I was more invested with Case and his affiliation with the Cradle than whatever Harrow's life was at the final mission there. If he actually died, it would be a massive disappointment for me since there's potential to tell more about his background like Bell was in Cold War, especially that woman's voice in Case's head. Overall, i give the campaign a 6 or 7/10. Not the best, but it is certainly better than MWIII
Story wise definitely needed more missions or something, it feels unfinished and not very connected but hopefully this means we do get another campaign or something Missions wise it's peak, i think the mission designs and overall execution of them is very fantastic But ending just feels off idk, like something is missing, definitely Case has something going on we don't know about that might be important if they do expand on it in missions released with seasons (yeah i do want them to put some work into more campaign like this with similar quality and verity)
The voice in Case's head is Jane Harrow, I have this weird theory that her and Case were the two original subjects. When he breaks the glass spreading the cradle she starts saying "I understand now" ... sounds dumb but the campaign fucked with my head
Given his conception as a super-soldier, what standards of expertise would be necessary? Theoretically, he would excel all characters in terms of combat effectiveness, cognitive abilities, and overall capabilities. Did his development involve early-age training, similar to John Wick or Hitman 47, or was he an existing soldier subjected to significant augmentations?
@@latj16x Where is said proof? I'd love to believe it's case but I don't see it. so I'd love you to actually give proof rather than just saying you have proof.
I think Pantheon is trying to be more of an ''extreme'' CIA replacement. W/ like a handler and its operative or something. The cutscene shows that the male subject is specfically called the ''controller'', the female subject gets thrown in (and is infected with the cradle, not sure by gas or injection) and is super passive. Controller loses control upon sight. Seems like he gets triggered. Besides that, the character at the end is Caine (operator) and the bio reveals that he got recruited by Pantheon in the late 1980's. Pantheon was long active before the recruitment of both Jackson and Harrow. If anything, Harrow's parents most likely were early Pantheon members and I do think Adler was sent to execute them by the CIA's command. It seems like Pantheon is recruiting all Crimson One (MP Faction) members after a loss of a loved one/traumatic event whilst using the argument to make the current CIA look bad and a motivation to get rid of them. Looks more like an internal race between CIA and Pantheon over who ''rules''.
They were the original two as certain missions alluded to it. * When the team went to Kentucky, Case was exposed to the gas and began to trip out. The voice and phone calls basically told us that Case was ‘Test Subject Case One’. It is heavily implied he went mad in the past and caused the leak to occur. Those recordings tapes we find in Kuwait/Iraq that spoke of an incident ten years prior? That was the thing that happened in Kentucky. * During the end portions of the campaign, Adler uses a drug which cause Jane’s psyche to fragment. One part of the mission has her remembering the stuff that happened in that Kentucky lab.
@@mrtouchmynub4178 I'm concerned about how the game will handle Case's connection to the Pantheon, especially since she's deceased. Will they explore this plot thread in upcoming seasons or save it for Black Ops 7?
Correction: We DID see the dude behind the computer before, in one of the first cutscenes that take place during the interrogation in Livington's office. He was sitting in a chair in the dark and was briefly shown right after Harrow says to Marshall "My office in five".
@flashbandicoot8766 I feel that the gas-induced hallucinations are reminiscent of the Scarecrow's fear gas. However, my main concern is that the storyline involving Case seemed to be abandoned after the laboratory mission. I hope the developers will delve deeper into it as the BO6 seasons progress.
