This game is actually really good, and I don't like Call of Duty that much. It's actually pretty creative and the campaign is great. Too bad people blindly hate on it because it's Call of Duty. They're honestly more annoying than the fanboys.
Vega M Yea if it was called WW3 they would be like best FPS of 2012...But since is COD everyone is hating. And you know what i love this game and its great,no im not a cod fanboy im a BF player and this is easily the best cod along with MW1
I never actually played BO2 just because it was too expensive for almost the same gameplay every year. But now i started liking it and its 10 euros here so im going to buy it
VeryLongUsernameThat Doesn'tMakeTooMuchSense 1 dude it happens on almost all call of duty, i still remember when they said that black ops 2 was the worst when it came out
TycoonCat I personally think Black Ops was the last truly good CoD Game, with MW3 being just awful, and BO2 was pretty good, with ghosts being worse than MW3
Wow. Decent. I remember when i got it the same month it came out, there was about 603,000 playing online on ps3. It was pretty wild. Im thinking of buying it eventhough ghosts is $10 haha. AW looks good too. I think im staying away from ghosts
I'm gonna be honest about this...I'm very annoyed about people saying this is the EXACT same as the older CODs.... because I don't think it is. I mean they tried for a more emotional story, put a more futuristic setting, and made moral choices for a different ending. Don't you count that as more additions? This is just my opinion, and I respect that people think VERY differently on this game.
They're just ignorant. Of course the game is going to PLAY like previous Call of Duty's, that's what makes Call of Duty what it is and that's why people buy it.
Agreed, if anything Battlefield is copying and pasting like people say Call of Duty is doing. What new things have Battlefield brought in that hasn't already been brought to the table? Basically every game has been there done that already.
Yes and that is also why people have started to buy Battlefield religiously like people buy Call of Duty. Game play wise it hasn't changed too much since Bad Company 2 yet people still buy that. If it felt any different people wouldn't like it. Look what happened to Bad Company 1, it was radically different from previous Battlefields and it wasn't too well received by the community.
i would say this cod is probably the only one that IS different from the others. at least the transition from black ops 1 and black ops 2 is like starting from scratch with a brand new experience. and then u look at the transition from mw2 to mw3 and then from mw3 to ghosts which just seems the same in every game infinity ward makes
This is the best cod in my opinion it's the most innovative since MW1 and 2. Better than Ghosts which doesen't innovate on campaign and how long can they keep milking perk customization and gamemodes.
Wow your sad . If you have a different opinion. Fucking great. But this my opinion and if you have to hate on someone for it then you are an idiot. You fail to see that nowhere did I state or imply that my comment was a fact or that anyone who disagrees with me is wrong. Also I said it was the most innovative COD not that it was straight up innovative. In short, YOU are the ignorant scrub.
Riwin Frederick I did and i do like the game fast paced formula... but it's just bad acted and put in this 60 $ recycled game..... it sucks to know how people still buy this garbage...
Zombies was a disappointment, I usually don't hate on a game, but Tranzit and Die Rise were really a letdown... But if you're good at multiplayer (which i'm not) the game should be a lot of fun yes.
Did you even play the game or you just hated on it because it has cod in the title or you did not even watch the review and just skipped the score at the end. Because i have played this game for many hours in campaign, zombies & multiplayer, and this review is accurate. This cod deserves a 9.3
I’m from the future and there is a thing called Modern Warfare Reboot Edit: Lol I was watching it again and scrolling through the comments and found this I don’t like MW now
My personal top 7 list of best CoD's are... 1. CoD 4 2. BO1. 3. WAW 4. MW2 5. BO2. 6. MW3 7. CoD Ghost Here's why. CoD 4: The best in the series. A timeless classic. This could simply be because its rather nostalgic, but I doubt it. I played the crap out of this game, and I would still play the crap out of it (if there weren't so many hackers). The weapons, the gameplay, the maps, everything is nearly perfect. The only thing that would bother me is Juggernaut and Stopping power. BO1. BO1 is almost tied with CoD 4. The only thing holding it back is I feel the campaign was a little less interesting than CoD 4. However, the multiplayer was fan-freaking-tastic. Seriously, it is. I feel that this CoD had the most balanced weapons (the FAMAS is a little OP though.) and it had the best pacing in the MP. IT wasn't super fast-paced, and it was possible to actually snipe instead of quickscope. WAW: It took me 2 years before I decided to pick this game up, so I never got to play before the plague of hackers