Charlie needs to do commentary only gameplay videos from now on. I dont know why but his chat is always so toxic and annoying. Its also nice to hear what he thinks as he plays along instead of reading messages every 5 seconds

I love the non-stream gameplay videos sm, just charlie and the game with no distractions or tts/chat interrupting every three seconds, makes it feel like just chilling with a homie in a way
Lore Drop for anyone wondering who the golden guy was. Elder Jinchi was a monk that Wukong and Tripitaka (the monk he's taking to the west) came across. The monk offered them shelter in Guanyin monastery but then became jealous of the monks beautiful cassock, and schemed to light their room up to kill them and keep the cassock. But Wukong used his abilities to protect only the monk and blew winds to make the fire spread across the entire temple. After seeing all of this Jinchi smashed his head against a wall and ended himself in a fit of emotion. Edit: I was way too surprised when i woke up and saw people finding this interesting! I hope you all get a chance to learn some of the lore and enrich your playthrough
after seeing a bit of the game played by streamers so far I've decided I'm definitely going to read "Journey to the West" before I touch the game. I think it'll make my initial playthrough significantly better.
I love the transformation mechanic, it's literally just "could I beat this boss playing as this other boss?" I also love that some bosses will actually have unique dialogue based on which transformation you do, lots of potential for subtle lore reveals this way.
Imagine Malenia commenting if you summon Finlay, that would be so sick , I also love this mechanic. The bosses feel more engaging when they comment on what you use

We need opportunity for people with talent, skill and true drive. to hire someone based off of equity is truly ridiculous and destroys any point of having a competitive market if all we care about is making people feel better and appeasing the truly racist who only care about seeing someone who looks like them succeed. I want quality. I want the best of the best. I want a product that is as close to timeless as possible. we've stagnated greatly with games and its because we dont hire just off of talent anymore. Now we have to wait for for the slowest runners.

It tilts me to no end that for the entire fight against the elder jinchi at 26:00, Charlie doesn't realize he can heal himself by killing the small enemies in the arena...
Thank you someone notice. I was just waiting for him to realize he doesn’t have to use his healing. Just kill the ads. Either he did know it saw it as a crutch or he didn’t and was too focus on the battle.
As the viewer we'd easily recognize this as our hands and mind are free to roam but when it comes to playing whilst making commentary it's easy to realize small mechanics like that

It's nice to hear that other people hate the yellow wind sage as well. I saw a few people beat him pretty fast, had to be luck. Took me like 40 tries. When you get him to critical health he throws everything but the kitchen sink at you.
That second phase (19:38) was hard to come by when watching other youtubers. Depending on your performance on bosses, such as barely beating the first phase, you can completely miss a second phase. But if you steamroll them, you'll most likely get a second phase.
Nah the yellow sage boss is absolutely horrible and unfair, maybe not THE worst boss but definitely up there. I just beat him and I did not have a good time.

I actually prefer this type of format because it helps keeping Charlie engaged and focused on the game instead of looking at the chat every 20 seconds.
I hope the yellow wind sage always has warm pillows, attacks aren't even that hard to dodge, it just the ridiculous health pool and barley being able to see what he is doing half the time. The chime you get you can only use once, if yar unlucky he will just summon the tornado again.
the visibility and him constantly going out of the play area makes it extremely annoying especially in phase 3 and i didn’t even know about the thing that makes you invincible to the tornadoes so i can see if some people end up giving bad reviews off that fights it’s borderline bad game design
@@Tissuestrashyou can cancel his sandstorm if you stun him when he is at 3/4 health and turning into sand. Then he won’t have the sandstorm for the rest of the fight.

I find it cool that the bosses actually have a response when you shift into other enemies. Like wind king saying “I told you to guard the bells! You failed your purpose!”
I just beat wind sage. The best tip I have is invest as many points as you can into the tree that gives you more mana to the point that it's full. Buy as many of those mana pills you can from the dog guy. And once you have a lot of man I just freeze him and use the wind vessel near 30% health to freeze him. The wind vessel negates the storm he calls when cat and give damage reduction that you can stack with the defense potion
It's cool to see how Charlie never even realised that killing the adds in the Jinchi fight heals him. He probably would have done it in even less tries if he did
Crazy that he did the Serpent guy first try but he had a lot of trouble with the Black Wind King. I was the complete opposite. It took me like 15 tries to kill the Serpent guy, but only two tries to kill the Black Wind King.
I had the day off so I finally got to play the game, I sat and played the game for 9.5 hours and made it to chapter 3 (Just a little under halfway in terms of chapter progression). All I can say is that this game is genuinely so good, it feels finished, it feels smooth, there’s a lot of content, and the story is top tier. This game and BG3 should be what all AAA games try to be. I have only had one issue with the game which has a very easy fix. That issue was the I originally installed it to my HDD and that caused the video and audio to skip a lot, I had this same problem with Starfield so I already know to uninstall the game and reinstall it on an SSD (Which took about 10min) and since then no stutters or audio cut outs. This game has already made a strong contention for GOTY
I love the fact that both the Elder Jinchi and the Black Wind King have their own reaction when Wukong transforms into Guangzhi, with the Black Wind King calling Guangzhi an idiot

It’s strange, I had a hell of a time with Whiteclad Noble and Charlie first tries him. Charlie then had a hard time with Black Wind King and I first tried him.
There’s potential for some bangers to release before the year ends. This games good but it can be beaten by a big name banger. I hope light no fire can release by the end of the year as I’m super hyped for that game and it has massive potential
Charlie crushing the bosses on his first try really struck my ego. It was so satisfying to see him struggle with the Black Wind guy when I beat it in three damn tries 💀💀

beat that boss today i can confidently say anyone who says it's the worst boss in gaming clearly hasn't played enough games. there's so much u can do before the boss to absolutely steam roll it
Yellow wind sage is definitely hard but it's actually a really fun fight in my opinion. Especially if you do the extra quests and get the secret item and backstory to it all
Hey Hooksh0t, He's not doing anything to kids. If you really wanted him to stop you wouldn't be going onto his videos and giving him money, you just want attention.
One thing I must say that this game does better than From Software is that bosses don't just one shot you. That shyet is annoying AF, it's unnecessary difficulty and it hurts the pacing of the game. In Wukong you'll get hit a lot just like DS or ER but Instead here you can actually keep playing.
