The most challenging part of raising caterpillars is sufficient food. Finding and identifying Queen Anne’s Lace wildflower all along the roadsides and fields makes feeding the Black Swallowtail caterpillar an easy task! Pluck the caterpillar off of your parsley or dill and move it into a terrarium filled daily with fresh Queen Anne’s Lace. They love it. The whole family will enjoy the few weeks it takes for this pretty caterpillar to change into a glorious butterfly, right in your home.
