The server was populated because the community decided to fill the servers on BO2 and it just so happened to be the day you decided to record lol. From people who got on before this date, they were saying the servers normally have about 500-1000 people playing daily.
You were playing bo2 on revival day that's why there was 3000 players but on just a normal day there's around 1.5k to 2k players so the game is still pretty active
Doesn't surprise me that this game is still alive, honestly. MW2 is a decisive game, you either love it or hate it. BO2 was praised to be the best Call of Duty game to ever be made. Not by me, MW3 is still my personal favorite, but my friends and I played this game probably for a good 5 years.
BO2 was literally the last ever cod to cater to every single community. Casuals, Pubs, Snipers, Trickshotters.. god the good ol times.. Waiting for sm2! Also thanks for the uploads merk! :)
Only real issue with bo2 is all the mods 😂, and then you have the times to plus because sometimes it’s 1000-3000 players. Bo2 really does deserve a remaster especially because that many people still play and the game is still fun with its multiplayer and it’s a simple game unlike anything we have now really. Most of the time I hop on I just stick to zombies as mp can be well tedious lol. Good video and comedy as always.

Black ops II must have taken up a lot of my time when I finally had Xbox live, like it’s insane, it’s my favourite cod and was probably the only one I was excited to get the DLC for as opposed to feeling I needed to get it
The best CoD ever in my opinion hands down. Sniping was at its prime as well as trickshotting. I remember getting this game Christmas morning in 2012 and it was the best feeling ever to come home every day after school and play this game with the homies and just play all day, everyday during the summer break. Ahhh the nostalgia.
I straight up had no clue that the little yellow lights on the globe were real people online. I didnt put that into consideration, but just thinking of that as a feature from a decade old game is insane

My brother and I would play hardcore just to get team mates kicked. We’d find teammates using things like claymores or whatever the planted explosives were and we’d kill ourselves by sitting in front of it and shooting it. Only took 3 and the person would get kicked from the match.
man I was 12 when I played this game sadly I wasn’t able to play it in it’s prime but I won’t forget the memories I had. hopefully they remaster this game. I would love it.
Erik, they disabled codTV like a few years ago with a little update in 2018 or something as they tried stopping the amount of cheates. Aka, theatre infections. Thats why codTV is disabled (If you didnt know homie) Also, it was the annual black ops 2 day, its a day where people go back to play black ops 2 to revive it for that day or a couple weeks. Its pretty cool. BUT on the point of old games being remastered, I may be in the 1% or something, but I would honestly be fine if they remastered it with the same graphics lol, I just want these old cods to be populated again man. I really do

Black Ops 2 is definetily one of the best, if not the best COD of all time. It's my personal favorite and many people would agree how amazing it is. I'm 100% positive that if they just remastered this game in place of making a new COD, it would be played for years upon years. They could even add new skins and cosmetics if they wanted to make money like they do now.
They took out the stuff from the file share and theater mods cause that was how people were getting free mods and force host to use online which ruined the game
This is my personal opinion. The Black Ops, Modern Warfare, Advanced Warfare, and even Ghosts era was the best era in CoD. Modern Warfare 2019 was actually pretty fantastic. We do need the remasters or more backing of the servers. If they went back to what worked in the previous titles then they’d receive less backlash from us, the CoD community.
We don’t care what cod you play it’s the content you bring along with it :), also who doesn’t wanna see these old cods more? When they were the latest thing out they were hella crazy experiences I wish they still made me feel that way now