My two main issues with this campaign is that 1. Case's backstory is never really fleshed out, who's the voice in his head? Why did the cradle effect him differently 2. The guy at the end is definitely Caine the face matches up, but my issue with that is we only see him once in the entire campaign so the reveal just doesn't have any impact. Aside from those this was a really soild game with a decent story
I'm guessing the voice is Harrow? And it's explained in the campaign that the Cradle only really made the infected schizo, there's audio tapes explaining how initial trials only killed people when it was injected, not inhaled. It was initially meant to be like a sort of super soldier serum thing, but after the OG project got it's funding pulled, it was later turned into a more potent bioweapon meant to make everyone schizo (presumably making them see others as zombies like what was happening to Case)
about Case ,i think its pretty clear in the emergence mission ,the mission where you fight alone against the zombies ,that Case was case n1 in all that human testing of the craddle ,so he was actually the brother that survived the tests you hear in the audio logs in the open world mission
This is a great campaign, my only gripe is that Case is a silent protagonist, which removes him from most of the dialogue. (Yes, I am biased against the silent protagonist trope)
I was having a fun time playing the campaign but after beating it... wow the ending did not feel fulfilling, I thought we were actually getting answers but instead it builds up to nothing. I was curious about Case and their whole backstory only for it to be abandoned.
@@Braydyn Listen what I have to say bro the guy at the end is Case he was seen during that Interrogation room scene in the back by the mirror if you look closely I got a picture proving it’s him it matches the same mf we seen at the end. I just wonder what’s next for him we actually don’t know that much about him we only know parts
@@latj16xI don’t think it can be case because he got messed up off that chemical stuff at the end fighting Harrow seems that would have a dramatic effect on him he wouldn’t be the same or good enough to be on a computer he may still be alive atleast but most definitely not case being the secret mole
@@rydn_xIt’s not makarov and you are big wrong about his age during this time period. He is actually 16 around the late 80s when he was working for the Soviet Union if he born in the 70s around the 90s he is around at least 20 or maybe 19
@@latj16x that’s the original Makarov idiot plus Makarov in the rebooted mw game is born in the 1980’s and black ops 6 takes place in 1991 meaning Makarov would be 11 years old
This whole campaign felt like a nothingburger. The more they stray from the original Black Ops formula, the less I freaking care about where the story was headed. The only character left from those first games is Woods. Adler's an okay character, but I don't quite consider him groundbreaking in any way. And they seemed to end with more questions than answers this time (which might be their intention with this "Season Pass" BS). I prefer my campaigns to have an actual ENDING.
you want interesting story rooted in real events in the 90s that couldve been interesting with characters bo2 made you care about, too bad, you get man jaw cage fighter and mime protagonist tacked on a 5 hour season pass ad
I think a lot of ppl didn't like this campaign because it was really different from Call of Duty but I would dare to say this is the best campaign in the franchise period. It's not a recency bias kicking in but the fact every single mission had something unique going really shows the devs in Raven really paid every single attention to these missions. They really meant when they say this will be the best BO campaign in this subfranchise
@@ChandranPrema123campaign is more than just story. The fluidity of levels, uniqueness of levels, replay ability this game has all that. Cold War back when it came out considered it a weaker BO1 but I would rank BO6 higher than BOCW because it’s evident they used CW as a baseline to build upon
yeah, i meant it was a good campaign for the black ops series but not good as the OG Cod story (Bo 1 and Bo 2) overall similar to cold war but a bit improvement and gameplay time
@@draps2001campaigns imo are more than just the story. Sure the story could have been way better but the amount of effort, level design, replay ability and uniqueness for this game really goes under appreciated
Tbh this is the best campaign in years. I really enjoyed it and had a hard time putting it down. Much better than the past 5 or so. Honestly it made me think of Blops 1 in a lot of ways which is my favorite campaign. This is definitely in my top 5 along with Blops, MW, MW2, and AW.
Thought this was a great campaign, only had one thing that I thought was a little funny. At the end when Livingstone said that he wanted Marshall and crew to be off the grid agents as if they hadn’t put him and Adler onto the most wanted list not long before
The guy at the end being Ryan Jackson makes a lot of sense. He's been in the CIA for at least since 1968, so by BO6 - he's been there for at least 23 years. He probably knows and handles all the sensitive information in the CIA so him being a rat makes the most sense.
but it doesn't make sense. in '68 ryan would have been much older since being a in a high rank means u served a long time in the CIA. to be in a black ops group and in a commanding capacity in classified operations. that means he would've been quite old in age by the time this takes place in 1990. it doesn't make sense that this is ryan. the guy at the end looks too young he's pushing 40 at best from his looks .
