I like this, instead of it being “how legitimately can you speedrun borderlands 3” its more of “how fast fast can you speedrun borderlands 3” even with the guaranteed drops, and everything being fixed sounds pretty fun instead of getting a run based off of RNG

4:40, as a game dev in UE4, I have a theory about that out of bounds mailbox. It could be that they had prebuilt clusters of assets that they could drag in, and one of them was that wall/gate thing and it just had a mailbox as part of it

This should actually be a new category, since a lot of speedruns have a category for mod usage. This makes it quite quicker and much more fun, would love to see this run in one session withis mod

Honestly, this was a fun watch! I wouldn't mind seeing similar content for the other borderlands games! It'd be a blast to see you run through bl2, talking about all the fun skips. When I did my first playthrough of this game I thought the game was ok. My second playthrough where i tried to just blow past everything and just do story missions made me realize that half the game is npc monologues. I did not have fun the second time around haha, also my loadout was just always full legendaries because they drop like water in rain. Legendaries aint special anymore :(

I really like this sort of almost TAS. The idea of killing a certain enemy for a certain drop really appeals to me in a Borderlands speedrun.

He did say the fastest possible time. That’s if all the stars align for the perfect RNG which Joltz kinda forced with the mods. I loved this video and congrats for 600K! Here’s to many more laughs, skips, and plenty of gubs, gargoyles and Defilers in the future!

After binge watching all of your playthroughs, I now periodically squeal "the skip, dude" when I jump over a ledge or "with a matching grip!" on random leggies even though I don't have the slightest idea how to tell. Love your content lol.

OHHH MY GOD!!! Me and my friend decided to play this game again last month and we were both Zane. We accepted all the quests but only we’re doing to main story, so that bounty hunting voiceline played twice anytime we loaded anywhere. It slowly drove us to madness. One time I called my bud and asked him when he last did a spot of bounty hunting he screamed: better get back in the game! And hung up. Thank you joltz for the important revelation. We can finally not get back in the game 😂

Honestly, between the mods and the segmented nature of this run, I wonder if it could be called an pseudo Low Optimization Tool Assisted Demonstration, also known as a Lotad. Hope you did take / are taking a good break after creating this monster of a run. Seriously, some skips make softlocks after all, so take it easy.

I've no clue how I never saw this vid before, but this has been a great way to learn more about how the game itself works. I suppose thanks are in order: Kudos. That'll do.

I'm a 'casual' gamer, in that I'll blunder my way through to the end of a game, and generally, once played, forgotten. I've only just picked up BL3, and after about a week, got myself up to lvl 22. I love stealth games, so this is quite a departure. In my n00bness, I turn to YT to help me out in difficult situations... and I come across something like this. When you've played as much as I have, and realise how fkn difficult it is, my jaw drops at the expertise of guys like this. The sheer amount of knowledge of what is a complicated game, to achieve a run like this is mind boggling. Falling in love with the game, but think I'll be looking at vids like these, rather than trying to emulate them. Taking this in small doses btw... the action combined with the commentary is making my head spin :D

the commentary helps me out so much as i have no idea whats going on and i have only played borderlands, pre sequal, and borderlands 2

the whole point of segmented speed runs is to show the most optimized run possible, thats taking into account what weapons would be best and when, what the best routing is, and of course all that comes in between. as long as you are not claiming WR for it then i think mods are perfectly fine.
