They say call of duty doesn’t have enough diversity but Ramirez saved the whole US from Russian ultranationalists. Definitely one of the greatest silent protagonists in gaming
16:57 Remote sniper is the explanation. It was established that Keegan knew how to set it up and use it himself so he could easily have infiltrated the building and then use the remote sniper while inside.
The best part of MW2022 was the Huge love letter to Ghosts during the end of the campaign. Rappeling down the building in Chicago brought back 13 year old memories. We should get Ghosts part 2 for the next IW game. No more reboot MW.
Too bad it's a reference to Ghosts in such a bad game. And the worst part is, we can't even hope that one day they'll give us a sequel. Because even if they did get done of nostalgia baiting with an IP they didn't make, they will not be able to make a campaign good enough like the old CODs/Ghosts to live up to a sequel, it won't play well because they all play like shit now, and because Activision would be upset that they can't make it canon to Warzone because Ghosts' world is just too different. They'd be more likely to reboot Ghosts rather than continue it.
Ghosts will always be my favourite cod. The story was amazing, the multiplayer was fun and extinction was good as well. This game will always be special for me, and deserves more attention.
I also have a similar opinion as I feel like this was the last time IW truly innovated in the way they made the games. I was always hoping that Extinction was gonna be IW's 3rd mode
@@JingMitsuyamaCH definitely there was so many things that ghosts introduced that became mainstays or were extremely fun ideas that sadly never got revisited due to the moslty negative attention the game got, advanced warfare also had alot of interesting and fun concepts aswell.
im an og cod player. PLayed sinced waw. And i think Ghosts was a pretty good game. Very underrated.. It this came out today i would play the shit out of it.. Modern cod is just bad. I cant even play it now. All that "modern movement" and shitty shiny skins are so bad..
I won't say I think Ghosts is the best. MW2 and BO1 are too great, and WAW is probably still the best WWII game of all time in my opinion. With that said, Ghosts has always been a person favorite to me to where I'd personally put it easily within the top 5 somewhere. Which says a lot because the "golden era" of Call Of Duty is made up of 6 games that are all pretty incredible. And in fact, I know a lot of people say MW3 is one of the best games, but I'd honestly say due to all the turmoil behind the scenes, changing of developers, etc, that Ghosts is just what MW3 wanted to be, but was held back by a previous studio's visions that didn't correlate/work with the new one. Ghosts is fantastic. Beautiful looking game, fun gameplay, good campaign, fun multiplayer, some of the best maps in the entire series, and Extinction was a blast. And yet, why does it get so much hate? Because annoying comp youtubers complained about it? Because the game had two or three bad maps in the base game? That really overwrites everything this game does well?
Literally the only original story that call of duty has ever had. I do not understand why it wasn’t liked other than children wanting a faster pace game
@@TV-MA.x_x.dude…i think we all know black ops II is one of if not the best Call of Duty. That doesn’t mean Ghosts is amazing in its own regards. Don’t be such a suckup to one game.
Keegan was hella dope because his mask out of the ghost squad is the most iconic and personally I think it’s better than ghost’s. He’s such a badass because he’s the strong silent type that doesn’t take shit
I'd argue that Keegan is the *most* underrated character in all of call of duty, because that literally can apply with any character from the old WW2 call of duty's.
I love the old ww2 call of duties, call of duty the finest hour was the first cod game I played as a kid, as a kid I didn’t beat the whole game and haven’t since but it was still my favorite other than call of duty ghost
When I first played ghosts I didn’t play cod games since BO1 at that point and I had a bad relationship with my older brother, one day I bought I PlayStation 4 with the money I saved up and my brother saw that I bought it so one day without saying anything he came home with call of duty ghosts and a 2 six packs (which was the first beer I ever had in my life I was 16 at the time but whatever) for the whole night we stayed up late to play the game, we each played a single mission and handed the controller to each other after we finished the mission we played, he even let me play some of the cool moments in the game even if it was his turn. We talked a lot joked a lot and we both fell in love with the game. That game single handedly helped me patch up my relationship with my older brother and we started getting close once again after that point on. I know it’s not about how the game is but because of this personal reason it is one of my favorite games ever. And it also created a great tradition between me and my brother were we meet up and one of us buys the new cod game, the other one buys 2 six packs and we play the game the same way we had since my brother bought us Ghosts in 2015.
I've always loved Ghosts. The DLC is easily the best in the entire franchise and I really appreciate how IW took Ghost from MW2, a random teammate that was so beloved and was able to create a game around him as a concept. Personally, my fav character is Hesh. I always liked how his design was distinct from the other Ghosts. Everyone including Logan (you) had a mask but Hesh went with face paint. He really was our big bro that entire game and it really sucks we never got to play as him in a sequel trying to get Logan back from Rorke. P.S. I'll never forget Rorke saying "where's our silent friend, where's Keagan?" Bro was really him
Also, I think its clear the writers made an error; theres no way hes one of the deadliest marine corps snipers of his era before he can even get a drivers license, let alone him being in a Tier 1 special forces unit by 16. It's very clearly just a writing mistake.
