there are a ton of offline games. u just have to look at them & not ignore them. even good titles. i barely see much many multiplayer titles recently that also do well. Helldivers was prob the last one released. meanwhile we got Stellar Blade, Wukong, Elden Ring DLC, Kunitsu-Gami, Hades 2, South Park, Granblue Fantasy. to name a few - the problem is that u dont like most of them cuz u dont like the style/genre. Gaming industry more & more tries to copy the "Souls-like" genre which also is already pretty annoying. looking at the lastest Star Wars already is inspired by the Souls series - small enemies that deal massive damage, same respawn points/bonfires, everything refreshes on spawnpoints & enemies respawn. everything is a copy of it - to some degree its fine but its enough. in 3 years every game is a "souls like" inspired game while not being a real souls like

Sure, but when big companies make single player offline games, everyone bash them. Look at Star Wars Outlaws and AC Shadows. Everyone is shitting on these games so much, that I fear Ubisoft will stop making single player games. I mean, I’m not saying there aren’t things to criticize in both games, but the amount of hate they are getting is impressive.

Kingdom come, witcher, elder scrolls? That's a few I can think of. Even Fromsoft games, though influenced by European fantasy, are very Japanese. We've had Wo Long, NioH, shadow warrior, Sekiro, ghost of tsushima. There's a lot more. You're just not thinking of them.

They didn't review bomb it though. The reviews were all like 80-85. Which is fair because while this game is great it runs like ass. Basically the Crysis of this generation.

No… I ain’t a sheep falling for the Wukong hype. As someone who platimumed all FromSoft games on PS4/5, watching someone like TheradBrad play through it, it looks bland and uninspiring. Awesome art direction and character designs, but the game in itself just ain’t game changing. We have seen this type of game before.

@@cbgg1585 I thought the same too. But after I played it myself, it felt so good, especially the combat system, I've played so many AAA action games and soul like games, but this one is truly satisfying. Story telling is not the best for sure, but this game has done most things right, and better.

Yep it’s actually the perfect balance because while it is linear it still has an aspect of open world cause some of the areas are fairly large and makes it feel some what open world without being too much, and I think it’s perfectly designed the way it is !

A Bumese guy from my country Myanmar said he had watched 1986 version JTTW like 300 times. Don't forget that JTTW to Southeat Asians is like Star Wars to Americans. The 1986 version of JTTW aired have been aired multiple times in the TV stations in my country.

IGN is corrupted. They relied on people to give $$$ to them to write good review. No $$$ then give a so-so review. Nah ign’s 8 is reasonable. The founder Feng himself said he thinks it’s a 7.5 and the 9 and 10 are due to nostalgia and national pride part of Wukong’s IP which he’s is thankful of.

It's a 9 or 10 for graphics and audio but a 5-6 for game design and UX. A lot of the gameplay is repetitive. Even simple things like putting shrines 30 seconds away from boss battles. If it takes you 20 attempts to beat that boss, that's 10 minutes of your life wasted running from the shrine to the boss. And some bosses are several minutes away from shrines with 20+ monsters in between. Running and fighting for 10 minutes only to get killed by the boss in 10 seconds is not a fun experience, it's a chore.

I think its the storytelling. Somehow i feels there are lack of clearty between demons story. Even though i am pretty familiar with Journey to the west, it still a bit confusing. But cutscene and music is sooo great

GS said they definitely will release physical disc .. they now try to solve some obstacle. according to their official statement, they're new Dev, don't have experience how and don't have any connections to distributed.. don't have distributors.. don't know how to transport the game disc etc... But with the mega success of this games, distributors definitely running to GS to distribute the games and wanting contract to sale GS game in future....

Pokemon or any switch games just need a Switch console which is not only cheaper but also has a large user base of 125 million people worldwide while BMW not only needs PS5 but to run smoothly on Steam you need a monster PC with RTX 30 or 40 series graphics card. I think to be fair we should compare it to pc games instead of using switch games as the standard.

Game science is invested by Tencent, many of the head developers works for Tencent prior to game science. They want to work on their own game so they started their own studio and Tencent say fine and invested in them.
