I loved the film black panther like millions around the world. But I also think it is an important film for what it means for the sci-fi/fantasy genre.
Note 1: I wrote and recorded the majority of this script a few days after Black Panther came out in 2018. So some if some of the references are a little dated, that's why.
Note 2: The hardest part of this video is there were things I had to over generalize in order to stay on topic, there are several important complex historical concepts that I barely give one sentence to, I would love to dive in deep with all of it, but that would quickly take away from the point of the video.
