This was my favorite song when I was younger playing Smackdown vs Raw 2007. I revisited the soundtrack from the game, and re-listened to this song again. I never realized though how powerful the message of the song was! I love it!
@@styletechnical Eh, I found SVR '06 to be very hit or miss, much rather the original Symphony of Destruction over the remix lol. SVR '05 was banging though, Breaking Benjamin, Powerman 5000, Styles of Beyond, Anthrax, Zebrahead and more, '05 had second best soundtrack imo, followed by '09 ^u^ Although King of the Mat, Pieces, Unretrofied and Start A War are some of my guilty pleasures lol
"You can't win a war, fighting with your brother" just popped into my head. I Googled those lyrics and found this song but I knew I knew it from somewhere! I don't even remember the last time I watched any wrestling!
Lyrics Big train rolling down the line Makes me lonely Sometimes I wish to ride away Sometimes I want to ride away Big plane flying through the clouds Makes me worry Sometimes I wish to fly away Sometimes I want to fly away But you can't judge a book, looking at the cover You can't love someone, messing with another, no You can't win a war, fighting with your brother You wanna have peace, gotta love one another Big guns lighting up the sky Makes me worry Sometimes I wish to run away Sometimes I want to run away But you can't judge a book, looking at the cover You can't love someone, messing with another, no You can't win a war, fighting with your brother You wanna have peace, gotta love one another I have seen my brothers In ashes on the ground And maybe in a new life We can turn this thing around But you can't judge a book, looking at the cover You can't love someone, messing with another, no You can't win a war, fighting with your brother You wanna have peace, gotta love one another No you can't judge a book Gotta love one another Can't judge a book No you can't judge a book
I met Chris Robertson for the first time today at a signing session at the Guitar, Amp & Keyboard centre in Brighton, UK. He's more humble than I expected. He and the rest of the band deserve all the praise they get.
The first time I heard this was back paying Smackdown vs Raw 2007 with my Dad. Yesterday I am happy to say I saw them live and when they played this song, it was amazing, as always :-D
Chris Robertson is a crazy guitar player and lead singer, i love his style and if you can afford his £850+ PRS SE then you can get to sound like him, i doubt you can find a Budda amp like he used to use as he now uses PRS Amps, but choose what you think sounds best! and don't forget either a vox wah or a dunlop zakk wylde wah cos he used them both and now i think he uses his Zakk Wylde signature wah and i have seen him use a morley wah in his rig
Thanks guys for Chris’s comments in Belfast. You probably won’t remember. She was I’ll and waiting for treatment. All went well and she’s in remission. Your show cheered her up. Thanks again.
Here's what Chris told us about the video: Hurricane Katrina had just hit a year earlier, in 2005, and New Orleans was a place that was still in ruins, but there was such a strength and determination to come out of that city that when the record label was like, "You guys are on the road, where do you think we should shoot it?," We were like, "Let's go to New Orleans. Let's go down there. With this city showing all this determination right now and everything, let's capture some of that spirit in this video."
I was at Maximus festival last wednesday. And to hear this song live was fucking epic to me, favorite song from BSC. Thank you guys for coming to brazil, I hope you can come back solo to perform a longer show.
I first listened to this song back when I was playing Smackdown vs Raw 2007, this song never gets old, it brings me back the memories that I had back when I was playing the game
Have to admit, I had a great time shooting the video with these guys, it was even more cool as hell being the face for the chorus, didn't know about BSC until the night before shooting the video, but these guys rock!!!
Il y a chez Black Stone Cherry une cohérence que j'apprécie beaucoup, du son aux rythmes, aux vocaux, aux enchaînements, ce qui donne à leurs titres une dynamique intéressante.
Man I miss Smackdown Vs Raw 2007, easily my favorite one. The custom character stories was great, you can customize your crib and all that fun stuff. This was my favourite song there as well and man theres a lot of nostalgia on that game. Nowadays I no longer watch nor play wwe since its meh but Ill glady come back to that game.
I'm not the one to complain about how many hits or likes or dislikes a video has, but this one surprises me. Not only cause it's a very good song, but also b/c it was in WWE Smackdown Vs Raw 2007 & was used as WWEs Great American Bash theme in 2006, & that can draw fans of the game series towards a song by a band on the soundtrack, & only 122,681 hits since Octoober 09? Really surprises me.
Okay, I've been listening to these guys for awhile now and I think I "finally" get it. I love the beat, the melody, but most of all, the lyrics. No doubt, BSC is a rockin' phenom! However in this age of labeling "EVERYTHING", I have figured out their genre...."SOUTHERN METAL"!!!!!