ghosts was such a good game, I remember getting it for Christmas in 2013. I never played online much, splitscreen and stuff mainly, it honestly was fun! We really didn’t know how much the franchise would change for the “better”🤣🤣
Ghost is one of my special games too as it was one of the first cod games i played. Many people don't like ghost for their multi-player but the campaign was absolutely solid in my opinion. Great story, great characters. At 1 point it was just a trend to hate on the game but I loved it dearly
Ghosts had alot of Aura, unfortunately the writing was very poor, with little character development, cliche plot points, bad pacing, and simple events that just didn't make sense. IW really did try so hard to innovate in this game in every other department, but it just didn't land. The potential with this game was huge, and with the cliffhanger ending, I would love to see justice for this game with a sequel capitalizing on its strengths and buffing out it's weaknesses
Ghosts had the right ideas for innovations like the perk system, score/kill streaks that either supported your team or punished the enemy team, no tedious rank grind for unlocks, and customization unlocks. But, they flew to close to the sun because they added a bunch of new things just for the sake of "innovation" that were either useless or imbalanced. (IEDs, Guard Dogs, stupid melee range, pointless map dynamic events, and don't even get me started on Field Orders rewarding you with a KEM strike.)
It's funny. When I first played the game in 2013, 13 year old me was instantly just like, "Oh this is the new Ghost." Basically this game's Simon Riley. Over a decade later and I still think I'm right. Obviously they're different characters but the idea is the same. "Quiet badass edgy guy"
I'm SO glad someone is finally covering him. I know this campaign isn't as loved as others but Keegan is dope as hell and one of my all time favourite CoD characters
Honestly good video covering a character from a game some people didn’t like, I grew up playing this game and I loved everything about it so hearing about videos like these makes me want to play it again
This video just made my day. Thank you for making this video. Also, this was my first cod game too one of the best campaigns I hope we get a ghost 2 👻 I remember when this game came out on the Xbox 360 I was just a kid back then
Thanks to YT algorythm I found top material for tonight's after-work watch~ But truly, "CoD: Ghosts" is truly underrated imo. Sure it has it's flaws (ahem, "Nitro Tanks"), but it's one of the best stories CoD franchise has ever cooked. Even now I still have spark of hope that one day will see what happened to Logan... and maybe Keegan will be the one to save him.
9:48 I think he was just sniping like before Cause that’s what he does he’s a scout so I bet he was on a rooftop with a nest and was just giving overhead
every tiktok gooner cosplayer is ghost or keegan. he is popular on cosplay tiktok apparently. I personally loved cod ghosts even tho it kept crashing every time i would play on my ps3 lol.
Keegan is actually the first character I’d ever liked in the COD series even after knowing the more popular characters 😭 please do more character video thingies like this thank you
im REALLY hoping we get to see Keegan in the next narrative, i absolutely loved his character and had even dressed up as him for halloween one point, he's an amazing character
Great video cant wait to see more like this. I replayed ghost a few weeks ago. I wish theyd make a ghost 2 the campaign would have so much potential, even tho most cods are just warzone focused now. Still excited for bo6 multiplayer
Recently played through the entirety of Ghost and I’ve gotta say there’s a lot of aspect in those day and age games we took for granted no longer in the game today.
Ghosts was also the game that introduced me to the franchise so many years ago. My parents wouldn't let me play online yet me and my brother had hundreds of hours of fun with each other just playing in offline bot lobbies and also experiencing the campaign. Overall it is one of, if not, my favorite call of duty and i would love to see a sequel.
Bruh Brian Bloom also is the voice actor for Captain America in Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. Man is straight military. He’s the Kevin Conroy for me when it comes to voice acting Cap, very talented man.
When I was a kid I used make call of duty crossover stories. COD ghosts was always my favourite hence why in all my stories that I made about the crossovers. The ghosts were the elite of all.
Love the work behind the video and the passion on the game story and character. If you have a discord I can show you some behind the scenes stuff of the game.
i loved him, he was such a good character. I loved Ghosts its my comfort game and i play it too much. It makes me so sad when Ghost simps mistake him for Ghost 😭😭
Ghosts easily has some of the most beautiful missions. The jungle mission after your plane crashes was absolutely incredible with its pacing and how well it does the environment. Also I think if we ever get a sequel where Rourke makes Logan a ghost hunter, it’d be interesting to see Keegan be the one who tries to save Logan with Hesh
I’m glad to see that someone else sees Keegan as a good character in a game that a lot of COD players see as a bad game. In my eyes ghosts was interesting and I would have totally wanted to see a second ghosts as in my opinion Keegan is a TRUE ghost even better the OG ghosts. As he is more of a cool looking guy than a “ghost”.
Federation Day - The best mission in Cod: Ghosts (my opinion) featured Keegan in the first minute looming over the city which def made you feel like you were a part of the Ghost team.
Bro as a kid who barely got any new games because my family didnt have a lot of money for games i was happy to finally get a call of duty game and ghost was my favorite me and my twin would play it all the time and then we got advance warfare another favorite of ours the one with the Exo suits
It really is a shame Ghosts wasn't the game or franchise it should've been. I think it could be considered the end of the classic cod era we haven't seen cod be the same since (not saying Ghosts caused that end). Its the last cod that tried to start its own "cod franchise" like BO or MW. Sure you could say some of the newer ones tried as well but I think the storytelling and campaign in general really took a backseat after Ghosts and hasn't returned since, even if there has been a few good campaigns after Ghosts. Its not a perfect cod but I think Ghosts genuinely gets an A for effort, and in retrospect I think its really hard to argue that its a bad game. By the way you said this was your first scripted video, well hats off man, keep up the good work.
Don't actually know because I haven't check but, if Sandman is one of those forgotten characters I'm going to die. Sandman's death legit had me shedding tears for a reason.
