in hundreds and hundreds of shows ive seen, a vocalist never felt his music so damn hard. His performance is straight outta space, i got the goosebumbs of death!!!!!
This is a sentiment shared all over the place. People in the Yorkshire scene who have known him for a long time always say he has demons inside him. He's just immense.
They’re honestly one of the best if not the best on the scene. Atmospherically they create a sound and vibe that no other band has accomplished this well. Its ridiculously good.
Alex is one of the best in the game. Incredible vocal performance. So much raw emotion and presence. The despair and power in Parting Soliloquy, the "Please dont leave me here" gets me everytime. Hoping they come to the states.
@@plsno420 I selfishly want Alex Teyen and Alex Terrible to duet. Both of their vocals together would cause the earth's atoms to implode and the planet to collapse in on itself, sending a shockwave throughout the galaxy so that any advanced extraterrestrial race out there, tinkering with their Dyson Spheres, could catch a glimpse of true power...
@@NoOne-qo6nb I think both of them were guest vocalists on IE record Battle Of Yaldabaoth but they weren't on the same song. I fucking adore that album, my go to cardio workout soundtrack.
Is it just me or is the reverse up-tune effect super sick at 28:50. You know how they’re usually low tuned an octave down? That went an octave up and honestly sounds so cool.
@@RemmyRiffs Well that sucks. I thought I saw that they did a small American tour? (I could be mistaken). I just found out about these guys about a year and half ago. As soon as I heard the first guitar strum on H.C.H.C. I was just like Hell Yes!
@@lucascady4492 Yeah these dude's are legit. Basically wrote the book on downtempo, after these guy's came out a million copy cat downtempo band's came on the scene but not a single one of them can capture the same sound and atmosphere that Black Tongue has. Eddie, Alex, and Aaron are a nasty team and write some amazing music together. Also...maybe I was the one wrong about the passport issue's.
@@RemmyRiffs I watched a few interviews of these guy on YT and they seem like some pretty cool guys. I love how they walk this line of being heavy as fuck, but I am still able to understand the lyrics. Whomever is writing those lyrics is talking about some real heavy ass shit. What's your favorite album by them?
Otherwise, INCREDIBLE show. Glad to see that they played Coma again, was sad to hear they retired it. Any words for how incredible Alex Teyen really is? Everyone in this band is an incredible musician. But to see this kind of proselytizing is pretty incredible (even if I don't know if I agree with it all). Powerful and Inspiring. Thank you BLACK TONGUE.
@@katz9853 I guess he thinks that the band is attempting to convert people's beliefs with their music. I don't think I saw that as much but I haven't finished watching the set yet.
Of course if you seek truth and salvation in our time, black tongue is something that relates to that. We listen what we wanna hear in the end and some people express these things and some wanna listen.
I’m surprised they did Parting soliloquy live tbh. You would have thought of other more obvious choices, the cathedral, ultima necat, possibly even the eternal return to ruin. Cool to see they did Parting live though. Seems like Ultima necat was forgotten about, being the single, it would seem like an obvious choice.
Set-list: 1. Black Fawn Temple 2. Parting Soliloquy 3. Foreshadow 4. Waste 5. L'appel Du Vide (The Call Of The Void) 6. Eclipse 7. In The Wake Ov The Wolf 8. Second Death 9. Coma 10. H.C.H.C. Encore: 11. Fauxhammer
@@noir371 If you're in a baritone scale, the number of strings doesn't impact how low you can go, the bores in your tuning pegs do. They play 30" scale 6-strings with 0.085 gauge bores in the tuners, so they can literally just stick a huge string gauge on and tune low as hell.
I want these guy's to come to New York so damn bad. I heard some of them have issue's with their passport's though...that's a damn shame if that's true.
I love everything about this band. But I really think they need a second guitarist live. There are so many layered parts that would keep the songs from the studio intact with another guitar.
Get off the stage. You don't belong there. It would be fine if you were just stage diving. But hanging out and almost tripping over the cords? Don't take a goddamn selfie with the band. I don't think any of them appreciated that. You're exploiting their good will.
