your math is off its 279 different camos. the 27 military camos are all the same per weapon so that counts as 27 not 27x40 and all the mastery camos are the same per weapon that that only counts as 12. not 750 camos to choose from.
Yeah I was actually just thinking the exact same thing. For some reason he multiplied the number of mastery camos (12) to the number of weapons (40) which makes absolutely no sense, especially considering he didn't multiply the number of military camos (27) for that same exact reason. Therefore, you are correct, there are only 279 different camos in the game.
Ah damn, you're right. Wires didn't connect properly in the ol' brain and then just didn't double check my number of "standard" camos while recording the VO (Think I multiplied the masteries in there looking at that total which is just a dumb mistake when I already recognized the 27 military camos as the likely* same camos for each weapon). Terribly sorry on that one :/
True, the game kind of feels pointless because when the next cod title launches every year its starting all over again and nothing carries over. I really liked mw2 Carey forward to mw3.
@@DatHondaBoi223 they literally just did that with mw2 and mw3 , so they definitely could with black ops they will just have to make infinity ward or sledgehammer help
BO4 had the best camos ever with the reactive camos and dark matter and spikes coming out the gun. No modern cod has had any camo any where close to as good as those
With 3 camo tracks to grind I just don't feel a single year is enough to finish anymore, especially while trying to grind other games at the same time.
It only took me a month and a half to get all the masteries for mw2/3 zombies and mw3 mp that’s with working 50 hours a week so it’s not bad if you set yourself a goal. There’s a spreadsheet that helps you keep everything organized too.
@@Frozbroz Where are the spreadsheets? I created my own for MW3 camos, and back in the day with the old prestige system I tracked that too so I knew how many levels per day I needed to do to hit master prestige before the end of the games life cycle....going to set that back up for BO6 I think
it is. i got mastery camo for all the guns in MWII over a single double xp weekend event, including leveling up the weapons in order to start qualifying for the challenges. this is just x3. very doable.
@@isturbo1984you’re either straight up lying or you played the ENTIRE weekend lol you didn’t do this over 1 weekend playing with the fine a normal person has
i like a lot of how it feels like the old camo grind where you need headshots then you get into more specific challenges, but for the love of god i just want to get gold on everything and automatically unlock diamond once i get gold on every weapon in a category
I'll hold most of my judgement for when the challenges themselves are available to see but I have a slight fear that, even with you being able to pursue virtually ALL the camos without needing to level a gun, the grind through the military camos for each weapon might make this task just as tedious as in the past.
I might be getting greedy but I’d love to maybe see one final, gun-specific mastery that you get for completing the Gold equivalent challenge in all 3 of Multiplayer, Zombies and Warzone. It would show that you have true mastery of that gun in every gamemode, and would be very rare
This is such a step backwards and the cod community is blind not seeing it. We went from being able to do all 4 challenges at once after levelling a weapon...to being able to do 1 at a time for 9 camos. Get headshot with gun 250 times for 30+ weapons...such variety, such wow.
If the game launch with the absurd desync from the beta, the headshots will be basically impossible, and then, the overall speed of the movement, making headshots even harder.
They changed it though so headshot challenges will count to the next awhile ago from what I remember. It will vary the amount for weapon type too. It’s not hard 😂
@@kylepetersen1852 it wasnt even hard and you could pick the ones you wanted first...you cod fan bois are one step away from fifa players buying the same cloned game on repeat, change is good bro
dark spine is literally just the spinal tap canp from bo4. i think bo4 had the best overall vamos in the franchise by a long shot and games coming forward should rlly take inspiration from that game.
This is such a dumb camo system. I have to use a gun, put it down, come back to it, put it down then come back to it again? What was wrong with just getting a gun gold then moving on lmao
The recently added mastery camos on MWIII are infinitely better than anything else. I would rather get an absurd amount of xp on a gun like 100K-200K rather than do dumb challenges that force me to change my playstyle. XP, Kills, or Headshots, would love it if all camos required only those. Edit: Ffs this just looks like the MW3 Camo grind but with more headshot challenges..
