BO3 was the biggest I’ve ever seen the community. Everyone was pulling crazy numbers and the community was so lively. I remember the build up for the first EE4C event was so hype. I really miss this game and the community

Bo2 was technically my first cod playing it at my friends house cuz I didn’t have an Xbox. But when I got it I got bo3 and that was my first real cod I love everything besides the campaign

Black ops 3 is a case of “what if”. The zombies was legendary and arguably the best in the series , the multiplayer whilst hit and miss for some was overall solid other than the inclusion of supply drops. The main issue is the campaign was just not what people wanted. It was boring, barely linked to the last black ops and the fact it was all just a kinda dream for a dying man ruins the experience. As a zombies player I loved the game, but the game wasn’t the complete package meaning for many , it was average or maybe less. Overall black ops 3 is always going to be a game that’s held in high regard , especially in the zombies community, but is missing that extra something , whether this be a multiplayer with the removal of supply drops or a better campaign as a whole.

The zombies was the best in Black Ops 3, and the multiplayer was really fun. The combat in the multiplayer was sharp and the features were weird at first but a nice touch.

Not the best but was really underrated and underappreciated within the COD community. Some people didn't like it cuz of the futuristic element/jetpacks/wall running while others loved it for that. I think most people hated the supply box/black market system. Multiplayer was overall really fun especially with friends, not to mention the customizability was great. Zombies was legendary. It was also a COD that was packed with content and extra features like dead ops arcade, free run, etc. You could tell it was a game that the devs put effort into. Imo it marked the end of the golden age of COD

Bo3 is the one I have the best memories of personally, the supply drops may have muddied the waters for mp dudes but zombies was so great

The game was definetly IMO underappreciated. I loved the game from the start and all the way till the end, so I might be a bit biased. Still, the game was very good. First of all I think that the jetpacks were a good improvement from Advanced warfare and I like the new concept of it and the other mechanics such as the wallride. Both the score streaks and weapons were good. Many of the weapons felt viable, and the attachments helped to elevate that. Zombies in this game was both good and bad. One of my favorite zombies map of all time was in this game, Der Eisendrache, but a lot of the maps felt weird and complicated, especially for me who was a zombies casual. Especially the USSR map and shadows of evil were incredibly confusing. The game progression and prestige's in the game were also pretty good. This is a hot take, but i loved the specialists. I felt like it added a new layer of depth and was a fun mechanic. This made the multiplayer feel fresh and different each match, although it felt broken at times, I still had fun. All in All IMO a underappreciated game which i think a lot of people realize now. Of course it doesn't really top the bo2 and bo1 experience I had, but it is still a top cod game and one of my all time favorites. Damn, didn't really think I would be writing an essay about a almost 7 year old game.

totally disagree with everything said on safeguard. My memory of that was a very fun high pace gamemode, wasnt hard to get high kills since everyone just ran towards the small area around the robot and was actually one of the few gamemodes where i rarely ran into teammates who ignored the objective, however i think this is because less than 5% of players searched for it but it was a nice refresher gamemode in 24/7 lobbies.

For me, I believe that the campaign story wise sucked, but was really fun to play. And the option to play it with friends was really nice for someone like me who absolutely sucked at multiplayer at the time. I had a blast with most of the levels. (And had my mind blown with the concept of a zombie filled campaign of sorts with Nightmare mode.

Glad you brought up how absolutely insane how many guides Zombies has. It has tons of replayability, but the tedious steps to enjoy maps really made new people turn away from the new Zombies. Thank goodness ZC existed because this mode really needed a bigger player count.