took over. However, the games that I managed to play without hackers are absolutely amazing. Its fun, the weapons are great, the maps are fantastic, there isn't hardly any lag (for me anyway) and there ARE TANKS!!! THAT IS AWESOME!!! However, the only thing keeping this so high up on my list is Zombies. Zombies is by far the BEST co-op mode that I think I've ever played. Its creative, new, and a hell lotta fun. MW2: A little more lackluster than the previous CoD titles, but not by much. The campaign was probably my favorite of the series, however, the co-op special ops I felt was very disappointing, especially when being compared to Zombies. Now, multiplayer is a very different experience than the past games. First of all, we now are experiencing some very annoying and OP weapons/playstyles (quickscoping and noob tubes). This was the game that started the whole "Quickscoping" trend, which in my opinion, is very annoying. However, this game is still a lot of fun to play, despite the hindrances. BO2: Here is where things get interesting. First of all, I think the zombies from BO2 tops both BO1 and WAW, in the fact that it tells a much better story and you can do A LOT more on each map. Also, the campaign is hugely improved, now allowing you to make your own choices that can determine the overall outcome. However, the multiplayer is a much different story. Maps have been made much smaller and less "Sniper friendly" causing much more frantic and chaotic gameplay. Also, Snipers have been made easier to use and quickscope with, which is not a good thing. I still had fun with this MP, but its one that I probably won't come back to very often once the next CoD comes out. MW3: This is probably one of the most disappointing in the series. The hype was fantastic, and I really wanted to love this game like I did CoD 4. However, it was almost an EXACT copy of MW2. The maps were rather generic, it had a lot of the same weapons from MW2, and it just didn't seem all that fun. It was disappointing, and I certainly won't come back to play it later in the years. Ghost: This is without a doubt the biggest dud of any CoD game. I literally played it for only 2 months, and then returned it to my local gamestop because of how bored I was of it. The campaign is horribly generic, the multiplayer is very frustrating and slow-paced, and extinction feels like a dumbed-down version of Zombies. I'll admit, I love the dual-rendered snipers and I think customization is a great turn for Ghost (even though its crappy that they make you pay for new outfits/camo) but I couldn't help but feel I have been cheated once I stopped playing. I am very much looking forward to Advanced Warfare, and I pray to God that it is a better game than what we have seen in the recent years.
This is a real review my friend, well done. Anyway, i would put BO2 in fourth place and MW2 in fifth. BO2 has a lot of annoying bullshit, but is very fun, fast paced, scorestreaks are AWESOME and it has some interesting challenges, like nuclears and that kind of stuff. MW2 was fun, but very broken. Noobtubes, snipers, very slow gameplay, and it was extremely EASY! you could camp for 7 kills, get a harrier, the harrier would get you the AC-130, and the AC-130 would get you a Nuclear, thats all. At least BO2 is difficult, not everybody can get a 30 kills gunstreak.
MrAlbertrocks RD Finally, SOMEONE comments!!! I totally agree with you, and now that I think about it, I would probably change it. I probably gave MW2 a higher rating simply because it is nostalgic, but that's not really fare.
Not just the best Call of Duty game ever made, but also one of the best shooters ever conceived by human hands! Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 was not only a drastic reinvention of itself, it overholds first person shooting and innovated it to a level in which preiosuly we couldn't even concede of. With it's epic storytelling, its brilliant characters and a multi-player mode SO FRESH, you could put it on your salads! Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, is everything video games represent. They are the alpha and the omega of video games and nobody, ABSOLUTELY NOBODY who has EVER played it has had anything bad to say about it. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, the greatest video game of the GENERATION! 20/10 oh wait, this was not Modern Warfare 3... or was it?
It's the fact that people think IGN is lying because we know the campagin is bad and medicore. People think IGN is getting paid to get good reviews on COD Games. It's not confirmed but I sorta buy it. I come here to this video to laugh my ass off sometimes. tl;dr People Hate IGN. IGN Gets Money from Activistion. Good Review for COD Games. Money Money Money. Injustice everywhere
TheHengKong So you didn't play the BO2 campaign probably because you played Call of Duty for less than a week and had a bad experience (probably because you're bad) and generalized the other CODs based off that and found the community that hates COD and you wanna seem cool and a hipster... right? Don't lie. Now let's wait for him to say "No I did play all of them" just like all the other hipsters that love lying...