That’s pretty much how it’s gonna be in bo6 a lot of headshots for the base camos but I can’t say how the actual unique camos and mastery camos are gonna be. But trust bro MW3 challenges are not near as bad as it used to be. 2019 and CW camo challenges were ungodly
@@elxse4478 they never will cause they hold their childhood nostalgia cods on a impossible scale but yet expect and demand the devs to surpass something the community wont allow them
@@UnhingedCanadian I got Orion in MWII which while tedious wasn't very hard for 99% of the challenges so I don't think it's a skill issue...enjoyed the game immensely more in MWIII going for the new mastery XP camos because I could progress towards camos while just playing the game normally with the guns I want to use. I'm open to having both as an option, IE, Do these 4 challenges OR get 50K weapon XP. to get gold. Do these additional 2 challenges or get 100K xp for diamond (after golding all). Etc.
There’re actually way fewer camos than in the past. In past Treyarch games after the headshot camos you would have like 5 different challenges. Now it’s only 2!
As someone who never really has enough playtime to unlock the mastery camos, mainly because of the weapon level requirement. This may be the year I can actually earn it
So most likely 100 headshots total per weapon. Seems like a lot, but since you can start it right away as you get the gun, no level requirement. Thats not to bad.. I hope the other two challenges aren't Longshot or mounted kills though. I'll definitely be doing dark matter. Maybe zombies eventually, because nebula is one of my favorite camos ever. Dark matter looks beautiful to, I like the red specks to its like a mix of bo4 dark matter in there.
As long as we don’t have the damn mounting kills and f***ing long shots I’m ok… 100 headshots is doable.. I do hate bloodthirsty medals for challenges cuz they become hard to hit for some odd reason
They normally tweak the numbers for certain weapon classes. Back in BO3, they changed the sniper challenges to One Shot Kills rather than headshots to make it easier so I hope they keep that, for the sake of people who can’t snipe very well. I’m not one of them so I don’t mind either way.
@@jraith21 I am 100% I’m not a very good sniper… I got interstellar on mw3 and completed all snipers in war game mode.. it’ll be a real challenge to do it in bo6
im really hoping they have a "Weaponized 115", "Cyborg", and maybe an Origins pack a punch skin for weapons, i used to rock the 115 all the time in bo2
The Dark Spine Camo is actually from Black Ops Four believe it or not. When you got a fury kill with the gold camo equipped it pulsated like the Dark Spine Camo
As someone who’s been trash at warzone since it got incredibly difficult after its initial release, I’m worried that I most likely won’t have a chance at unlocking that warzone mastery, which is a bummer! At least the other ones are sick!
I don’t care what people say, these camps look absolutely crazy besides a few! So glad that gold and diamond look like classic gold and diamonds rather than the crappy version we’ve had the past 6 years!
Thanks for making this video. I’m pretty new to the weapon grind the original modern warfare games. I probably use for guns total when I got back in 2019 I did the same thing Cold War same thing and then I found your channel with MW2 and learn how to get all the camo’s, etc. MW2 was kind of rough with with the camera grind for sure with the long distance challenge, even though there wasn’t many long distance maps. MW3 was pretty much a cakewalk, but fun. I was kind of worried about B06 due to it being a full game not something that was a DLC in the beginning we go back to the MW2 days with the large number challenges, i.e. 50 long shots. But I was really worried that we’d have to get something like 50 hostage kills or 50 kills with a hostage, etc. this seems pretty good from what I hear has shots aren’t the hardest thing to do especially if you play on hard-core this game sounds better and better as we get closer and I can’t wait until October 25 and the year ahead of your videos
I think most people know that the BO4 camos were the best, the problem that people have with it is the gameplay. I loved BO4 so I don’t share the same opinion but we all have different experiences.
@@jraith21 I absolutely loved B04 as well. It was my first game grinding for dark matter because of how nice the camos looked. As well as grinding for master prestige. Kinda sad recent cods haven’t been able to give us incentives to really grind the game besides an operator or calling card
@@dom_acer Yeah for sure. I grinded Cold Wars zombie camos, built stopped half way for MP. MW2 and 3 I stopped half way too. This camo grind system is similar to Bo3 so I probably will get back to grinding again. No more mounted kills and bs challenges hopefully. 🙏
i heard from an ace video or someone else that challenges may be different for shotguns, but we shall see i guess. hopefully there’s some variation because if not this will get stale very quickly.
