborn as hell, trying to see how far I can go in the game using only smash stance 😂 so far I made it to chapter 3 without a single point invested in thrust or pillar so far 🤷🏻♂️
i am on chapter 6 with no pillar or thrust either, also using only immob and cloud, nothing invested in any of the rest...p.s only came to look at 2 bosses im stuck on 1 is erlang and other after stone monkey....stone monkey was hard enough, these others are a nightmare....may need to find overpowered cheese and i typically avoid that at all costs, but thought has enterred mind!
@@atle2008 I think they are talking about one of the options in the graphics settings. If it is the one I'm thinking of, it's a slider with a default setting of 75 and if you select it (click on the option), you get explanatory text that talks about pre-generating frames or something along that line. Edit: I checked again and found out I got some stuff confused. The frame generator option is an on/off option two spots underneath the slider I mentioned.
Definitely rage quit material, but you’ll best him eventually. Just learn his cheap ass paterns and make good use of all your spells and resources. Fighting side bosses and gaining stuff from them helps too.
Pluck of many and immobilize combo is a good starter. When he turns to stone cloud form and hit him when he comes out. Use the rock transformation if he starts going off and spells are on cooldown. This fight made me realize how good pluck of many is when you invest in it.
Well to me it’s just my personal opinion play the game the way u want too it doesn’t really matter somethings may work for u others don’t follow ur play style that’s what that games is basically is u can’t upgrade every skill u have to be specific on what type of build u want and what u comfortable with all the good gear doesn’t matter if u don’t know how to dodge or even know the basic mechanics of the game and u do just fine just enjoy the loses enjoy the open world enjoy different enemies enjoy the different bosses yeah we all want to beat the game as quick as possible but reality some of us not so don’t stress urself out about it enjoy have fun and be a true gamer Love and Peace ☮️
I’m in chp 5 rn but and it’s still fun. You can progress without most of the things/spirit in this game. Ive never use rock solid, ring of fire or thrust stance😂
Can someone please tell me where can you get the Purple Lingzhi seed? I want to give that to Chong Loog so I don’t have to keep picking them up off the ground.
I can’t accès the crack in the wall I bested the boss too fast, and the wandering eight disappeared too I can’t kill him to get his spirit. Do you guys know an alternative to get the dragon staff regardless I don’t want to miss out on this great weapon.
@@Vertical8 0:37 thats not pole stance its the heavy attack from the Smash stance with a different animation…i’m asking how did he do that? My character swings the staff around his head.
This game has so much bs. The devs are NOT good at boss design. They look cool but they use every cheap bs trick everyone always hates like teleporing, infinite and randomized combos that will not stop until they hit you, zero tell grabs that one shot you, breaking lock on, flying and all kinds of annoying crap developers with any skill would never use to artificially inflate difficulty. It's kinda trash imo. I 100% will throw it in the garage and never touch it again after my first playthrough.
Nah your just bad you can dodge or perfect dodge anything and most bosses have something to counter them, just need to add some wrinkles to that smooth brain.
