How rude ! I put in my order back in 2016 and still no sign. Pity that cuz my vision now definitely is 2020 so I can see that the 🌊 are more clear even with rose tinted 👓 and they are looking extra exciting from where I am sitting on the shore yacht less.
Obviously not a sailor. ;-) The hull looks sleek enough to me and at that size there will be more than enough space for my dunnage inside. The rig looks good but I'm always wary of unsupported masts on anything bigger than a Laser dinghy. It's not being able to see the keel properly that bugs me. The keel says more about a yacht than almost anything.
@@Kimdino1 im not a sailor but im sure that gazillion dollar yacht has been engineered & over engineered & those masts aren't going anywhere, because they actually are supported not with the normal rope but supported instead by 40+ 2" diameter hardened steel studs once that mast is locked down it becomes one with the hull no need for ugly ropes dangling all over the place
I guess it's nice to have when you and you're billionaire friends have sucked the world dry to the point of collapse. He'll just need a little mercenary army on board to defend himself.
The sails with solar cells part is very interesting. I hope it works well and its actually durable. It can be a total game changer for all types of sailing yachts.
A true work of art. Expensive no doubt but still. Absolutely stunning. Love the design, the sleek, modern look but then using old tech to sail. The designer and architects of this vessel are true artists. I love it.
People seem to be missing the importance of the no fuel use thing. He mentions the regeneration in the same sentence, what he means is that not only will the sails provide the propulsion but also wit the regeneration they will provide all the power needed onboard, for navigation, lighting, heating, cooling, cooking, fridges, and other amenities. That's really awesome.
WHO NEEDS AMENITIES SAILING??? THE BOAT IS FOR STUPID RICH GUYS WHO NEED TO BE ON THE NEWS EVERY DAY, MAY BE THEY WILL DIE OF AN OVERDOSE ON COCAINE AND SELF STUPIDITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@larosadetokiotokio2244 You must be fun at parties. Let me tell you something, a boat like this takes years to build. Hundreds of people from skilled tradesmen, to naval architects, to engineers, will work on it during that time. Sure the people that buy these boats are filthy rich, but by spending that cash they create tons of jobs and pay peoples salaries. And these aren't shitty jobs they are good quality jobs. It's much better for them to do this then throw all their money into a bank account, precious metals, or bonds.
When Audi was racing the great endurance races a few ago such as Spa & Lemans, they used a combo of turbo diesel & stored electricity to set time & distance speeds. Today's F 1 cars use similar tactics. Saab of Sweden built a car that would coast as it went downhill. At a local airport in Midland, Texas there is a lifesize airplane hanging from the ceiling. It was built and flown in very early 1900's. It looks like a Tinkertoy model. People will always try to build what their mind can dream up. Michaelangelo was design helicopters in the 15th century. Risks be damned. Having an opposable thumb doesn't hurt either.
@@_lime. ok sure, nevermind the corrupt origin of the BLOODY millions, billions, trillions..... right down there with the Bonesaw Golf Tournament. Shit happens, oops. PATHETIC.
All those CO2 emissions they save by sailing trans-atlantic instead of motoring? They just got chewed up by the fly past of his private jet. Those puppies burn fuel quicker than quick.
Interior is the cheapest part - they don't show them so you imagine what you want then they put it in for you. Wealthy taste can be so vulgar that what one wants another thinks awful. Easier to market a dream 👍
@@jm1178 I dont think so. There are many poor people and the society is mostly about money. I think that social capitalism (like jn Germany) is way better.
Absolutely amazing Boat! From out here in the middle of land locked Kansas , never seen anything as beautiful a sailing craft in my life ! Thanks for the glimpse at such a magnificent craft .
I think this is a beautiful ship and very creativity constructed. I'm glad that there are people capable of putting this all together from dream to reality. It gives me great hope for the human race.
Важно, что такие лодки могут покупать достойные люди, а не воры и преступники, такие как российские торгаши, которые сейчас бомбят украинские города, тогда надежда будет не с человечеством, а с горсткой торгашей.
This team has a lot to be proud of. SUPERB craftmanship paired with a heaven sent amount of creativity is much appreciated by my thirst for 'visual calories ' that function like no other. WOW!
Truly one of the most beautiful yachts of the past decades and very likely a classic for decades to come. If I ever become very very very very very very rich, I want one like this.
This is, without doubt, the most beautiful piece of engineering I've ever seen. I never knew metal and cloth could give me goose bumps, but when I saw this being towed through Rotterdam at night.... Oh boy
@@none76ui hmm, I don't necessarily think it's that beautiful. It's an epic design, but it looks more like a Star Wars space ship then a sailing yacht. Still sick though!