0IIIIII It is if you think of it compared to a FPS. Let's say for example, being an archer. You aim, you shoot, it requires skill. So does an FPS game. In it's roots, it can be an FPS because its how you can play
+Sp0rk I think I am going to download this for PC and play the campaign. Ghosts 3 campaign looks interesting and I liked Advanced Warfares as well...No desire to buy or play multiplayer :)
+Sp0rk I haven't played a new COD game since 2012, and I don't care how bad the newer ones are, Black Ops 2 is still terrible. It's still the reason I quite COD, and still the worst one I've ever played. If the games from post 2012 are even worse that still doesn't make this turd any better.
Although the last couple of cod games have been shit I think this is by far the best in the series ive played it so much and it's still really fun in 2015 to play on zombies with my friends. Because admit it, blops 2 has the best zombies maps.
Campaign was good, Multiplayer is decent, and I've never been a fan of zombies. So really, this game was alright for me. I played Ghosts, and was unimpressed, so I'll stick with this instead of Ghosts.
Guys, why do you hate this game so much? It deserves it's score. You all think that it's bad, but really the truth and yes...it's the fucking truth this game is truly amazing. Multiplayer was great. If you're a good player, you wouldn't hate the multiplayer. You we had so much to do in Multiplayer and all the DLC was great. The campaign honestly was just amazing, but it should've been a bit longer in my opinion. Zombies...I think we all know how good Zombies was in this game. The bad things about this game = Target finder, silencers on LMG's, very fast characters, & disgusting sniping.
How to fuck up a comment - Step 1: Bad spelling Step 2: Repeat step 1 Step 3: join the mindless horde of cod haters in a vain attempt to be cool and interesting
For all you haters out there, the only reason you hate is because you've played the game, if you hate it so much why would you go out of ur way to dislike a video solely based on a company's opinion. not to mention the fact that you've played it and I can bet you anything you liked it when you did. If you hate it, good for you, why are you watching this, commenting on this, or even reading this. If you like it, then also, good for you.
Same here this is hands down in my mind the best game in the whole cod franchise, next to ghosts, black ops 1, waw and Cod4. The rest are very good but are on the honorable mentions list for me.
Am I the only one who thinks the Call of Duty- Games ( in a way ) are underrated? I mean, people constantly post comments like "the call of duty games are overrated" or "COD sucks!!!!" but they never explain why they suck or why they are overrated. Last year, a lot of my friends complained about this game EVEN BEFORE IT WAS RELEASED, and when I asked one of them why he just said it was gonna be a sh*ty Halo- clone. First of all, just because it's a Si- Fi game doesn't make it a Halo- clone, and
kjarpr0 probably because it is the same not-original game every year. Its just always that they change the graphics and the theme. But the gameplay never changes.
The campaign was actually interesting and appealing compared to the other cod titles. Multiplayer was fine, except for the snipers and perk balance. Zombies was ok: the easter egg concept was kinda stupid. Id rather enjoy surviving as long as i could instead of completing 100 step easter eggs.
Seriously!? whats wrong with the snipers. They seem like the same as the were from the previous cods. I want details to why they were OP in Black ops 2 god damn it.
Seriously!? whats wrong with the snipers. They seem like the same as the were from the previous cods. I want details to why they were OP in Black ops 2 god damn it.
NOPE, THEY DEFINITLY DIDN'T PAY IGN! 100% LEGIT! I mean, 50% of all the people who bought it sold it already, but WHO CARES? If IGN says it's good, it's got to be good, right?
I don't like either of the franchises but I would much rather play cod than battlefield. This is because, although cod is basically the same thing every year, it is actually pretty fun unlike battlefield. IMO, battlefield is just slow paced, boring and dull.
