Great video! You do a great job explaining the cards as you go, reminds me of the good ol’ days with Dale the Casual Gamer. Also, always love Black Panther 💯
Great play through i like the idea of this deck thematically! You missed a few retaliate/ energy barrier pings, but man that is so much going on you do a great job keeping track!
Great video!! Always gla to watch another game done by you!! Still pretty new to Marvel Champions but two questions. The first is, does Black Panther play similarly to Iron Man in the sense that the goal is to build his suit throughout the game? Secondly, is the Infinity Gauntlet just a module that can be used with any villain?
Thanks for watching. Glad to hear that :) 1. I find them entirely different although I can see the similarities. Black Panther is much more self sufficient without his upgrades and starts off much stronger. Getting them out will unleash the full potential of his hero kit, but I’ve played games where I don’t prioritize his upgrades. Iron Man NEEDS tech upgrades out ASAP and without them he’s not very good because he only has a handsize of 1 (+1 for each tech upgrade). But when Iron Man has his suit built out, he can consistently handle everything (16 HP, 5 threat removal, 4 damage per turn without playing cards). Black Panther needs to draw and play Wakanda Forever to unleash his upgrades and they’re not as versatile or strong as Iron Man’s. 2. Infinite Gauntlet is a module that can be used with any villain. It is required for Thanos and Loki. (All of my games are played with the required and recommended modular sets)
Definitely don’t mind. I have a tripod that holds my iPhone above the coffee table. It’s not directly above the table, although I would prefer that but it doesn’t reach. So it’s angled from the opposite side of the table from where I sit.
That was a mistake on my part! The side was “put into play” and at one point in the game, the “hinder 1” only activated when the scheme is “revealed” and not “put into play.” With the most current ruling, hinder will always activate and i was not up to date when i played this game :/
Thanks!! Sorry I never entered it in cdb. Going from memory it should be something like this: 3x Repurpose 3x Energy Barrier 3x Forcefield Generator Electrostatic Armor Armored Vest Avengers Mansion Quincarrier Helicarrier Nick Fury Black Widow Brother Voodoo Starhawk Clea Daredevil Genius Strength Energy 2x Power of Protection
Thank you :) The attachment, Frozen actually has an alter-ego action so I needed to flip down to get rid of it! Here’s the card, apologies it’s not readible on the video: marvelcdb.com/card/21158
There was a point where I did want to remove them but I felt other priorities on the board were more urgent. Eventually when I realized I was close to gunning him down I decided to ignore them. Usually if I’m playing more defensive heroes like Spider-Man, I’ll ignore most attachments on villains.
I think at 47 min you could have defeated Loki but man does Loki give you those long tough battles. Fun! One hero I was interested in your thoughts was Wasp. Often declared not fun ant man but I think she is pretty cool!
Wasp looks great! I haven’t played her but she has a very versatile kit with unique decision making opportunities. I don’t think she’s a knockoff version of Ant-Man or anything like that.
Huh, right out of the gate you made me look up rules. You don't add the extra threat from hinder on War in Asgard when it's put into play because you say it's not revealed. In the 1.5 Rules Reference it amends Hinder X to whenever the sidescheme enters play. The set-up on the main scheme says to "put it into play", which falls under "Enters play" according to the RR. Interested to hear your take on this.
Hey yea I totally played that wrong. Someone else commented and explained how it changed in rules 1.5 but I wasn’t aware. So War in Asgard should have started with 7 threat instead of 6!
@@webwarriorfanatic we play, we learn. This is your second video I've watched, love the set-up and the way you talk through the game. You have an almost ASMR like voice, very soothing.
@@svendejong8110 haha thanks. Yea I hate making errors when I post a playthrough but it keeps happening 😅 But like you said its a learning experience. I looked up all the keywords right when I found out and I believe Hinder, Quickstrike, and Toughness are the keywords that trigger all the time. Surge and Incite are the ones that need to be revealed!
Ooh Loki :) I like Loki’s shtick in this game. Though I wish I didn’t always have to use the Gauntlet. But oh well. My first time fighting him I was using Adam Warlock. Although I made the mistake of resetting Loki’s health every time he swapped out so it was def a battle of attrition since I couldn’t really die xD Oh Hinder is done on “enters play” now according to RR 1.5 :)
I hate loki, but it was really interesting to watch, the deck idea is really interisting, I think that he is better with shield, but your deck looks also great.
Thanks! And I agree. I think he’s stronger in SHIELD, but I found him lacking in damage there. I thought Repurpose would help him get that damage, but now he lacks the reliability that SHIELD gave him 😅
Sorry I just randomly put the cards together for this one. But it’s just a generic Repurpose build: 3x Repurpose 3x Energy Barrier 3x Forcefield Generator 2x Power of Protection Genius, Strength, Energy Avengers Mansion Electrostatic Armor And cheap protection allies
