The Captain has just emptied the treasure chest on one of these deep-vee offshore battle wagons. Time to turn over a few rocks and see where this Black Watch baby came from. *Language Warning* MB01DDNLU01PQOC
Loved the Blackwatch boats. I had the pleasure of working with Trish & Phil Epthorp at Blackwatch Sales - Pittwater when they were operating. My Favourite was the 34 footer that was built for the boys at Bluewater Boats and Sportfishing magazine. That was a weapon. As for putting in a sea keeper, I think every boat should have one. Brilliant invention. At the time I was there, the smaller Blackwatch models, including the 26', were built by Deep Vee Marine at Southport. The 40 & 50 came out of the factory at Chinderah, right on the Tweed river. Another Blackwatch highlight for me was at the Chinderah factory on a test run up the river on a 40 footer with jet drives. Wow, wasn't that an eye opener. Not sure if they kept the jets or converted it back to shaft drive. Anyway, enough of my babble, I'll look forward to seeing the refit video. 😀
What a great vid! love my 26 with a Volvo penta D6 350hp Diesel 35-40l hour at 25-26 knots, 32 knots WOT. Look forward to the updates. Sent you a PM Jack.
Love it lads great choice. I'm in the markets for a Blackwatch 26 with all the fruit but hunting for a Yanmar 315 HP Diesel Shaft Drive. Oh Yeah, Love the Sex Den Trouty , Thats Gold.🤪🙌👍
Really enjoyed The video and have always liked The look of the black watch boats but unfortunately Have only ever heard horror stories on build Quality due to shonky workmanship , It’s a pitty these moulds got passed around and never stuck in production with a quality manufacturer
Have a look at centre console resto mods, I googled upon a US based Bertram years ago, the console had a hard roof and fly bridge station (stainless scaffolding) without most the weight up top. Pod the bum and throw a few outboards at it. Option to Re-locate the head to the centre in front to the (centre) console (gotta keep the ladies happy) or make an epic casting deck up front and you might be able to retain sleeping room in the bow as well as a head. With the outboard mod, you can get the motors out of the water when it’s moored (big plus over stern drive). Pipe dream… but I’d love to see a pair of 600 merc’s but you probably need a bigger hull for that
Little Sex Den Up there ! thats GOLD Lads. Everything your running over on this rig has sealed the del of my next vessel being a Blackwatch 26. Although the only diffrence is I want is a 315 Yanmar turbo shaft drive if I can find one. Beatiful boat lads. Dos it have A/C in the cabin ?
Seventy grand for that forty would be my topas all the work soon adds upive done lotsa boats and that one lokks like its not been looked afterat all ill bet the old owner is laughing all the way to the bank and why didnt you go for a four blade it will hold better in a following sea and will improve the overal handling plus a set of trim tabs and youll get better fuel economy 😊
