Tenoch always struggled in Mexico as an actor, because he was always sidelined with racist roles which portrayed him as the bad guy because of his color. I feel glad that he finally has reached to the big leagues. Congratulations Tenoch.

@@Tovii2022 the director disagrees with you if you actually listen to interviews. I'll take the directors word on this one. If you actually see the film you will see the true villian, the United Nations specially France and the US. Trying to seek out and exploit the resources of other nations (Wakanda and unknowingly Talocan) to use it as weapons of mass destruction for their own agenda. This is all in the movie and the very beginning if you see it.

Yea but it’s in a different sense. He’s not being stereotyped as a robber because of his skin tone. He was casted as Namor for his acting skills and of course him being Latino played a part but any light skin Latino could have been casted too

Black women are thirsting over Namor, and he has crazy chemistry with Suri, so don't be surprised if Suri becomes a non-binary masculine female, and Namor is at the bottom of the ocean, thirsting and falling in love with a woman from the Caucus mountains. Pretty sure there were probably folks not happy that a melanated coupling is possible. Folks made Suri a lesbian, thirsting after that little kid she found and mentored. While others are claiming that Namor is too old for Suri. But Wonder Woman is immortal, and Batman is just a rich dude with gadgets younger than her. Sorry for the rant.

Stan Lee was a man before time.
@bohwe43
@bohwe43 Год назад
This needs to be said more often. I mentioned it a few times; it was great to see another person giving him his props. Stan Lee used the civil rights era for many of his works. Professor X and Magneto were inspired by Martin Luther King Jr and Malcolm X. Black Panther was about black Americans living on a floating island above Africa/ Black Panther was created to discuss black Americans. Stan Lee doesn't get enough credit, but he used his storytelling to discuss race relations, gender roles, disabilities, politics, etc. Stan Lee and his collaborators weren't just comic book authors but social scientists; we should remember them as such. They were able to reach children and give everyone a voice.

It needs to be an eye opener to both sides…fighting the same enemy. We are stronger together!!!! As a Latin here in the US, where history is limited to one sided version in school books, I went on a journey to educated myself a lot on both cultures. Black people matter big time to the development of Latin America socially, economically and culturally. Afro Latins form a large part of our community. West Africa was brought to the Americas and it’s seen from our music, to foods, religion and traditions. We are tied to one another historically. In the past, the Afro community has help brown people like Latinos, Native American and Italians here in the US and else where; for example Haiti helping in wars during Simon Bolivar’s era; joined Native American fight wars here in the US and created business and strong communities along with Italians. Lets really appreciate an opportunity to heal and come together. I am a shamed to say that in the past the Latin community has not responded with respect. The Italians forgot and Native American are not returning the past support currently. Let’s support one another and sing a song of unity.

There are still many indigenous groups in Mexico that live in separate communities and Tenoch probably grew up with more of the mestizo and Mexican culture as opposed to a separate indigenous group even though the indigenous ancestry is still there. There are still many indigenous groups in Mexico that fully embrace the same lifestyle and speak indigenous tongues like Nahuatl.

But we mestizos still grew up in a indigenous influenced environment, mixed with Hispanic traditions, that's what makes us Mexicans and mestizos, but that doesn't mean we should deny or be ashamed of our ancestry. I'm from south Mexico, currently living in Yucatán (not my Hometown), and here there's a lot of truly indigenous people.