@@VALK627 If you look closely when they are in that interrogation room it’s somebody else recording for them when they are being questioned by the CIA. I think it’s the character we plays as his name is Case but I had to go back and play it through again before I screenshot a pic proving it’s the character we play as , you remember Bell from Cold War it’s a theory going around he didn’t die when we thought Alder killed him he was captured & tested on this is one of theories that makes more sense. It’s not Caine or Ryan
I Can’t wait for the rest of the lore of the campaign to be fleshed out in seasonal content which I wont keep tabs on and then be confused when bo7 comes out after like 10 seasons of story lore was done in the seasons
there was a missed opportunity in this game. it was hinted at that we’d finally find out who the mole in panama was, and all we got was that it was blamed on adler, but most likely wasn’t him
Coming off the awesome CW campaign this seemed a little disappointing since I had high expectations But the missions were good especially the art design and music Also I think people will agree that this campaign had a more of a modern warfare vibe to it since it takes place in that era
@@mtnman11000 not in the story. Storywise, it's worse than all 3 BO campaigns(BO1, 2, CW,). Although gameplay wise, it's definitely the best campaign there is and I'm ready to die on this hill. My ranking: For story: BO2 BOCW/BO1(tie) BO6. For gameplay: BO6 BO2 BOCW BO1
@@CoolManCoolMan123gotta agree, the gameplay looks pretty neat, but there are missions where they're just straight up Far Cry & Resident Evil scenarios. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of those series but I prefer the classic linear stages for COD. That's just my personal preference anyway
@@CoolManCoolMan123sometimes i really gotta remember that everything is subjective, because you putting bo1 and cw campaigns on the same level really irked my soul. but thats okay
Why is no one mentioning when you play Jane a child, it’s the same room as “Samantha” from zombies. Her room was first seen at the end of BO2. There’s a cut scene where Samantha and another boy ( Edward ) are playing with the toys. My theory is Jane is Samantha and case is Edward, someone tell me I’m crazy.
The guy behind the computer was also sat in the meeting in the beginning, when marshall is told to meet in harrow's office the camera pans to the computer man
That’s definitely Caine at the end of the campaign. He’s right there in the interrogation room at the beginning of the campaign too. Go ACTUALLY take a good look at him in MP and read his BIO. Him being an MP operator is setting up for the post campaign story
I think this campaign is gonna be a big hit or miss for everyone, I personally really enjoyed it, I liked the Mission impossible/OO7 aesthetic it gave off, Adler was a top tier character as always, I also thought the newer characters were good though, especially Marshall.
try to watch the first interrogation scene of marshall, harrow, and woods and try to look at the guy who's recording their conversation and i think he was the guy from the last scene.
6:40 no, the mozambique drill is 2 shots to the chest, 1 shot to the head. the idea behind it is that you'll have 2 shots to take down the enemy, and if that fails, go for the headshot.
@@rachinvocat9587 yea but at that point, it's no longer Mozambique Drill. You have to understand where the drill even comes from. It originated during a war, can't recall which one, but a quick search on Wikipedia should do the trick. Long story short, a soldier hit an enemy with 2 shots to the torso with a pistol as it was normal at the time for that to be enough to kill an enemy. This enemy, however, still tried to fight back, so that soldier put one last shot to the head to finally kill the enemy. It's for this reason why the Mozambique Drill is also called the Failure to Stop Drill
Really hit or miss campaign some levels are really good and some are terrible, the zombie one where you fight five bullet sponge bosses that teleport around and spawn tons of zombies in is the most annoying experience I’ve had in a cod campaign
So what I get from the ending, bc that’s what makes most sense. They took Declassified, brought in Ryan Jackson, he already took 2/3 ppl out and now he going for Weaver since that was in his report towards the SAS. Anything else didn’t make no sense to what happened in Panama
I think it’s a new villain not Caine and also I see a lot of people saying case and mason are the mysterious character but they are too good to be the leader of pantheon
Case is probably not dead and will most likely become an operator later on in BO6's lifespan, maybe season 1, maybe he'll only show up by the end in season 5 of BO6, we'll see.