Campaign 4/10 (It was just a futuristic showcase, I didn't care about any characters at all) Zombies 6/10 (Tranzit is the worst map ever made, town is fun though) Multiplayer 8.5/10 (The MP is amazing, aside from the quickscopers and target finders. It has scorestreaks, reasonable hit detection, easy to spot enemies, and fun game modes) When I buy CoD SP is 20% important zombies 30% and MP 50% (4*0.2 + 6*0.3 + 8.5*0.5) = 6.85 Basically only the MP is amazing
"No differences," people who haven't played this game will say that. Single-player has at least three different endings (that I know of), it involves choices, not many, but it tries to change the linear feeling of ALL fps games. The campaign also INTRODUCED strike force missions, I have to admit it was poorly executed, in my opinion, but it introduces strategy to the campaign of COD. The campaign allows you to choose your own gun for each mission, small detail, but it helps. Yes, if you are a marathon video game player, the game does get boring, but all games do. Zombies also changed a lot, no need to go into that area, mostly because I haven't played zombies a whole bunch: multiple pack-a-punch uses, the work bench thing, other stuff. Multi-player introduces a new "Pick-ten" system (weapon loadout), a new sensitivity system, a different feel (for me), Pointstreaks, camping "restrictions," etc. The sounds are magnificent, they also help throw you into the game, I loved the colors of the game, I feel like they did a good job. Graphics aren't the best, but the game runs at an average of 60 frames per second, so don't complain; by the way who cares about graphics, I grew up with crappy graphics for games, so I see that the game play is what matters; for my experience to this point, I find the game to be amazing, one of the best COD's, I don't want to say "since COD 4" because that just makes me sound like a kid who has never played COD before, even though I played all since COD 2. If you are on the edge to buy it, go to amazon and wait for used games to pop up, they are usually at an extremely lowered price, I find that it is worth spending $60 on it, it is a fun game, the campaign, the multiplayer..... and the zombies (fingers crossed.) People mostly rate 0's because they haven't played the game, they just want to troll, so if you want a better and more honest review, go to youtube and watch "First Impression" videos from some commentators, and find the good and bad things in the game.
Strike Force was terribad. If you're going to make a fucking game mode that has the player relying VERY HEAVILY on allied NPC's for victory, then fucking make those allied NPC's RELIABLE!
I still don't get why people just say call of duty is just the same every year. If it was then. Fifa. Ac Gta Bf ect. Have the same game every year Like they are same games but, small different things. different storyline. and different gameplay.. And that's exactly what the cod franchise does in every Cod they do. Get it?
There are so many reasons why Black Ops 2 is the second best instalment into the Call of Duty franchise: Multiple ending campaign, choose a load out before each mission, access kit, brilliant story, pick-ten system, diverse maps, amazing DLC, vastly improved Zombies mode, customise the game, the list could keep going. The only true flaw is Strike Force but still effects the campaign in a big way! Also compare this game to MW3 and Ghosts. Those two games are pretty much crap with repetitive campaign, crap online, WAY more freaking hackers, useless squads mode, the boring survival mode, only slightly good Extinction, crap DLC, useless customisation for Ghosts, limited perks, Death streaks in MW3, boosters, and a useless campaign story which, added on top, is boring and repetitive but tries to be drowned out with one explosion after another. So please, this is bad? Refer to the sources.
This will remain the best Campain in the series and the best offline multiplayer. and zombies is beast. I should note that if u are getting this still and for zombies i would recomend left 4 dead 2. but this is still a near perfect game
BO - CoD Points, Face Paint, New Perks, New Killstreaks MW3 - New Types of Killstreaks, Infected Mode, Drop Zone, Survival Mode BO2 - Future Weaponry, Strike Force, Turned Mode, Hardpoint, Grief Ghosts - Space Mission, Create Character, Play as Girl, and new engine. So it isn't the same shit every year
I don't like Infinity Ward (now respawn entertainment) when they make call of duty because you can't make your own original emblem. You need to use the ones that they put in the game, and it's a pain to unlock them rather then making your own. That's one of the main reasons I like Black Ops 2 better. But knowing IGN this game didn't deserve a 9.3, they obviously got paid to give it good rating.
***** It's not a "bullshit opinion", it's a fact. Comparing Black Ops 2 to The Walking Dead is like comparing a pile of bloody cat diarrhea to a painting by Leonardo Da Vinci. The Walking Dead had a well thought out plot, three dimensional characters, a distinctive art style, immersive music and true emotion. There were times when I was almost in tears from playing it that's how well executed it was. Now let's look at Black Ops 2, it's a load of xenophobic propaganda with Michael Bay explosions and other generic crap that appeals to brainless infants. Games like The Walking Dead will actually be remembered in years to come where as Call of Duty games are only meant to sell, not to be remembered.
I understand peoples reason for not liking this one as much as the older one's but I honestly think that this is the best Call of Duty ever. I've put a ton of hours into this game and interestingly enough I still play it. I pretty much loved everything about the campaign from the great story, to the slightly wider areas to go out the way you want I had a ton of fun. Even the multiplayer was amazing and before this I was never to sold on multiplayer but after this I started to love multiplayer. As for zombies I didn't really like em in this one as much as the original but you can't win em all so I guess thats fine.
