I believe it has to do with how Bell's memories are all false despite them claiming otherwise. Sims could see it as an issue since Bell was never there but says otherwise

@@yakro3449 Regarding the fact that he’s a CIA Clandestine Operations Officer, I’d say he’s lying cuz he would never reveal personal matters, just like the thing with his scars. Although... in a general perspective, I reckon he could’ve actually been married at some point in his life as it’s stated that he joined the Agency at the age of 29... so he could’ve had a wife prior to that... maybe even before going to ‘Nam. But just because he mentioned straight away such thing to Bell... I would say he’s not being for real. Actually... Willis Huntley, the CIA Intelligence Officer from the Far Cry series actually has similar lines when it comes to his former wife.