Watching this and remembering the Easter eggs just makes me think of when I would go into lobbies and asked if anyone wanted to do Easter egg on maps, I got a group together and we did the giant, and der eisendrache for sure, not sure about shadows. But we tried doing zetsubo no shima and it was buggy as hell. One guy couldn’t do the Easter egg, group just kinda drifted after that. Good times though, I remember seeing the rockets hit the moon. Damn what a game

During Bo3's life cycle, I was more of a multiplayer person, which was off because I always loved zombies more. The DLCs were so drastic in their design that my 15-16 year old self couldn't handle it. Only map I played a ton was Der Eisendrache. But I was a multiplayer kid. Overtime, I was already done with Bo3 right when revelations hit, and I stopped easily after that (multiplayer included). The pay walls were so much for a kid that barely could afford the dlc packs and grinding contracts was enough for me to leave it. Fast Forward to now, I've been replaying all the dlc maps, including zombie chronicles (remember, I stopped when revelations came out) and I've realized how much I missed on. Hell, multiplayer, even with the irritating hackers, has been so fun. I can't believe how much Bo3 brought in terms of a great Zombies mode and multiplayer mechanics that feel amazing (minus weapon pay walls). I've been so happy playing Bo3 so much again, I've decided to take up playing each main map from Bo3 and doing their Easter eggs (shadows of evil I can't fully do since I'm playing solo). Before now, I had only ever done Der Eisendrache with a friend that basically did it for me. Now I am doing it myself. The satisfaction of it all is what makes me keep going. Hell, the storyline for zombies in Bo3 was powerful, revealing the true nature of each character, and what their past has been. Richthofen isn't as insane as he once was, but still has a bit of psychotic energy with a mysterious twist with the things we don't know. Dempsey isn't a one noted character who fights every second. He cares for his fellow brother in arms and, IMO, feels more badass because of his emotions that were once suppressed with "MERICA, F-K YEAH" Takeo isn't a stereotypical Japanese man who speaks in short sayings and fully in tune with his Samurai heritage. He now has purpose and a family he cares for. He listens to Richthofen because he sees every characters emotions and knows Richthofen is trying to do good for the world. He also finds out his once beloved and trusting Emperor betrayed him and is ruthless, causing himself to seek redemption. Nikolai... What can I say besides they made the most stereotypical character into one of the most unique and memorable character. His past that he claims, were all lies (ultimis) and Primis knows the pain they both have is deep. And let alone, Richthofen tells Nikolai won't comprehend the Kronorium, which is ironic, since Nikolai is the one to end up and is the true holder of the Kronorium

Hindsight is 20/20. This game is a top 5 CoD of all time despite the supply drops and awful campaign. Zombies is the GOAT in this game and the multiplayer is easily the best since CoD 4-BO2's golden era

I remember I got so into shadows i manged to basically solo the EE by about round 6-7, included sword upgrade as well, i had this shit down to each individual kill, every little point cheese like using the servants as sacrifices to spawn 2-4 more zombies, abusing bloodhound to get those tiny 10 point hits

Safegaurd was my favorite gamemode, i dont remember much from it but it felt like the only game witha serious objective that i could treat competitevly

My main problem with the game was the amount of dlc weapons locked behind supply drops. Theres a ton of them and no matter how many I ever opened I never got any weapons. I also wasn’t a fan of mega gobblegums.

Once you've watched enough videos and read the reddit post/wiki explaining the campaign then it does finally make sense. It's just complex. The way it was told was awful, but the story itself was great. I was finally able to appreciate the campaign once I fully understood the real story and played through it again and started noticing a bunch of things I didn't notice before. Unfortunately it will always be underrated and hated because of the approach they took.

bo3 was my first cod game I played at launch and it’s still my favorite to this day. By far the most beautiful and vivid maps in any game and zombies was the best it’s ever been

I’ve never cared about campaign, and wasn’t really too bothered about zombies. Multiplayer was where it was all at for me and honestly, as a player who started playing cod back in the mw2 days and played the mw3 beta, bo3 is my 2nd favourite cod of all time. Bo2 of course is at the top. I haven’t played cod in a few years now, last one I played was world war 2 or whatever it was called, it wasn’t fun. I only play gta now really tbh.