What a beautiful and amazing ship... U can see the realiy old ship DNA in the design ... Wow that's the most beautiful looking present time ship I've ever seen... Just beautiful....
Very cool! Especially with the flexibility of the solar sails and cells. I've been waiting for someone to build something like this for 30 years now. It's about damn time! Good job. :)
This beauty was slightly damaged this winter in Porto Montenegro while she was banging on dock during high storm...it was so painful to watch her hopeless when this accident happened Ps. This boat you need to see with your eyes to actually realise how beautiful she is....
Columbus didn't have refrigerators, running water, heated showers, heaters, AC, electric lights, and general all around comfort... All of that requires a power source which either requires fuel, or another form of generating electricity.
funny comment.... no I don't work for Oceanco. i just like boats. it is certainly not by being derogatory in your comments that you are going to raise the debate! I hope I have not used too complicated words in my sentence begins by writing smart things if you want to be credible
I'm a massive fan of sail boats. I did lots of sailing at summer camp. This is the ultimate sail boat for multi-millionaires and billionaires. If I ever hit the lottery this is what I'd get. Thanks.
You won't win the lottery. Your chances for that are not even worth mentioning. But you will be so frustrated by all the display of unfairly divided wealth that you'll spend every cent of your hard work on material shit you never needed. It's called capitalism. Welcome to it's spokesman house: RU-vid.
Finally a boat that solves the power issue completely by harnessing all the elements found at sea.. Wind for propulsion at the same time power. Solar power from the sun. Water for medium. Beautiful.
Yes, gimbles for working surface stoves and everything secure for speed, you'll have to slow way down for comfort 😄 great machine/engineering /BIG DEEP POCKETS
I think both of YOU missed the point. They spent what, $100 million to make that claim? The Cutty Sark was quite the vessel in her day too. Held the Tarns Atlantic record for a very long time. All of a sudden the Maltese Falcon hits the scene and that record falls. Now less than a decade later her record will fall as well. How much luxury do you need before it just becomes something other than sailing. Don't get me wrong... She is a gorgeous vessel even if the name is a bit ridiculous. Have we run out of Greek God names already? I do appreciate that some member of the globalist elite has built a vessel that can run sustainably for such a long period of time but the idea that this is what they spent their money on is kind of grotesque. I live near Annapolis, MD. I have also lived in Miami, FL. The boats that I have seen over the years have been impressive, but I prefer to design and build my own to be more simple. I don't want a full time staff of electrical engineers to have to follow me around trying to find a shorted out wire. Vindication will be, when she is finished, an 84' light weight Catamaran (under 30 tons) capable of running 30 knots while keeping 8 passengers and 4 crew very comfortable indeed. I like to think that the innovations I have designed into her will last for some time. She is a boat for an owner who knows what they want in a boat without having to go to gauche proportions to achieve what mankind has been doing all along. JUST SAILING. Oh and beeching her (stern in) for a party. Try THAT on your precious Perl, or any other modern Cat for that matter.
I don't think Cutty Sark ever held the trans Atlantic record? The longest recent holder of that record was, I believe, the schooner Atlantic run by Charlie Barr. I could be wrong as this comes from memory not a google search. Sailing is wind on sails, wings, kites across the water, ice or land. It's OK to do it in a clipper ship, mega yacht or catamaran under construction.
Actually you are correct. The Cutty Sark held a 24 hour distance record and the Schooner Atlantic was the Trans Atlantic record holder. IDK... I just think there is more to sailing and travel then this.
So let me get this straight.. as a result of all the cutting edge technology they are able to make a transatlantic voyage using no fuel. ummmm.. weren't the Vikings doing that a thousand years ago?
It's so gorgeous! That fly by at the end was epic! Someone needs to make a movie where this yacht goes back in time and ends up sailing next to 16 century Spanish Galleons or 19th century English ships of the line. drooling just imagining it...
The sail technology is apparently the same but this one is several meters longer. I can't believe they can have that massive sailing rig and it can all be deployed and controlled by one person from one control panel. Until and unless it breaks, I guess.
I sow this ship a few years ago in San-Diego Bay. It was a very Large ship . it was impressive that the satellite antenna was in the middle of the mast. A wonderful high-tech boat.
I don’t think that’s comparable here lol it’s a luxury “yacht” so compared to other luxury “yachts” it is very impressive to travel without fuel across the Atlantic
What a wonderful eco friendly way of transporting people about , just imagine the amount of pollution this will save when millions of people start using them. A fantastic well thought out solution to transport problems for all of mankind. Well done guys.
HE meant, with the electricity form the solar sails they can operate the electric engine without using fuel.... a pretty genius concept. the biggest sq meter on a boat and they use it as solar panels.