So many fuckin plotholes. I know why. Its for that season pass or whatever bullshit they are ripping off from fortnite. I missed cod campaign where it has the best ending ever. I want ending like the og mw2. But instead, we got this shitty unresolved ending. But, its the best cod campaign we had for a long time. I love felix. Very good character. He is like the nerdiest character but once he starts killing, even marshall loses his breath. Love it
He was in the 1rst mission before Marshall was dismissed. It could be Caine or Ryan Jackson the face isn't clear but i still have a feeling we gonna see Alex Mason as a hooded man hiding and checking David at the last Season idk why.
I highly doubt mason is alive since they literally said he was dead even the notes that the characters wrote about mason it’s either Felix or Adler that wrote that
@@Itz_zexion1329 he’s not alive and they didn’t go for the alive ending instead they went for mason is dead ending so they confirmed it he’s dead and it’s a lot better he stay dead
@TheItalianMafias And that also wouldn't make sense since that's the canon ending in BO2. If they changed it and Mason, it's really dead, then BO6 it's not longer canon to the original BOs story.
Silent protagonist is a huge L in a franchise that started verbal protagonists for CoD. Lack of multiple endings is a bummer too. Cold War was awesome, this felt so disjointed and unimportant. They had a bunch of really cool ideas with no backing to them. Adler on the run, a group of protestors/terrorists??? named Cerberus, telling the public that The Truth Lies.
Do you actually believe Cod will put a guy in multiplayer already if he is the villain they tryna build up. Hell no it’s bad for marketing yes the outfit matches tho but if you look in game and go ss that last pic in campaign you will see it’s not Caine I thought it was him at first to but it’s totally not they are setting up this guy Ryan to be a villian or he will play a huge role in first few seasons they always do this
@latj16x huge cope , ryan jackson or any other og bo character will never come back , the writers are garbage , also if it was ryan jackson they would have name dropped him , this is stupid
@@Black-ops-guy why would they name drop lmaoo when they want obvious want to keep that character a secret why you think he wasn’t in the whole campaign just one scene think better my guy same shit they did in Mw ll with Makorov
If it actually is Mason man that would be the biggest plot twist in this whole decade. A main character staging his whole “death” as a setup to continue being the mole for the enemy
I feel like this campaign has a lot of mixed reviews purely because of those trippy missions. The rest of the missions I feel like are done really well however in my opinion I think they dragged out the emergence mission way too long. For some people they probably loved that though.
I really don't know why people didn't like those missions. They were probably my favorite missions the game. I other hand didn't like the Kuwait mission.
I didnt care for the zombie missions. I dont hate them as i love zombies but when i play CoD campaign i just want to be a badass killing enemies as standard warfare, i dont want to deal with zombies and genuine horror. And i felt Case's connection to the cradle was lackluster. A lot more could have been done there that wasnt. And what was the "one final card to play" that woods mentioned? It wasnt Harrow being good or calling off the hit after a second dose as i suspected, and it wasnt a round to her head as that would have been done right as they were coming in with the shotgun so what was it?
I mean obviously… we will be getting black ops 30…. Or maybe in 5 years they won’t be able to call it Black Ops anymore and it will be called Black and White Ops
Campaign was pretty good, but the last 2 missions ruined it for me, defend the house and harrow memories were insanely tedious, also the open ending to sell you next year cod. Pd who tf is the post credits scene dude?
@kingbooomer9231 Wikipedia is crowd sourced information and if you want to compare caine to the guy at the end look at the forehead sizes there about 3 inches apart