I don’t know about anyone else but I would play safe guard and my team would try to get the robot into the objective point

The multiplayer and zombies were both perfect in my eyes. The campaign fell flat but still had a ton of thought put into it which is why it's the greatest cod ever created in my eyes

There’s so much about this game that I love and I got to level 1000 in multiplayer and most of the way through zombies and played the campaign (terrible story) with friends so many times. I so much of my teenage years playing this game I remember playing it on launch getting the season pass and doing absolutely everything. I have at least 150+ days on this game just on Xbox. Recently just for the meme I got it on 360 just to mess around with and it’s so bad. These days I still play this games modded zombies feature a lot and it’s pretty much endless content. Best COD imo

Straight up, I didn’t like the zombies at all and it’s only gotten worse since. Shadows and The Giant were chill, everything else was trash. You can’t build a map around Easter eggs and pointless quests. Zombies is a round based game and that’s all it should ever be. Call of Duty developers LOVE forgetting about what made a particular thing great. The set ups are annoying, the build-ables, gobblegums, and weak zombies, made the mode so easy it wasn’t fun. Back in the day when you finished a zombie game you’d start up another one without any hesitation. These days, when you have to go through 10-15 minutes of mindless, monotonous steps just to get power or pack a punch a gun, the desire to play all night is gone. In the future, a “barebones” zombie mode would be greatly appreciated

I think the supply drops were one of the best things eventually, eventually they were nerfed, and some of them weren't really that good, just cool ideas, because even if some guns were op'ed the majority of these guns weren't abused, I'm a huge fan of bo3 and played it until about 2018 and still get on here and there, the most abused guns were some of the base weapons in the game, such as kuda, vmp, kn, man o war, m8, shieva, brecci, haymaker, people can complain about it all they want, but it gave so many people things to grind towards, not just dark matter or prestige master, nostalgia as well, some of the guns were coming back from other black ops games, and some from WaW, then the melee weapons were genious and fun to use, very underrated and most complained about thing in the game was supply drops, something you left out was the community contracts, and weapon bribe contracts, I don't think the game was very p2p/p2w, it was balanced and had a lot to offer, and has to be my favorite game in the franchise so far, I won't say bo2 or bo1 was bad, because they were amazing as well, this is just my personal opinion, I enjoyed it the most

After hearing an explanation of the story of the game, this became my favorite campaign of all, this went on another level with it's psychological story that relates to real life and which can happen in the future if we live till then. As for the game itself, what ruined it for me and probably for the others as well are the lootboxes and the annoying flying around, it's not really fun trying to swat a fly. The zombies are great and the fact now there is workshop for it makes it the best IMO.

Personally, I thought BO3 was the last "solid" Treyarch game. Zombies was GREAT, but multiplayer was really confusing and complicated, and the campaign was hot garbage. I say last "solid" because although the zombies of BO3 was a banger, it was nothing compared to both BO2 and BO1's campaign, multiplayer, and zombies combined.

I really enjoyed the campaign in bo3. The vibes were like scary honestly. It would give me chills and the customization in it was crazy. And also the co op experience was soooo much fun. You and 4 of your buddies can mess around in campaign and In nightmares too. The one issue I have with zombies is the weapons aren’t interesting to me. I wish there was more variety and more dlc weapons and weapons from other games.

