Black Orchid Tom Ford Review 

I love Black Orchid. I’ve even been complemented by a woman when I was wearing it at a bar. Please stop caring about what other people think. Wear what you like and enjoy it. This will forever be my signature. This fragrance really does smell different on different people. Your body chemistry really dictates how it smells on you. A salesperson tried it on her and i didnt like the smell. I sprayed it on myself, soo many compliments.

I think this smells quite masculine to me, and I primarily like to rock more unisex or masculine than feminine. I think this is good for male or female. You need to be very sparing though because it is a total beast.

This one is great. Macys markets it as a women’s fragrance, but sephora will place it along with the mens fragerance, or at least the locations I shop at.

This is a really great breakdown of black orchid. Good job describing the unisex aspect and the uniqueness of this entrance-level niche fragrance.

Great review as always. Ok guys, I bought it and it does t smell like a woman’s fragrance at all. Artisan Pure by John Varvatos, that one I could not get into at all. I tried but it was too floural for me. This one is great. It’s dark and has a great scent throughout the time wearing it. It’s definitely a night time fragrance. I am a sucker for Tom Ford fragrances and this one didn’t disappoint. Don’t be scared guys, it’s truly unisex 👍🏻👍🏻

If it's not your cup of tea, then it's not. At least you are honest about it. Some notes in fragrances people just don't like and you are one of them. But there are others who like those very notes you don't like. People smell things differently. I like the smell of sweet notes in a fragrance, but there are people who might hate it. So I say to each is on. I find that no matter how much you like a fragrance, there will always be someone who will hate it and think it's the worst fragrance out there. People has fragrance flaws for the bad or for the worst. Thank you for the review, it was very helpful and I learned some important things from you. I like this fragrance, I will buy it.

This might sound crazy. My partner just got a decant of Black Orchid, she sprayed it on my hand and tbh I didn’t care for it at the start, but on the dry down I am getting my grandfather’s shaving cabinet vibes. Think it’s the sandalwood and white musk. Love it

Definitely a unique scent but I layer with a lemon base lotion and it combines beautifully.

Thanks for the review! After your description of it I decided it probably isn't for me especially based on your previous scent reviews. That being said, it might be one where I try a sample to see how it works on my skin. It very much seems like a winter/cold weather specific kind of fragrance or one to keep for a particular occasion at least for me.

black orchid is my signature scent if im wearing it to casual, evening out...i strongly apply 2 hours before,shoulders front and back, back of my neck from further away to open the bubbles, walk around for about 20mins to dry, apply body butter 1 hour in and spray into my palms and rub head to toe... with my skin chemistry and brain chemistry because i know what im wearing, only hits no misses, its seductive, its feminine and its bold... i wear the fragrance, its doesn't wear me and people overlook that... I'm alright with that its Chris Stapleton - you should probably leave and also, if i have liquor i drink single malt Britney Spears - Toxic, im having tequila what about you?

You definitely have to be secure with your man hood. On my skin it smells Amazing in the cooler weather. For my skin. I get alot of Compliments with this fragrance.

I just received this fragrance from scentbox and it's a unique scent. I like it. Very different from the scents I usually prefer to wear...definitely wouldn't have chose it for myself but I'm glad to have it. It is a really sweet smell...not pretty but nice. I'd definitely wear it in the winter months verus summer.

I have tried a sample of black orchid before but didn't like it. Then my sister gave me a full bottle because she didn't like it.... used it during winter. I sprayed it on my skin or under my clothes and I loved it from then. It's currently spring in South Africa but Johannesburg is relatively cold, especially at night; so I'll be using it again. Love this review

It’s a dark a mysterious fragrance , I prefer the edp over the parfum.

I think u gave a more realistic description compared to Jeremy when it comes to this perfume. He’s a maniac and over hypes certain fragrances that aren’t even good in performance. And he says that this one’s not much of a compliment getter. I believe u and u got me into black opium extreme. I think this one tho is much better, but I gotta smell it first

Wear in moderation. I actually can see men wearing this. Its beautiful and bold. but it depends on the weather for me. I went and bought it. It is heavy. Its not subtle. So if you dont like to be noticed, this isnt for you. On me it smells pretty harsh but as it dries down it gets better. But its not something you should ever blind buy like i did. I can see myself wearing this when i want something heavier when im not around a lot of people. This is not a fragrance to wear to restaurants, on first dates in general. Its very long lasting and its worth the money. But its not for everyone. At 140 dollars, its not something you want to waste money on if you are not into heavy scents or get headaches or nauseated easily from perfumes. So this review is 100 percent accurate. This scent aims towards fall/winter for me. Now that its under 40 degrees it smells better. It is not for hot weather at all. And do not attempt to layer this with something else unless you are experienced with layering and know what goes well on your skin. Its a scent best left alone.

I think Tom Ford know what he was doing when he first label this one for women. Probably want to experiment to see if men would still wear it