I was just unlocking camos again on MW2 remastered (H2M) and it felt so much better just having to get headshots jeez man cold war challenges made me rageeeeeeeeee
Looks pretty decent for the skin grinders. Id like to see a skin rewarded once all 3 top tier skins unlocked. Also wish they had white gold skin (or at least chrome)
A Warzone Camo grind is actually insane. I just hope they fix up kings ransom because that camo looks like someone let their toddler glue jellybeans all over their guns
How has nobody realized that dark spine camo is exactly the reactive camo “spiral” from bo4 except it’s even worse cus the one in bo4 changed colors to green, red, pink , blue and yellow and orange.
Spinal Tap is a gorgeous reactive camo, but combined with dark matter being a near carbon-copy of BO3/Cold War zombies AND nebula coming back it just feels a tad lazy that we’re getting more and more repurposed material. Especially when you look at the amazing dynamic camos MW3 has put out for random challenges
I'm pretty sure almost all mastery camos are just ripped from other cods but people are ok with it cause now they add some color the more you shoot it, I'm not one of those people.
honestly i prefer mw2/3's camo system, like yeah the levelling was a slog to even start earning camos but having 4 unique camos per gun that are usable on ANYTHING was honestly great. and especially considering i dont even like the military camos this is a massive downgrade
Camo grinding is the only reason I grabbed the last couple cods. I’m really excited to grind these multiplayer and zombies camos this yeah not only because they’ve made huge improvements in the systems (like going back to headshots and no level requirements) but also because I really enjoyed the beta and I’m looking forward to enjoying the game for what it is! Camos this year looks so dang sick too! Big step up from Cold War’s masteries imo
With the idea of this camo grind and prestige grind, if it works like past years, you'll want to focus gun categories and prestiging rather than trying to get multiple gun categories at once. Think like doing lower level stuff first and then higher level stuff and unlocking the guns you want to focus on grinding camos for with prestige tokens for a permanent unlocks
So the camo progression is almost like Black Ops 4 with headshots and then it unlocks 6 special camo challenges with like long shots bloodthirstys no attachments etc
Hopefully the warzone camos aren't too bad cos I'm not particularly a fan of WZ but i love going for mastery camos. Please treyarch/raven, don't make us get like 15 kills a game with an RPG while omni moving off a skyscraper at full armour. Or longshots, both are as bad as each other.
While I’m glad we’re getting *more* camos before the masteries, as 4 is a bit too little, I really, really do not care for the headshot challenges. I never felt like headshots were expressly skillful, especially in the current cod climate, where headshots are much easier than they ever were. idk, we’ll see when the game comes out.
While Warzone camos are cool to have, it is not enough to make me pick up Warzone personally. That said, classic headshot challenges will be, concerning on multiplayer side considering the omnimovement and less impactful natural headshots from what we could tell in the beta. I think the overall system may be alright, depending how many headshots. Such as I liked 100 in BO4, 160 in IW with the advanced movement sometimes, not so much.
Is the snipers and shotguns gonna have the headshot challenges too or their own separate challenges because I aim for the the body when I'm using those
If BO7 has carry forward I hope the mastery camos are the same as BO6’s but theirs an extra 12 mastery camos for getting mastery camos on all the weapons from both games
Possibly the biggest waste. Getting headshots, for most weapon classes. all of the main ones require a barrel to make headshots matter and said barrels in the Beta were like level 25-30+? So you still essentially have to level every weapon up halfway before you can get the camos done. even though there's no "technical" limit to getting headshot kills before, there may as well be. Especially if they keep the gunsmith and xp as it was in the Beta where it takes 2+ hours to level a single gun (with double xp).
7:58 I really wish the final Mastery Camos had one last special challenge, and becomes usable for every weapon after unlocking it once. Automatically unlocking it feels rather dull and anticlimatic imo. And another thing imo, if a special challenge for the final mastery camo, it would be nice if you can choose your weapon and that weapon gets a bonus reward to it that is exclusive to that gun.
So question does that mean they wont be introducing new weapons per season like theyve done for the last few games with how this weapon prestige system works wouldnt the more they add the harder to get those higher tier gun camos become?