Im 4 months late but here is my short version of my experience and opinion on Bo3 as both a then competitive player and now casual player. Bo3 is my favorite CoD to this day and to a lot of people, thats a wild statement. From a casual/pub perspective, this games had so much to offer, especially at the mid-late end of its 2 year life-cycle. Maps - Every single base map in this game was fun, not always for every single game mode, but overall. The few map outliers that I personally think were genuinely bad or unfun are all DLC maps. With the movement, maps offered a lot of out-playability that other cods didn't offer, especially in comparison to modern day CoDs. If you knew the map and movement well, you could be an absolute menace, you were genuinely rewarded for being good. Thats a thing of the past now. Most maps were the 3 ish lane maps that most CoD players love and most maps, even the "bad" ones, had decent or in a lot of cases, a great flow to them. Casually, there werent many maps people heavily voted to skip, it was almost always a close vote. Competitively, from what I remember as a comp player myself then and from the pro scene, everyone liked or at least was completely fine with the maps. That cant be said now. Movement - The movement in Bo3, as stated previously, was definitely the largest and most prevalent skill gap in the game. If your movement was practiced and fine tuned, you could wreak so much havoc on a lobby. It was nice to have another skill-gap aspect to the game, other than gunskill. Some people didnt like this, and I understand why, but most people I know loved it because you had to be good at both to truly succeed. Weapons - The weapon variety in Bo3 was to die for. I remember playing with my friends, summer of 2016, and talking about this exact subject. It felt like you could pick up any weapon and genuinely do well. Some were obviously better than others, but aside from the VMP and Vesper early on, nothing felt unbeatable. Sniping was different but really fun, especially in SND, there were so many incredible jump spots. Competitive - The competitive side of CoD during bo3 was probably my favorite time. Most pros loved hopping on every day, the SND wager/chall scene was at its peak and thriving, the CWL rules were solid, the game was great. This was peak comp CoD imo, that or maybe Bo2 but slight bias on my part. It was fun, the pros loved it, the viewers loved it, it was as perfect as it could have been. Casually - No SBMM, tons of great maps and weapons to use, map veto, decent metas, dope specialists abilities (although some were borderline overpowered and or obnoxious), score streaks were great and plentiful. Pick 10 system. Whats not to like? Campaign - We dont speak about this... 🙃 Zombies - I wont even get into this, anyone who played Bo3 zombies a lot of will confirm this game probably has the best zombies mode of any CoD and the most content, especially modded. My biggest takeaway from this game was the Supply Drop system. Absolute garbage through and through. Thankfully they added a few ways to earn weapon bribes later on in the life cycle but it was too late. If this had a play to earn system instead, I genuinely think this would be right up there with bo2 for most people. Overall, I stand by my words, Bo3 is a top 3 CoD and my favorite by a long shot. 9/10 experience overall and I wish this games servers weren't dead as hell on PC.

(Speaking primarily about zombies here) Personally, BO3 remains one of my most hated titles and I still get angry DMs about my review on it on the XBOX store. Got one today, even. Generally speaking, I dislike it because the weapons are ugly (which, when they're one of the things always on your screen, is a surprisingly big kick to the stomach), the base map is too complicated, the other maps are just... remakes, yet the weapons in the remade maps are weird in the sense that some don't match the original wall weapons' purpose (marksman being replaced with a shotgun, etc.) and that the weapons were all sci-fi when... quite frankly, it didn't make any sense for the time period or story overall. I also didn't like the perks they added and the gobblegums felt gross to use. Overall it just felt like a terribly reskinned version of previous Black Ops games, and I didn't have a reason to enjoy it over, say, BO2. Infinite Warfare genuinely just feels like a better version of BO3 to me, the card system is an improved gobblegum system that feels enjoyable to use, the weapons are fun and look great with unique firing modes, the sci-fi look feels tangible and not just... "lol box with trigger", the guns felt like you could actually fire them, the maps were unique and stylistic while being as complicated as you wanted them to be... etc. Terribly underrated game. Anyways, I just don't like BO3. Thanks for making this video with an open mind, I'm tired of being harassed for my opinion on the game.

Respect to throwing Havoc and Metro into the bin. With glitches such as the infinite active camo, six perks, and specialist abilities as tactical/lethal items, it makes multiplayer almost unplayable

a few things about zombies i like to mention cuz very few people remember this cuz it didn't last long the ray guy haveing the loudest reload ever omg the whole goble gum machines were reworked they used to work by 1 would be on the map at a time like the box and would move around after like 3 hits and if you didnt take the gum it still would deduct it from ur stock pile if it was a mega the apotican servant used to be able to be packed on shadows and was even more op then the one on rev dead wire was trash at the time cuz it would work how they pre patch waffle and blast furnace was op
